Can you imagine the injustices that have gone unnoticed in years gone by, without someone with Mr Bates tenacity to fight for justice. Everything I was taught about our country when I was young is a sham..but every now and then someone like Mr Bates gives us all hope.

Don't forget the Tories sold off the PO at a bargain basement price to their friends and cronies. The reason they are deliberately holding back restorative justice is because it tarnishes their ideology.
Apaar from giving back the PO stole from the post masters is that all but 90 convictions are still in force leaving these innocent people with a current criminal record. They should all be pardoned immediately.

Another question relating to this scandal is who backed the Postmaster's litigation? The court awarded the JSPM's case £58 million but they were told only £12 million would be left to share, between 550 litigants, after the backers got their percentage!! Who would take that much of a cut from these poor people? This whole criminal scandal by the so-called justice system is shameful.

None of us can ever imagine what the lady and gentlemen post office masters/mistress's went through. Many of them going that extra mile to help their customers and this is how they get rewarded.

To hear that even the central campaigner Alan Bates has not yet been fully compensated to date is shocking indeed! One can only assume that the PO are dragging their heels in paying their long long overdue compensation in order to minimise the sums paid out as more people die before receiving what is rightfully due to them. This whole debacle is simply disgusting! Hundreds of wrecked lives! Those responsible need holding to account right NOW!

It's the same 'actuarial' attitude as used by the insurance companies/cartel in accident injury cases. Spin it out as long as possible in the hope that people will die before they have to be paid out.
This could be avoided if people like the Post Office were obliged to pay interest on late payment, and if people do die while waiting, their compensation should go to their estate, surely?

There was a similar scandal in Australia - Robo-debt. From 2013 to 2019; over 560,000 Australians on social security benefits received computer-generated debt notices, totalling $1.76 billion. The soc
computers at CentreLink (the social-security service) claimed that the benefit recipients had under-stated their earned income, by using the income from their tax return for the previous year, to estimate their income for the current year - even though it might have hugely fallen - e.g. after losing their job. At least 30 people took their own lives, after receiving their letter. The scandal led to an Australian Royal Commission, which found that Prime Minister Scott Morrison and two other Ministers had failed to check😂 that the scheme was lawfull (legal). So far, compensation of $760 million (£380 m.) has been paid to 360,000 people. PS - Australia’s Seven Network started screening Mr Bates vs the Post Office last night (14 Feb), after huge publicity. Alas, no mini-series yet, on the Robo-Debt scandal (Kym in Darwin)

Why do they still keep saying it was a faulty computer system? They don't know what was happening in the background.

Management in Post Office recognised it was their only profitable activity from which they could get bonuses & awards. Politicians are culpable & want to burt the truth.

I've stood up to antisocial neighbours, those dealing and partaking in drugs.
Decades of difficulties, and abuse from the police and others who I had hoped and believed would back me up, instead I've been criminalise... repeatedly!
I'm looking to create a RUclips channel?
I'm a writer, I've tried to use WordPress, but to little avail... any help from people would be appreciated please?

The compensation of these poor peole should come from the whoever took the Post Office profits maybe those on a massive pension, rather than alway coming from the tax payer, while those in the wrong retire living a luxury lifestyle and never have to pay a penny back 🤬

Time and again public sector organisations and Central government start to reinvent the wheel by investing in new software systems when there is no shortage of very good accounting systems tried and tested. Some years ago TFL invested in new signalling software when tried and tested software especially Canadian software existed. It led to dreadful signalling problems and huge waste of funds. Same again with the identity card system scrapped by PM Cameron after wasting 8 billion whilst some excellent identity systems available and working in many many countries. I just don't understand it!
