  • The "Arctic" apples have a suppressed enzyme that delays the browning that occurs after an apple is cut or bruised.

    Why the fuck is this a thing anyways? Who just takes a bite then sets it down for hours, just to finish it later? I finish a apple in less than 5-10 minutes like a normal person. Give me natural apples, not these lab grown apples.

      bugs fruit flies or rodents etc. could be cause of biting into fruits and cause browning......

      1. fruit flies only go after rotten fruit or fruit sliced open (which a normal person wouldn't leave out)
      2. If you have rodents crawling over your food then its time to move or get a exterminator.

      Nicolas Cage rats roaches and other critters can be found where anyone lives.... in sheds, garages pipes, ceilings, attics, cellars, plaster walls even under your bed or matress etc.... they are very hidden and come out at least human activity and head straight for your kitchen to snack on LOL

    the apples are still going bad but just not showing the brown colour. the browning has a purpose as an indicator.
    it's like getting rid of the smell of smoke when there is a fire but the fire is still there.
    the only ones benefiting are the fruit and food companies that can make more money selling bad apples as good apples.

      Toxicmeatloaf the apple you were eating before was already genetically modified to taste as sweet as it is. If you want a non-genetically modified apple, go out and pick a wild one. I'll tell you now, they are much smaller, less sweet, and less delicious. Or you could simply google "wild apple"
      Just eat those if you don't understand science

    Interesting observation; the apple turned brown only where my upper & lower teeth met… ?the heat from my breath?

  • @tara666420
    @tara666420 9 лет назад

    I'll never eat another apple ever again. Who the heck cares if the outer portion of the apple turns brown? Just cut it off and finish the thing. How hard is it to eat a whole apple... The "Arctic" Ornamental apples are not for eating they are for admiring.

    Humans have been genetically modifying food since the invention of agriculture through selective breeding. Modifying food in a lab is conceptually identical and simply accelerates the process.

      There is a big difference between plant breeding and genetically modifying something.

    I don't see the problem with this particular apple, it's hard to not find a food that is non-GMO so the anti-GMO people here are really hypocritical.
