Excellent narration. The pace of reading and diction conveys Dahl's writing in his stories: deliberate and deeply revealing. I just finished the second story which rattled me from experiencing the agony of the wife who endures the emotionally controlling husband. A true depiction of sadistic gaslighting.
I love Dahl stories and anything with a twist in the tale. I had read this “Mrs Bixbey and the coat” decades ago but couldn’t recall what the twist was until nearly the end. But “the leg of lamb” is my favourite short story ever.
It s so interesting. I have never heard the story before, yet I had a feeling that the dentist will give the coat to his lover once he refused to gave the ticket back to his wife.
The sound machine was interesting. Previous ones' though were lacking. 1970's exsperiments, proving' plants can tell when others are attacked. & reconized who attacked it.
Your voice is darling, it's just perfect for this kind of content. Thank you, I'll have absolutely terrible dreams tonight 😂❤ Edit: oh my goodness I screamed at the ending of the first story! I dont support adultery at all, but in that situation I would've done terrible things to the woman wearing my (mink!) coat! Or possibly killed my husband (not literally) for not letting me claim my own prize
I remember watching 'Tales of the Unexpected' on TV when I was growing up. The theme music and the silhouette of a woman dancing was iconic. Thankyou for the stories.

Unfortunately, I don't know. Usually when the narrator is famous, he is listed in the audiobook. In this case, he is not listed. In my audiobook library, only the authors are listed.
Thank you for reading this, your voice is pleasing and professional. I am disappointed that another reader seems to have created a monopoly around reading R. Dahl's books. I find his voice quite unpleasant, a cadence I cannot enjoy. ni modo Hope you might read more of this author's books.
I'm glad you enjoyed it. But I'm not a narrator. I have a lot of audiobooks that I use to learn English. From them I make videos with or without text, sometimes with lessons and lists of words to learn.
I wrote "to learn", which means to learn. I am learning English, and on my channel I have collected material for this purpose. But I don't mind if users can use these audiobooks for themselves.
@@Lish_English For people who are in the process of learning English, I know there are RUclips videos that features scenes from television shows like "Friends" to help with grasping vocabulary and slang. English is supposed to be one of the most challenging languages to learn, along with Mandarin Chinese. I take it for granted because it's all I've known, and I admire people who are learning it because it has to be a challenging task, but gaining a good grasp on it must be very rewarding. I believe this was an old TV series...?
I've seen a few old movies on youtube based on these stories.
Who is the narrator reading these stories?

Where is the time marker index for the different stories? This is stupid. Bye!
Time markers are in the description.
