Could you also share tips or tricks for design iterations. How to not get stuck at one design idea. I tend to get stuck on a particular design I have made but I would like to practice iterations
Hi Rachel! I strongly resonate with your story and admire your focus and determination in everything you do (l literally binged 4 videos back to back). For me, I would like to learn about prepping a presentation and sharing your project with your stakeholder or with your VP of design. What do you include in the presentation that makes the most impact? Do you have tips on delivering your process and results in a succinct and coherent way? Much thanks in advance!
Hey Rachel, I'm a beginner UXD self taught learner and I just want to let you know that I truly am grateful for you. I was so overwhelmed didn't know where to start because I'm the kind of person who's mind works well with information being organized into it's different compartments for me to know how to take it on a step at a time. There are so many resources all over the internet, but just like you, I also didn't have the qualifications but truly believe that I can commit myself to learning and getting myself in the job market. So not only did your story help me seeing how possible it is, but also your road map helped me come up, together with the resources I got from all over a curriculum of my own that I can now work on. Thank you for taking your time to create that. Thank you for being honest and transparent with your journey and thank you for your video content, and also for believing in yourself, because your journey has truly been a light for me. As I start mine, I just wanted to let you know that I'm now a full on subscriber and will be watching your material. I look forward to updating you on how it goes, and my first successful job.
i feel the same way! she's exactly what i was looking for as someone to listen to start my journey. the tips were as practical as i expect them to and it didn't feel like she was holding back/gatekeeping what could actually be helpful.
This is hands down the BEST video . I'm transitioning to technology and I have been ALL over the place. I still want to be fluent in my coding and go into Front End first, but I also am interested in UX/ UI Design. TY!!
Loved the flow of this video, super seamless and easy to follow and understand. Very helpful even for non-UX designers as well, thanks for sharing how we can improve as designers, Rachel! Great video 💯
Hi, Rach. This is my second time watching this video and I would like to express my thanks to you for your effort to prepare for this video. I have browsed a lot of other UX designers who shared their experience on RUclips but then only few of them gave very practical advice. This video is the best!! Thank you for empowering more UX designers-to-be and support you 100% for creating more videos in future! I will kickstart my learning and share with you about it later!!
This is such great information! I have been working as a freelance graphic designer for several years now and UI/UX is the next career I want to pursue. I work now at a company doing graphic design, but love how you taught yourself and applied to jobs regardless of the posted qualifications! Every design job that I have had is because I didn't care what the qualifications were and I just did good work and made a solid portfolio, so this is awesome information
I am in the process from being an illustrator to UI/UX Designer. The knowledge/content you have shared is the hard work and years of research. Thank you for sharing really gives a direction. I am so happy to subscribe your channel.
I personally want to focus on doing ui design instead of ux but all these resources are super helpful! I have been studying ux just to have knowledge about it but I know what I really want to do is design interface elements. This video has been the most clear and inspiring out of all videos of this type! I did feel a little nervous about starting a daily ui challenge but now I think I might be able to tackle it
Hi Rachel, as a viewer, I would like to say huge thank you to you for providing such easy and clear videos! I've recently been trying to understand more about how to switch into UX design and i couldn't find any info in Malaysia until i found your channel. Hi Rachel. Thank you so much for sharing your experience. It's really helpful and inspiring. Now I'm considering changing my career path from a policy analyst to a UX designer.
