Hello, thank you for your video. Problem with my Xperia 5iii just went black screen whilst charging it and watching RUclips at same time. If I just press the start button it flashes a green light, but does not open. It will not charge up, but shows a red flickering light in the top right corner when the charging lead is attached. When I tried to force start the light flashes with intermittent vibrations That was two weeks ago, and I attempted to leave the battery to drain but still it will not charge up. Would you please advise with this?

@i-am-KEO No. Took it to a repair shop, too expensive to repair. Wanted to charge me £40 for looking at it, so I left it with them instead 😡.
both my xperias have black screen all that works is the red light when it's plugged in :( to repair it, EE said they might charge me 184 if they think it's my fault. i know it's not but i can't afford that and they might just say it's my fault to charge me. it's so expensive to take it into a repair shop and they don't even fix anything

i have a sony experia xa2, had it about 4 years now and had a sd card in it from just after buying it. i did a normal restart today to clear cache etc and when it came on it said !sd card not compatable, do you want to format sd card. so i just clicked off that and restarted the phone from power option as i didnt want to lose whats on the card and thought it was just an odd glitch. so it powered off but didnt come back on, and wont come on at all, it doesnt even show a light for charging if i plug it in. will just unplugging the battery for a while then plugging back in work do you think?? thanks.

Hi I am having trouble turning on my Sony Xperia S it stopped working about 7 years ago but when I put it on charge there is a red light but it is not flashing I tried holding the power on button and the volume button but nothing seems to work.Can you please help me.

My sony xperia xz is on black screen also but the screen is working like when I touch the screen it makes sound from dialling numbers that I don't see because of the black screen... I already tried everything even the one from this video but still, the screen won't turn on.....Do you have any suggestion about this? I really want to see the phone working again.

Thanks!! Feb 2023 - followed same, had to charge the battery directly using a made up USB cable until voltage was about 3.6V .. reconnected battery in phone .. yipeee it turned on, and then could complete charging via normal method!!

I kinda tried to remove the screen when the phone was still on and connect it back.
Now the screen is blacked but the touch is still working. Is the screen broken or the main broke because of what i did ?

SOOOOO FRUSTRATING! I had to actually take it somewhere. The guy just put the charging wire in and it started working. Why did it stop in the first place is my real question.

Hi bro, i have a xperia 5 mark i. The phone was showing app is unresponsive and I hit wait. The screen went blck and it won't turn on. Th haptics are working and the notification light as well. thanks for your comment. 1st if you can remove your battery connector of your phone. if not work then 2nd flash your phone software or try to hard reset of your phone.
Hello. Last night I felt my phone vibrate in my hand, battery was about 50%, then it just would not respond. It's a sony xperia z2, the red light at the top comes on if I try to charge it but all buttons and screen are unresponsive. Is it a battery issue? Sorry I don't have any more info than this other than I did not drop it or anything, and it won't start, reset or connect to a PC.

Thank you for this but there's a simpler fix to this!!!
Just disconnect both screen/digitizer cables and charge the phone without the battery for ~10minutes and it should start up.
Because if voltage of the battery is too low, then mostly it can't charge it because it needs to give power to the screen too, and by doing this it can concentrate on charging only the battery!

If you can - Open your phone back side, disconnect battery for 10 sec, reconnect battery. Your phone work again.

Hi & thanks for your video, i am no good with electrical tools so wondering if my X compact needs this. The screen is black but if i press & hold power & volume up, it vibrates & a very dark blue light which then goes off but charging light is there when plugged in but nothing else. Many thanks.
