@osman chy it wasn't erased by anyone. this is how bengali originated. bengali is one of the most sanskritised languages. dont put religion here. a bengali speaking muslim uses more sanskrit words than a hindi speaking hindu.
@osman chy wtf is 'forced sanskritization'? Bangla is an Indic language, it literally originates from Sanskrit, so of course majority of it's vocabulary comes from Sanskrit. It's the same case for Maithili, Hindi, Odia, Punjabi, etc. Yes, Kannada, Malayalam and Telegu underwent sanskritisation, not Bengali. Tell me if you remove the Sanskrit words from Bangla, where tf is the vocabulary??
@osman chy When was Bangladesh born? 1971. How old is Bengal? Goes back to the Vedic Era. So on what basis do you say that the people of West Bengal are from Bangladesh? Yes, many of us may have lived in what is now Bangladesh before partition. We are from Bengal, not Bangladesh. They are two different things.
@osman chy @osman chy Persian words have entered most of North Indic languages because of islam. Lol, it's not "original bengali" Original Bengali has no Persian words, absolutely none, they are all lone words. Bangla emerged as a new Indo-Aryan language by 900-1000 AD. And Persian came to India only in the 13th century. Bangla is the most Sanskritised Indian language if you exclude languages from the Dravidian language family. When we look at the earliest works in Bangla, we find it heavily Sanskritised, Persian words only entered Bangla once Bengal was under the muslim invaders in the 14th century. All the words you mentioned have their original Sanskrit versions, but its no more used, this is the same story with Hindi. So dont say "original Bangla" has Persian words and Sanskrit was forced on it. hahaha, you will be both historically and linguistically wrong.
@osman chy lmfao. you literally said " West bengalis are not even a thing. Every bengali speaker ( of 65% of west bengal population) in west bengal except for ghotis are originally from Bangladesh" do you know what do you mean by that??

Because Bengali in India is only a state language but Bengali in Bangladesh is an official and national language. And Bengali is the only language for which people sacrificed their lives during 21 February 1952. And all were East Pakistani/Bangladeshi, not any Indian. Most of the time Bangladeshi Bengalis represent Bengali culture and tradition by their festivals, occasions, sports etc. Bangladeshi Bengali population is almost double than West Bengal. @Hamza rehman It's Magadhi Prakrit (মাগধী), not Mogadhi. And Magadhi Prakrit didn't fall from the sky, it was an indo Aryan language which means ultimately derived from some dialect of Sanskrit. By that token Bengali is also a descendant of Sanskrit. And that thing about Hindi having more Sanskrit words is just false. I speak both languages fluently and I've found Hindi is way more persianiased than Bengali. While it's a difficult and almost academic excercise to have a five minute conversation in Hindi without using any Persian or Arabic words because it has been absorbed in the basic vocabulary, in Bengali it's a trivial task we do everyday. For instance lekin (but) from Arabic, agar (if), magar (but), lehaza (therefore) from Persian. All these words in Bengali are of Indic origin. In that order: kintu, jodi, tobe, atoeb/sutorang; these aren't esoteric words only found in academic Bengali, this is the Bengali we use to speak to our parent and siblings every single day. Academic Bengali gets even more Sanskritic. That is not to say Bengali hasn't absorbed perso-arabic vocabulary, it has but nowhere near the same level as Hindi.
@Hamza rehman Every single one of these words is used in Hindi, and most of them more frequently than in Bengali. If you spoke Hindi at a native level like I do you'd know this already. What's your point? And why don't you compare dobhashi to Urdu? Then see which one has more perso-arabic influence. That would make sense since they're both Muslim centric versions of Bengali and Hindustani languages.
@Hamza rehman I know there's a lot of perso-arabic vocabulary in Bengali, specially in areas related to business and statecraft. But you seem to have forgotten about the point of the argument how much loaned vocab it has IN COMPARISON TO HINDI. In both languages there are dialectical differences and hence for any sort of comparison you'll have to pick a dialect. I picked the standard dialects of both languages as they appear in news media and print media. In case of Bengali the language in the news both in India and Bangladesh is identical to the language I learnt to speak from birth and that is just so much more Sanskritic compared what comes on Hindi news, it's like a stupid thing to even argue. I've actually had to read Sanskrit for religious purposes and noticed Bengalis in general understand it better than native Hindi speakers.
@Hamza rehman Yes dude, I'm not saying your local dialects are less persianiased than shudh Hindi. They're probably not. I'm comparing the STANDARD dialects, where standard is defined as language in the news. You may choose to define standard another way. Maybe I should have said the "news media" dialect? 😅
@Abadi Moha Maybe he found this language interesting. And also he didn't tell that Hindi is bad or inferior to Bengali. It’s all about personal choice and taste, nothing else.

People saying accent are different- well of course they are. Even in the same country or state, the accent and dialect changes between regions/districts. UK has different accents and dialects in differents states and cities and regions. The USA has different accents in different states. West Bengal will have different accents in different regions, like it will be in different regions of Bangladesh. R8 bro...we are the real Bengalis...
Bengali is closer to Sanskrit than Hindi. It's clearly visible.
Every bengali speaker ( of 65% of west bengal population) in
west bengal except for ghotis are originally from Bangladesh" do you know what do you mean by that??

I see different accents and dialects of Bangla as a richness and beauty of Bangla. But of course If someone has very awkward/weird accent that is spoken in nowhere in any part of the two Bengals then I would definitely consider his/her accent to be improper and horrible.

Why you are presented Bengali as a language of Bangladesh ??
Bengali language is the main language some part of India 🇮🇳 and total Bangladesh 🇧🇩 .
But,,, Bengali of India is a state language. And Bengali in Bangladesh is national language.
So it is very much normal to show Bengali as Bangladeshi language.

Exactly. The comments from them are so annoying
Love from Bangladesh 🇧🇩 love 💕
thanks for this video. I wanted this
Ofcourse bengali is offshoot language from Sanskrit family.
Bengali is fine
Please tell me why you think so. I'm a native Bengali speaker.

Similarly hindi speaking states in India will also have different accents and dialects.
