- The Game of Thrones Prequel House of the Dragon has everyone excited! The 1st teaser trailer came out and gave us alot of information on scenes that we will see in Season 1 of House of the Dragon. This would be so great if they kill King Viserys in at least S2 in like E2 or E3.And also i have been looking into some spy photos and i don't see Daeron the daring and Joffrey Valeryon 🤔
We only see Luke and Jace and why is that?... I mean Daeron is my favorite character on the Greens and there are lot of theories that suggest that he maybe be cut ✂✂ but am still hoping that he will be in the story just like in the books.

The character of Lord Jason Lannister will be played by Jefferson Hall who also played the role of the unlucky Ser Hugh of the Vale in GoT.
I want two seasons building up before the coronation of aegon, not one. So much happens before that turning point it think trying to do that in one season would be a mistake

I JUST noticed...The tourney shots of Alicent & Rhaenyra from behind as well as the shot of Daemon fighting wack ass Cole are at the same castle or location. If you look at the grey walls you can see the same patterns of the brick with like a diamond/triangle design on the walls..... 😯🤘🏻
There was a leak of a horse with a Golden Targaryen sigil, which is Aegon’s sigil. There’s no mentions of him using this sigil prior to his coronation in the books, so that could be evidence that we will see his coronation this season. I think if we saw his coronation in the finale of season 1, and then Rhaenyra’s coronation in the premier of season 2, that would work really well. But I don’t know anything about writing so who knows
it's not necessarily golden, it's made of gold. Happened on Game of Thrones all the time. Like, a Lannister lion made of steel doesn't look gold.
If they don't edit their coronations to make it look like it's happening at the same time they're doing themselves a massive disservice.

@@djanthaz what about them? They didn’t exist at the time House of the Dragon takes place. And their sigil isn’t gold. It’s a black dragon on red. Inverted Targaryen sigil
FYI - It's possible that the shot won't appear til later, if at all. I remember in the Dexter intro there was always the scenes of Dexter cutting the orange and the walk outside his apartment on the balcony where he turns his head, however they didn't actually happen til one of the later seasons. And GOT relentlessly used scenes in teasers & trailers that never appeared in the actual show.
That guy who plays Jason Lannister will also play the twin.

Hopefully we can see Westeroes best King ever King Jaehaerys1 at least in flash backs because a lot of the the things that caused the Dance of Dragons happened when he was alive especially the council meeting of 101ad when King Viserys was chosen to be King over Princess Rhaenys Targaryen.

I actually think it's a cool idea doing a split timeline as long as it's done right. The show "The Haunting of Hill House" also comes to mind when I think of a show that jumps back and forth between 2 different timelines that tells a great story. Something to consider is making sure the costuming, the actors, even the cuts and transitions show the distinct time differences well. I think that's a big difference between those shows or movies that do different timeless well versus those that execute it poorly by confusing most the audience as to what is happening in which time period. But if done right it could be a great way to tell the story effectively.

Can you please tell me what you mean by volume 1 of fire and blood? I am finding a lot of stuff even on youtube but it seems to be in chapters are the chapters the volumes? I'm confused. is there two books or just one? It says it starts with the story of Aegon the Conqueror and that is long before the story of this series. I am very very confused. Once Upon A Time did past to present jumps really well
I remember the Lannister actor from Vikings, he went yolo on the Saxons with one hand and a shield. In GoT I think he was that Vale Knight that died in the Hand Tournament, Jon Arryn's squire I think.

I made a similar comment when I heard the "dreams didn't make us kings..." line. They wouldn't be anything at all without dreams and he should know their history!
I guess what he meant is that the dreams helped them to escape the doom but it were the dragons that made them Kings of westeros.

I think its gonna be flash backs going. Back and forth to give each characters back story. Season one ends on Aegons coronation and then both parties sitting at their own councils plotting
Nice review house of the dragon at the start there were 200 dragons down to 17 dragons in this new series. Dragon pit will be different as well

Twoiaf mentioned Vlarirya slapping 300 dragons on the Rhoynar army coz they got mad for losing one or two. And it sounds like its significant part of their number. But otherwise no mention of hundreds of dragons anywhere. Except that Dotharki moon go boom a thousand dragon appear legend.
I really hope they do the two separate timelines with flashbacks. It’s honestly one of my favorite storytelling formats. Idk what D and D were smoking. There’s all kinds of great shows that use that technique. Lost is the first that comes to mind. That shit was awesome too
They really just got lazy if you ask me, GOT could still be going on today we'd be like at season 11 or something like that, they just thought they could make a better show
Once Upon a Time also did a good job with that format. If they use the older time line to explain what’s going on in the current time line it could be pretty effective.
Highlander was the first in my memory. All 6 seasons, every episode had a flashback story being told.
I adore flashbacks. Too many can be annoying if the story being told is boring, but as long as it's good then it works.
Shows like Highlander and Lost had to deliver 20+ episodes a year so it's no surprise many flashback stories were filler throwaway material, but HotD won't suffer from filler episodes.
D&D...sheesh...Hold the Door and the Tower of Joy are a couple of my favorite scenes and both are flashbacks. They should have added a lot more.
This is us.. they also did it well. Not necessarily flashbacks but 2 or 3 different time periods with all the same main characters
I really hope they cover all the infamous moments of Targaryen history throughout the series. Ie.. 1st 2 seasons "the Dance", next 2 "the conquest"... Blackfyre Rebellions... Dunk and Egg... That could be the next decade of GoT

Legit question because I'm doubting all my memory: Why are some members of house velaryons black as the night. I just... can't recall them being black. I'm thumbing through all my books and I can't find a skin color description, did I forget this detail about their looks? Does anyone know where this is mentioned ;-;

Another great video. I don't know how they're going to do this. Unless they do a variation on the D&D style of storytelling. What if they plan on doing at least half of the things you brought up but basically plan to use two seasons to tell on major story. And having the king die in the 17th or 18th episode of the second season? I think that would be epic and would allow them to put at least half of what you said and make it as satisfying if not more so story watching experience than the final two seasons of GOT.
I doubt if they will do anything like what I said, but hey, I can dream, can't I? Either way I'm so looking forward to this show. I'm so bummed that GOT came to an end (especially the WAY it came to an end...ugh) and I'm down and out because we ain't got no mo books yet. So this show will be a real good fix for all of us. And if they just keep that same level of quality a the first 6 seasons of GOT then I think we'll have a real good show on our hands.

@@deannaweaver6754 no of course not. Unfortunately a higher number of episodes isn't the current trend with a lot of streaming platforms. That's a shame, too, because an epic story like GOT would greatly benefit from a longer format.
@@cassiuscoleman4624 The whole season is filmed at the same time, so they physically and logistically cannot make any more than 10 episodes a season. 20 episodes would be impossible and way too expensive.

There's absolutely no way they can get to Viserys's death in one season. Based on the leaks my guess is that the deaths of Laenor and Laena is going to be the climax of season 1, and the second season builds towards the civil war.

The set leaks show the older strong boys with Rhaenys so it looks like we will be seeing Viserys dying and Aegon's coronation at the end of season 1.

The buildup needs two seasons let’s be real. There are enough plot points to easily cover two seasons. One season spanning 15 years is still pretty “abrasive” to use your words
