That is a great vid in the terms of understanding what is happening, but one question: how can you see these subtle swirly things during a fight? Most of the time in a dungeon I can barely see the mobs through my own lightning skills. And there are three more people throwing stuff...
Agony Totem is my favorite CC in the game. It makes necrotanking really easy, dont need Grave Grasp. Put Blockade of Frost down and get them all in an AT, they arent moving and I have time to get taunt while everything is slowed or feared.
I would really love to see a skill like the Frost Staff version of Destructive Clench allow you to immobilize 2 or 3 enemies with the damage done eliminated or reduced. Wouldn't be as good as Talons, but would be functional which is what certain classes need to be functional as tanks. Silver Leash & Turn Evil, Defensive Posture have all gotten really positive class agnostic pro-tanking changes (although having a fear for anyone does, unfortunately, kinda take away from nightblade uniqueness). A simple short-range & multi-enemy immobilize seems like a good next step.
So if there is a CC immunity cooldown, why did they have to take "Agony" away from the Nightblade class? Will they add it back in, now? (Especially since the npc "Nightblades" still have the skill!!!)

Is the sword and shield viable for solo pve? I really like the look of them and want to use them for my orc stam dk but I keep reading you cannot do enough damage with them to use them?
Everything is viable if you combine it with the right stuff oh, I know this was four months ago and might not be useful to you anymore but look at all the strengths of one hand and shield and the things that you can do as long as you don't accidentally taunt stuff because that's not your job as a DPS. You have more mitigation and other bonuses so you can build everything else completely squishy and probably survive just fine. One thing that may be worth considering is Bash weaving instead of light attack weaving for your damage. I'm not super familiar with this and I don't imagine it would be simple to do but it's an option. So play around with all the sets that are out there and ways to buff what you can do and once again just make sure you don't use puncture so you don't make it difficult for the tank to control things. I would also recommend something like a bow or two-handed back bar to give you access to more damage abilities and be able to place dots on the ground that will ensure you have a constant ticking glyph on your back bar. He has a patreon perk where he will do builds with you to help you build what you want and make it more viable. I'm personally going to be chewing on this idea for a while because it sounds interesting so if you hit me up I'll let you know what I figure out x d but people also commonly use this in PvP instead of PVE period check out his Tormentor PVP one hand and shield build
Also I just realized you said solo PVE, I think it could be incredibly useful in that! Then you could take advantage of the double debuff of puncture and it won't matter because you're the only one in the area. I think you could actually be onto something that makes solo PVE a little bit easier
@@Sirkento I never did try it out, I really wanted to build an orc stam dk one handed and shield, my original idea was like a barbarian non magic user, but I realised that was almost impossible so I gave up on it but now you've got me thinking about it again
@@lukedorrington7455 it's not impossible just because a couple try-hard better than everybody else people said it was oh, you could make the next big metal thing just by playing around with ideas that nobody else thought of. Get the eso helper app, then you will have lots of information about skills at your fingertips and then combine things together focusing on filling in the gaps, appealing to the strength, and strengthening the weaknesses. This also might sound ridiculous but watch a lot of his build videos because you will learn a whole lot about character builds and skills and passives and all that kind of stuff. A good place I would personally start is with the new Arena one hand and shield set where you use power bash and suck everything in within 12 Mi. And then you could bar swap to a back bar two-handed and cleave everything in front of you with I think the Maelstrom weapon that increases your damage based off the number of enemies hit. You could even charge into the biggest guy and drop-down crit charge with the morph that leaves the AOE on the ground, make that weapon infused, and put the weapon and spell damage glyph on it. As long as that enemy is alive you should get a hundred percent uptime of a huge damage buff. And then against especially strong targets you can debuff the crap out of them with puncture. Just a place to start but I think you're going to have a lot of fun with it👋
Also hybrid builds are getting a lot more love now, destruction staff on your back bar to benefit from some of the things that they can do, but you could also just do a bow but I recommend something that leaves an AOE on the ground so you can get the benefit of that glyph
I'm on xbox1 eso I was killing stuff and I randomly got a thing it says crowd control immunity and it says I have time remaining 49710d 6h 08m 50s what is it it's the first time I had it and the time for it is -1000 it keeps going up in negative what is crowd control immunity?
From cp 300 til now cp 610. My dps still 20k with magdk. ALSO!!! i saw someone in cp 200 can get 40k dps. What's wrong? I followed every detail in every video. 30+ min without skip Some time before i start the battle i'm using Oblivion n buff up n then heavy attack+ fire breath i got 40k dps after that the dps decrease to 20k 🤣 sigh....
@Inquisitorius i'm using "Valacas" build from Alcast. The cp are the same but for set i'm using burning spellwave in jewl n weapon n armor is julianos full divine with all purple
@@MAPratama45 Just using a Build won't cut it. you'll need to ractice your rotation a LOT to get your DPS up, it also depends what dummy you're using ( the standard 3M / 6 M, or the 21M Trial dummy with Buffs) - they'll give hugely different results.

In PVP all I see is the health bar over the enemies heads.
NOTE: Current immunity for stuns after break free is 7 seconds :)
