If the Post Office is allowed to survive, the guilty bosses must be jailed and bankrupted, and the Post Office must be stopped from policing itself. Fujitsu and its bosses must also pay.

❤absolutely agree, i read and watch the post office scandal and thought thats a bloody disgrace on what happened to those innocent people, but after watching the 4 part tv episodes, my blood is boiling, those spineless scum that knew about the faults in horizon but still knowly and deliberately allowed inocent people get arrested instead of admitting about horizen everyone must be held accountable and arrested

I shudder to think of the bloated salaries, bonuses and pension contributions these scum have leeched. And what about the spineless rank and file who were complicit? No qualified accountants amongst the assorted staff and 'auditors'? Some of them will have known, but remained silent, despite their Institutes ethical requirements? I could go on, legal department, IT. Lots of people need to have a good look at themselves.

what made it real is it was recognisable - there are TV drama's about spies or jet pilots or policemen but so few of us have done that but we have all been in a Post Office and bought a stamp or taxed a car or knew people who worked there ......the most relatable drama acted by a superb cast - loved every minute whilst at the same time being outraged - the fact that Will refers to those affected as "we" still shows the investment in the project.

The biggest miscarriage of justice in the UK for a very long time. Heartbreaking for everyone involved. Thankfully this drama has finally brought the story to the wider public. Everyone played their parts incredibly well, a brilliant production and Will is right, I too had to keep reminding myself this is a true story, even though I've followed it for many years. Best wishes to all the families affected. ❤

The thing about this wonderful drama is how it connected all the dots for everyone and brought the whole awful story together. I thought that this scandal had been discovered and sorted years ago. And that's the problem with news stories. They can only cover parts of what is happening at the time. But often the nuances and pertinent points of the stories are lost along the way. This drama unfolded the whole morbid truth for these victims including what it did to their lives. That completeness can't be obtained over years of turmoil and intricate details of what happened. It's a wonderful thing that has been done for these people. At last. I just hope it serves them well. They truly deserve our support.

It's amazing that a lot of these sub postmaster's have survived.
Some have died and others may have committed suicide.
Its an absolute disgrace that the establishment (the post office) have been allowed to abuse their power and liar , to gain convictions against innocent people.
Everyone should be compensated, even the poor souls who are no longer alive and the post office management should be held to account.
I have been watching the series, great drama in highlighting a true and tragic injustice against people who were pillows of their community.
I only hope that everyone of the postmasters can get their lives back and that the nation is behind you.
Good luck to all the postmaster's, you deserve it.

A terrible case of corporate bullying, I've been following it for a few years now and one strange thing is that there's never been any suggestion that the post office (or the government) have any intention of sueing Fujitsu for supplying a clearly massively crap product. If you bought a car that wouldn't start you'd at least want your money back. If it crashed because of a manufacturing fault and you broke your

The reason being it was the government who sanctioned the PO’s action against the postmasters. The village postmaster where I used to live told me that the bitch in a dog collar was under orders by the government to close as many of the small post offices as she could. I was also informed that the bitch in a dogs collar would receive a hefty bonus if she achieved the government’s objectives. Hence the government never could go to contract law to obtain compensation from Fujitsu as that might expose the whole scam! As the only shareholder in the PO who else could have sanctioned such scandalous behaviour.

I was aware of this absolute scandal for a while (2012, then Panorama in 2015), signed every petition, wrote to my MP etc, but it took this amazing ITV dramatisation to really bring home the true scale of the human toll this has taken. I sincerely hope proper reparation as well as compensation is made to every single victim and the families of those who have since died. There is a pattern of inhumanity in todays government, delay, delay, delay, in the hope everyone will have died in the meantime. Same with Hillsborough and the same with the contaminated blood scandal STILL going through the courts now. Where is the humanity and decency tbese people deserve? Well done to ITV for bringing this great scandal to a wider audience.

Mind, Cause i could have been one of them poor people fighting for Justice. Well my heart goes out to
Every one of them. Shame on you Post office, This is so sad to be honest with you, What is this world
Coming to. What's gonna happen to the money that belongs to the 60 people that died waiting for Justice.
Oh YEH!, Silly me, they get to keep it don't they, Where is the justice in that i ask you. I wish i could fight
along side them i really do. Im'e really glad they showed this program, It needed to be shown to Expose
them for what they really are, Conning Robbing little Ass**les. Whops did i just swear there, i am so sorry
not. I have no more words to say, Accept to just say my heart is with you guys, And i hope you get the

The series was great, its a shame there were so many adverts. Lovely Will Mellor spoke with empathy and passion that I had felt watching this series. The post office tried to cover up, to conceal and their only aim was damage limitation to their brand no matter what. They used the their power to intimidate and to misdirect the blame not caring at all for their loyal postmasters or what they were going through. Its a disgrace and justice has still not done its job.

In sorting offices they have a different entrance to the office and sit behind dark windows to observe. You only saw them when they i watched a Postie arrested in the office.( he got 3 years at the Old Bailey) I saw it happen once in the 8 years i worked there. Loads got found out when there was an electrical fire and they all scrambled down an escape ladder onto the sorting office floor. I had one plant a fake "letterbomb in my pile of work..I had sussed out everytime the managers called us for a "team meeting" something would be found straight after so i turned around and watched him place it..i coughed to get his attention and pointed at him...he gave me a filthy look and walked away!

We've been directed to be individuals. Dog eat dog. Imagine if Alan Bates hadn't bothered?

Two points I'd like to bring up:
1: Everyone keeps saying, "It's the Post Office, it's the Post Office" but it's NOT. It's NOT the Post Office, as an institution and organisation, that is at fault; it's the PEOPLE who RAN the Post Office at the time who did this, and they are the ones who should answer and suffer for what they chose to do.
2: The main question that bothers me, and so far as I can see yet remains to be addressed or answered, is WHY? Why did the bosses choose to blame the Sub Postmasters, when it was obviously the Horizon System that was at-fault? Why did they choose to go so far as to frame people for theft and fraud, and destroy their lives, all to defend a computer system that THEY KNEW, CATEGORICALLY, was broken? WHY were they so desperate to protect the Horizon System, no-matter the cost?

One of my favourite actors is Will Mellor, so under used. If he isn't given the lead in some meaty drama then someone in TV is missing a trick.

It is not the Post Office it is the technological efficiency drives that were created and built by the conscious cognosentient being (the human) that historically is flawed by individual and collective faults.

The people who sold the computer software are a lot smarter than the people who bought the software, and then the people who through blatant ineptitude who had spent millions on the software didn't have the integrity to take accountability, and laid the blame on those who had no idea of what was going on..

Sad how a well-acted drama can re-kindle public interest in a scandal; this started over ten years ago, was in all the papers, but people get bored and moved onto something else.

I don't suppose mail is a big deal really in these modern times but I would like energy and water to be re-nationalised and run as not for profit.
Is it possible?? I would hope so

Not a good look for the UK’s legal system. Perception from the other side of the pond [US]. Considering the portrayed attitude / culture of those in positions of authority, in the UK, I'm not surprised at how this played out. Based only on what I've seen in videos & read in comments, coming from people in the UK, it seems that those in authoritative positions, regardless of the insignificance of their office, they function as if they have been given absolute, infallible powers from some all-powerful deity or royal source. Do not question my authority, I am the law, you are guilty until proven innocent. That’s just my perception.
