I have one too. Just recently purchased from a grocery store. Some call it an aloe aculeata from my research. Very cool plant I must agree. Good luck with yours too because from what I've learned from others is that over watering is the biggest threat.
Really nice looking aloe. I have just a few common ones. Just starting the tender succulent collection myself. I always dealt with the outdoor hardy type before. Always grateful for more information.
It comes from South Africa and will grow taller than you! It's used to a dry, rocky environment and won't handle freezing temperatures. It flowers end of dry winter providing birds with nectar when not much else is available.
I have a plant that looks a lot like yours, but it has very tiny leaves and almost looks like a cactus than an aloe. I wonder if I have some small version and if it will grow bigger later.
Thanks again too. Perfect balance explaining the amount of care, and the insights are humorous to me, especially the evolutionary process

Africa has badass rare succulents and aloe! I have an aloe collection most of them are from Africa. Tree aloes are my favorite!
That’s a really cool aloe!
I just bought one. Thanks for indications! :)

This makes me very happy...
That needs full sun if you want it grow big and look good. Great plant
@@yoyoyohihihidude I agree completely, when I take them outside they grow double the amount
Neat aloe👍🦋
2024 .update on this plant!!!
I've had mine 2 years
Cool plant. I do NOT do good with aloes for some reason. I have a basic one, and every time I water it...a stalk dies.
It is a lot of different variables to maintaining plants indoors... I dont do well with ferns😕😔
Yes sir. I have finally did an updated plant tour, so check it out when you get the chance. I am currently at 72 plants and counting.

What's your opinion about people eating aloe on RUclips?
Definitely do-able ... Start an aloe challenge?? I see it in a lot of natural drinks
@@gerardshorticultureculture7579 People are eating raw aloe from the plant...Sorry about the typo earlier...
