Epic storytelling. This is EXACTLY what TV should be used for. Stop this "Reality TV" nonsense, concentrate on real human stories. Putting a human face on this story made the difference. Well done to the whole production team.
The huge success of this production could inspire a whole raft of 'social justice' series... It could be a very good thing for our society to overcome corruption and misused power within the current establishment.
I remember seeing the Panorama programme on this in 2015 and thinking then, why is this not being talked about? I think that the drama brought the human element into it that news reports and documentaries can’t and we don’t see the people and suffering behind it.
I just finished watching this drama in Australia and words escape me. I was shocked by the injustice done by the British Post Office, disgusted at their arrogance sickened angry and lastly deeply saddened at the loss of lives that were ended so unnecessarily I pray for justice for all those innocent people.
I have watched and read so much about this story, I didn't feel the need to watch the drama. Such a shame that politicians don't do the right thing, until a large amount of the general public take an interest in the story. How do we change this, as so many lives are ruined by politicians not doing what they should do. This applies to all the political parties, the system keeps failing people.
I suspect this show will sell very well in the commonwealth countries although it may not be broadcast until late at night because of the number of reality trivia shows that must be shown in prime time
This is the sort of program which should be made by the BBC using public funds - however I'm sure some arm bending in the background would have binned this before it saw the light of day...
The PO was using heavy weight corporate firm of lawyers to conceal their wrong doing just like banks an the PO is a bank. Those lawyers and the defendants lawyers who were officers of the court should be made accountable for their complicity in dishonesty and concealment.
Don't worry, the arrival of AI tools will make extraordinary productions possible on a shoestring budget, and distribution will also be unlocked for film makers.

The problem was in deploying too soon and covering up the bugs by blaming the innocent users, which was indescribably evil on the part of Post Office management and Fujitsu engineering. Absolutely no excuses, they should be facing criminal prosecution for what they did to the hundreds of families they persecuted.

What’s sad is that somehow, quality of person that generally inhabits the UK is that of a reality tv personality.
This drama has exposed corruption, lack of training, staff shortages of the PO and the laziness of civil servants.
It exposed the contempt of post office bosses for anyone unfortunate enough to have dealings with them.

Fair play to the cast for doing this on low rates to tell the story....they acted through it so well. They made it so realistic and emotional.
