Aloe was my first ever houseplant. I killed it from overwatering, but it started my love for plants ans led me to this channel. Now I've got 3 very healthy aloe plants Ive kept alive about 3 years now, among a hoard of other houseplants and gardens.
Your timing couldn't be better as I have an aloe that I need to do this too! Thanks - you make it look easy!
One of the amazing things about aloe is not only its healing properties but the ability to propagate via runners making it very easy to get new plants.
Thank you!!!
So happy to have Laura to enjoy my coffee with on a Friday!! What a wonderful day!!!
I am a new subbie and I am really enjoying your videos. I’m 63 and I love to garden again. I love in Texas so we have our own trials and challenges. Lol. Thanks for sharing your genius knowledge. I am learning so much! 💕
That aloe is gorgeous! Always love your videos! 💚💚💚💚💚💚
Thanks
You can put cinnamon on the roots before planting them to help speed up the healing.
Beautiful tip thank you for this
I worked for a nursery in AZ that had hundreds of species of Aloe. I'm enamored of one called A. florentiniorum.
I've literally up-potted thousands. I do love the fully grown aloes some with gorgeous yellow flowers.
27 plants out of one pot !!!!!
That's just amazing 😍
Aloes are great. They grow in abundance.
Great video
Wow, nice looking plants! A lot of babies too! 💜🌱
Very helpful info. I just deconstructed a large planter with a variety of succulents and a huge aloe which I’ve had for many years. Thank you. Can’t wait to get started.
Ahhhh my coffee with Laura start to Friday !! Thank you for all the information on re potting as sometimes I am unsure how to take a plant apart and it can be a bit scary to break a plant up. I just had a thought though, it would be fun to get a large aloe like that and keep it over the school year and then when children leave we can separate the plant ant give them a baby plant to take as a memory of their time with us!!! Thanks Laura!
I just tried to like this again. I've watched this several times now - it's so helpful. Thank you! :)
Perfect timing to encourage me to finally divide the aloes in my pots in the window. They've had quite a few "pups" and I need to divide them. Thanks.
your gold tooth aloe Is very pretty and unique I really like It
What a gorgeous aloe, and what a great deal you got from your purchase. I'm still learning how to care for succulents and having a lot of fun in the learning process. Thank you Laura for the tips, and now I want to find me a plant like that, see you in your next video, bye for now.
I too have an aloe. That has gotten really big but it has its first bloom on it so I’ll wait till that dies and then reply. Thanks for sharing this timely video.
My friend just got an also from her brother in law. It needs to be repotted. Thanks for posting this, we will use all the wonderful instructions to do so. See you in the next one.
I just bought one of these beauties. The mama had 23 pups. You just helped me immensely. Thank you for your videos. You’re very clear and I can understand and hear everything 💗
I always watch your videos about succulents. I learn so much from you! Thank you!
You explained everything clearly, thank you.
Thank you Laura for the library of knowledge I can call upon when needed. A christmas sleigh aloe I gave my son 3 yrs ago is just beautiful and I want to sneak a baby from the mom. Hate to disturb it but keep telling myself I must be brave to snap a baby off mama.
Thank you for this video. Especially going over what to do for the pups that don’t have roots established on them yet!
Another item for my Spring Break to-do list. I have 2 pots outside waiting to be divided. This video is a great confidence booster!
Thanks for sharing this very helpful information for dividing an aloe plant.
Thanks for your help today
SO FUN!!! Looks amazing, Laura. 💚💚
I’m getting ready to separate some Aloe so this is perfect timing. Thank you very much👍🏻
What a beautiful aloe!
I could almost hear them crying mommy, mommy! Until they got dirt and quiet down. I love how the small ones look. Thanks Laura.
You make it all look so easy! Thanks much
Thanks for this inspiration! I found one this weekend and separated and repotted, ending up with 25!!! And still left some on the mother! Mine cost just $18, so I'm thrilled. Mine wasn't in this good of shape, some of the pups are very swoopy, but they look cool in their own way too!
Thank you showing this process.
Oh just did this yesterday.separating my aloe and using the mother o e for my succulent arrangement in a shallow dish.i transplanted the baby one as you did .
Wow, that is great. I need to get more pots! I have one plant that looks like that but not as healthy 😒. It's in a glass pot, and needs new soil!
Laura, thank you for this video! I never have had problems growing Also until recently. So I'm going to follow your lead & keep my fingers crossed...lol!!!🌵🍀Happy St. Patrick's Day to you & the family!🍀🍀
Wow, thanks for sharing. I want to start having succulents around the house and seeing how you pulled apart it, was most helpful. Great video.
I've learn a lot from this video.
Thank you
Keep planting.
😘😘😘😘
Thank you for posting this. I have a lot of aloe and I was unsure of what my next was..... until now.
Always so helpful, watching your videos make me happy
Nice information I just bought my first succulents yesterday, eventually I will be putting them in separate pots!
I have a aloe Vera ariata and I just love it! I am keeping it under a plant light this winter and that is working fine..... I like aloe vera
Thanks again Laura 😊❤️
What a beautiful plant! Great way to create a lot of gifts! 😀🌱
Love your videos! So informative!
Yes this was so helpful! I got a bunch of rootbound succulents I need to divide. Thank you so much for this video
Perfect timing for me too! I just got three at Costco that need to be repotted! thanks for sharing as always!
Hi Laura! I just recently found your channel and absolutely love it!!! I was really hoping that could u please do a video on setting up a shade hanging basket?? Bcuz I have a balcony that gets about 4-5 hours of direct sun and I really want to have lovely hanging basket in the corner but I'm not sure which plants to use and how I should arrange them. Thanks in advance. I really hope u consider my suggestion
Thanks for the aloe tutorial! I’ve recently put together a gorgeous succulent planter thanks to YOU!
Extremely helpful.
I was going to water after repotting. Now I see that would have been bad. The main plant. Since it got plants broken off it. I assume the same 5 day wait before watering right? Just want to get it right. Thank you so much.
Great vid, I always get nervous with aloe but you always have a bunch of info about it
I was just getting ready to transplant an aloe as well! Great timing!
🌱🌵🌿 Awesome aloe plants. Great info! 🌷🦋🦜
So helpful! I'm admiring your beautiful pots hanging on be wall. Do you have a video on how you made those? I'm thinking about coping them and putting my strawberries in there.
Just got a Christmas carol aloe that was in clearance at lowes that was busting at the seems going to get it all separated thank you!
Perfect timing. Just two days ago I went out and bought probably five different types of aloe that I didn't know existed and one of them is completely pot-bound. No I've separated aloe vera before but I never had good luck with anything surviving. I noticed that you didn't put any kind of fertilizer or plant food in with the soil. So I'm assuming that just separating them and repotting them would be fine.
I love Aloe plants:) they are great for cuts and sunburns. Will you plant them in you garden? If so do you cover them from the snow? Tfs.
thank you for all your videos very helpful
This was helpful. Thank you!
I was so happy when my aloe had her first pup!
What a great idea! Thank you for this informative video.
Oh thanks so much for this video! I have a huge aloe i need to do this with
This was enjoyable to watch. Thank you. As always, helpful.
Do you ever use the rooting agent to help the succulents form roots?
Thank you so much for the information about separating an aloe plant. I have a very overgrown plant an I have this plant for prolly somewhere around 8 to 10 years and it's taking up my kitchen window.
I do have a question about weather affecting the aloe plant. I would like to keep the plant on my back porch which is enclosed but not heated, so can my plant survive out there?
Such a BRILLIANT video Laura
Always helpful Laura!! 😍
Love your videos so much and I love that update with so many videos every week 😊
Great videos! Always so helpful with my home garden!! I painted some terra Cotta pots when I first started and I was just wondering if terra Cotta pots work the same with the airrathion if they are painted?
Ughhh... i needed this one!!! I separated and aloe, but I watered it... I'll wait before doing it again, but should I pull them out of the soil 😭... I was a single mom the three stairstep girls in my twenties; that was easier and stress free compared to raising these succulents 😂
Hi Laura, you said hold off watering 5 - 7 days where's no roots. After that do you water and put where it gets morning light?
Totally Cool ! Thanks 💕
Wow you hit the mother load with that one Aloe. To get 27 plants in one pot us amazing. Thanks for showing your process. I have some super prolific Aloe and do rhe same. Do those Aloe bloom? Mine bloom and they are beautiful. Thanks for sharing😊👍❤.
Thanks for the demonstration! I bought a very dense golden toothed aloe myself a couple of weeks ago. Is it absolutely necessary to split it up right away? Can I wait for a few months or years before splitting? Considering how dense it is, do I need to repot it in a bigger planter?
Who knew!? Fantastic! BTW who won the grow light system...I missed reading about it. Thanks!😊💚
Inspiring! They look so proud at the end in their new pots 💚 I need to do this with a lot of my old aloe plants 😊💚 So many babies, so many possibilities!
Thank you so much I've got a plant like this so now I know how to seperate them!
I have a question for you??? When is a good time to plant peach seeds? We had a beautiful peach tree in the Bay Area, but not sure for Magalia, California. We don’t have any nurseries around us since the fire. I hope you can help. Ty.
i have one of those with a million babies ...tomorrows job 💚
😇💜 Hi Laura, I didn't know this, about succulents, and so now I do.😊💜 Thank YOU for sharing.😊💚🌵💮
Have a great weekend.
God Bless you and your BEAUTIFUL family 😊💜
LUV JOY 😊 💜🌵💮💚👒
Hi Laura QUESTION: With the tine babies without root, do you wait approx a month to water them after planting or do you water them the same as the other babies five to seven days? Thank you so very much!!
Super helpful thanks!
Thank for sharing very interesting 👌🌵
Did I miss it? Where did you get that big terra cotta pot?
So the best to transplant are terra cotta pots?
nice to see some body enjoy with his work good luk
Does this plant still have aloe gel if you were to snip a leaf or is it more decorative? I was able to snag one of these from Trader Joes with 10 pups and a large plant for $9 so I'm pretty excited!
I planted this and a red aloe in my tree circle. The hosta wasn't growing good, so I moved it. Are creeping aloes good to winter over in zones 7A? 🍀🌿🌾🐀🐾
Thanks for the helpful information.
Wow, that's amazing ! Thank you!
I love that "gold tooth" aloe. Is that what you called it? lol. I love how cute and petite looking it is along with the amazing color! They are just too adorable not to go buy now.😀 Thanks laura, I've been searching for a different aloe and this is the winner so far! 😁Thanks
Great video. Thank you
Thank you for sharing that great information.
Recently (one day ago) bought an aloe and it had several of those white ones how do you plant them? Just the same you would the others?
I have an aloe vera that has gone through some hard times, its doing great now but it does have a severe bend in its stalk from bad times is there anyway to help this? I am worried that as it keeps getting larger on top it will break, can they be propagated or started over?
Do you often take out the pups just to let the rosette grow larger?
I separated them last week! I hope I didn't mess up 😭
Thank you a lot..
