From today, people in England will be required by law to wear a face covering in shops and public places. It follows at least 14 recorded cases of the new Covid-19 variant Omicron detected in the UK. Brits will be required to wear masks in shops, banks, post offices, hairdressers and public transport and face fines of £200 if they refuse. But with Dr Angelique Coetzee - the GP who first told the world about Omicron - calling Britain’s response “extreme”, the women will be debating whether the new measures are responsible or an overreaction?
