Dude, you make some of the clearest content on ESO on the web. Great video, came here for tanking tips & tricks, but you gave so much more insight! Keep up the good work man!
Agreed! I play on low graphics, I can't believe I've NEVER noticed those red sparks. Even now when pointed out I struggle to see it. With so much bling from ppl's fancy skins and costumes, shiny pets running around... it breaks the immersion for me and makes it hard to see simple things like this basic mech alert lol. Also really weird the game never taught this in tutorials. (Like synergies!) Well, I realised lately I have little clue how all buffs and effects look like, studying them will probably bring order to the chaos. Defs going to see myself these with some wb today.
This was super helpful in trying to figure out how to do ranged interrupts! Venom Arrow and Force Shock - got it! Thank you so much for your detailed and careful explanations. Your content is priceless!
I think the biggest issue people have remembering to block and interrupt properly is that while the tutorial does teach you how, it doesn't teach you when you can interrupt and when you need to block instead. Even if you turn on the setting for tutorials and help with that, it doesn't seem to always show and doesn't tell you how to figure it out yourself. So a player that figures it all out themself or learns from someone else that doesn't know wouldn't know when to interrupt, when to shield, and when to dodge roll, resulting in them doing the simple thing and not bothering or screwing up when to do what
Thanks for making this series. I’ve watched both the light/heavy attack and dodge/interrupt videos. There is one important question I don’t think you answered, though. If you cover it in a later video, apologies, but what I’m wondering is how do I determine when to stop spamming attacks (light, heavy, skills) so I can be ready to block or interrupt? What happens is I’ll be hacking away, I see the spark indicating a heavy or interrupt-able skill is coming, but I can’t block or interrupt in time, I guess because the game buffer is still processing my attack inputs? Do you have any advice about this?
I have generally ran my mag chars with Crushing Shock, so interrupting was easy. I started using the off balance Templar and leant very quickly to interrupt while going through my rotation and continue with my rotation.
Very useful (still, hard to spot the graphics if you are not a tank and fighting off 20 dremora that each start their attacks at different times so all you CAN do is move away or hold block 24/7 until your tank pulls them in so you can then step out of stupid and start dealing damage)
Also, need to state that the enemy would be immune to CC when they have been cc the first time. For eg: once they are feared, they won't be able to be feared for the next few seconds so chaining interrupts might hurt the group more.
Hey what's up great video and series . I just cant believe that you didn't pick up that platinum node in the background that showed real professionalism. I wanted to farm it when I saw it .
Hey man, I loved this video and how it was so clear, but I noticed through a video made by NefasQS that there are going to be some changes to the blocking system within one of the updates to come. How does all the information in this video still apply to that?? Thanks in advance man, great new fan of your channel!!!
2024 and this info is still invaluable. Fallout 76 plays almost identically to Fallout 4. This plays entirely different to Skyrim and that's what trips new players like me up.
I had to double my volume on my PC just to be able to hear you and then get blasted by the next RUclips video I watch when I forgot to turn the volume back down.
Hey just so you know the playlist for this series is uploading backwards (as in, this is the first video in the playlist, and your first video is showing up last)
Exactly the same as everyone else. The bash I show you in the video is the bash you get taught in the tutorial. There are ranged interruptable skills but a "BASH" is the same for everyone.
hello...why almost every video of eso i see in youtube..the players are using gamepad instead of mouse+keyboard? do most of them play on console or they just prefere gamepad instead?
Thanks for this. I was getting my ass handed to me as a dap..I even stopped playing for awhile cause I figured I just sucked. Now with this little common sense tactic. I did less. Back to Basics applys here.
“Bad player don’t block interrupt, bad players dodge roll too much, and bad player swap bars too often while blocking” First two oof for me, third one I obviously don’t do because I never swap bars.
not just you. i can't see the interrupt cue to save my life, especially with all the flashy abilities being used all the time. i wish the red lines were longer like the block cue.
You are really cheating yourself if you don't interrupt, block, or dodge roll. I came from Everquest and WoW where you spend most of the time just watching hp bars going up and down and sinking keys when they pop up again. There's very little engagement with the virtual world / fictional world of the fight. ESO made these great features that force you to engage with the virtual world in order to be successful. Little things like these are what make this game great.

I can barely see the red sparks! Is there no way to change the color?
I am colorblind and I can't see them at all on that background.... I wish I could change them like on the aoe circles.....
@@glajah6380 I am not colorblind and I still can't see them.

I can see them, I usually don’t notice them. I have to specifically look for them, which a lot of the time I’m focusing on other stuff
@@eevillest the game teaches you this about 2 minutes into the tutorial

Thank you for the video. As A tank everyone just sits back and expects you to interrupt everything.
There, did you see that? Me: no
Thanks, I am just starting and I really appreciated this guide.
How often are you dropping these videos? they are very helpful and look forward to seeing more.

I would imagine, as he stated that the next video would be about CC, that this would be addressed then. ;)

As a DPS, I'm VERY good at dodge rolling out of attacks. I am very BAD at blocking. I have trouble with the timing and almost always get hit.
But I keep working at it.

can player be interrupted in pvp? if yes, what happen to the player that interrupted by another enemy player?
Is there a dark elve sorcer build that had good dps and is easy to play?
i dont sèe the interrupt q

Another great video. Are you still active?
I see the white sparks, but I'm not seeing the red
THE MOST IMPORTANT SKILL SET!!!! For sure and it is missed so often.
