You got a good one. I carried a G23 for years off duty. Then bought an AlphaWolf 9mm barrel for it. Most Glock fans think those early Gen guns were better anyway but even Clownifornia allows Gen 3. 🤦♂️. That G22 is an awesome option as well. With that conversion barrel for it you’re money, probably the best couple of pistols you can own.

You have two good Glocks here.I had a Gen 2, 19 that I sold when I retired, couple years ago. I was nuts for doing that. Four years ago I got the Glock itch and bought a brand new Gen4. At the time, around 2010, the Gen 4 with the finger grooves was available so I bought it. Right away, I had the frame finger grooves removed and had the grip stippled to what I like. The factory texture nubs I never liked. The Gen2 are great guns, I wish still had mine they last forever and it felt better in my hand- the G19 that is. You did good on replacing the spring, gave it a little tune up. The finish was so much better on the older Glocks as well. You have two great shootres here enjoy
40 SW is just fine. I'm getting ready to pick up what may be my last semi-auto handgun as well. I went with an M18 and not because I am a sig fan, but just because it's the military's pistol and I have more than one glock so if it is going to be my last i figured that may be a good one to go with. The reason I say it may be my last is because I live in a blue state only a few states down and after this election it may be impossible. I hope not.
Many FFL'S were selling gen 4-5 glock frames, then all that was needed was to buy a completed slide to finish your build and then file the EFA10 within 7 days of completion. Even GOAL (they have an FFL) was doing this. Admittedly, now with new laws hard to say whats going to happen now.
I do know that, but it’s legally questionable, though legal, so I try not to talk about it too much on public arena- I try to stay above board on everything I do
I had a gen4 Glock 22 as a duty weapon. When I retired I purchased a 9mm conversion barrel from Optics Planet, it functioned with FMJ but failed miserably with hollow points. Ultimately I sold the G22 gen4 because an injury from an accident I couldn't pull the slide back on it. However I purchased a new G17 gen3 and with the single recoil spring I can pull the slide back easier. Do I believe the 9mm is better than the 40 NO.

On that G23 and G22 with the 9mm barrel, the ejector should be swapped for a G19 G17 they have an angle to hit the smaller diameter 9mm case.

Take the plug out the back is a vent for when the gun gets wet or humid it can dry out when holstered.
