The whole thing is based on a misreading of Strong's Hebrew Lexicon of the Bible (entry 5377 for נָשָׁא / Nāšā'), which is indeed used several times in the bible with the meaning 'to deceive', but obviously the misunderstanding is with the pronunciation, as the people who share the old photo of the page in the Lexicon don't read Biblical Hebrew or know how to read the transliterations in the lexicon. The transliteration given by Strong is Nāšā', but the people sharing it ignore (or are unaware) that the diacritic on top of the š is used to transliterate the שׁ‎ / 'sh' (like 'shop', rather than the 's' in 'soup') sound.

Okay, I am a Hebrew speaker and live in Israel. I have heard the argument that "NASA means to deceive in Hebrew" a few times and have no idea where that argument came from.
The term "Nasa" (with the "sa" stressed, as most bisyllabic Hebrew words stress the second syllable) has a few meanings:
    1. Nasa (נסע), means drove. Words with the root נ-ס-ע have to do with driving.
    2. Nasa (נשא), means carried. Words with the root נ-ש-א have to do with carrying or pulling around.
    3. Nisa (ניסה), means to try or to test. Words with the root נ-ס-ה have to do with trying.
All in all, I know of no Hebrew word that even resembles "NASA" That has any meaning even close to deception. If there exists one, it's probably archaic and long out of use in the common vernacular.
The word most commonly used for deception in Hebrew is "Hat'aya" (הטעיה), eith the root ט-ע-ה, which is used for words that have to do with (big surprise) mistakes.

I live near Lake Ontario and have observed the Toronto skyline with binoculars. So here’s a globe proof. Take a picture at lake level then go to the top of the Niagara Escarpment and take another one. The escarpment is a 200ft cliff a few kilometers inland from the lakeshore.
You can see more of the shorter buildings from up there including the Rogers centre. On a cold clear winters day with very little refraction you can’t see the Rogers center from lake level but can from the escarpment even though you’re a little farther away.
I’ve been following this flat earth stuff for a decade now and to make sure I’m intellectually honest I try and confirm the globe whenever I can. This is one of the ways I’ve done this. I’ve also observed ships at see disappearing from the bottom up.
I’ve also done lunar observations with a telescope. If the moon is just a luminary that shines with its own light how come the craters have shadows? How come those shadows are always on the side of the crater away from the Sun?

Being the sometimes learning resistant guy that I am I'm basically doing similar experiments with coffee or coke and my laptop all the time when watching flerf content ... :o
Key lessons learned by this, and due to other "experiment":
    * water is much less of a good electric conductor than most people seem to think
    * electronic boards with their typical green (or nowadays also often green or red) varnish are especially indifferent to water
    * the part most sensible to spillage in a laptop is usually the keyboard, and it is not the fluid itself that is the problem but sugar that crystallizes when the fluid evaporates and so makes keys stuck
    * the front plates of devices in an electronics rack are usually made in a way that does not let significant amounts of water thorugh
I especially wonder how much of the electrics and electronics of LEOs tower crane are actually more or less exposed to the environment. I'd bet that the risk of having water flying around in the environment (though with a down-go-boom-boom bias) is much more frequent for a tower crane on a construction site than how often astronauts on the ISS play with water.
Also as water droplets in micro gravity float with quasi constant velocity and do not accelerate they are easier to catch with a towel while still in motion, and even when hitting a surface the fluid will rather stick to that surface in a somewhat spherical shape and will not spread out into a puddle or pressed through small openings by its own weight ...
All that said this specific experiment did not seem to be the most clever after all, and I bet that quite a few red stains had to be removed from equipment after this indeed, seeing how fluid was flowing away in all directions when the bubble burst ...

It is a parabola, not a circle or sphere.
The correct formula, which is completely accurate for any distance and point on a sphere is: x^2 + y^2 + z^2 = r^2, or else you can give it in spherical or cylindrical co-ordinates, so wrong again.

12:30 when it comes to "you need R for that" I usually point flerfs to the pyAlamanc python package that generates pretty good nautical almanac pages for arbitrary date inputs on the fly, and ask them to find and change the R value in the source code and check whether it still produces correct output, or to review the source code in general as it is an open source package. Feedback so far: crickets and tumble weed.
In the case of the Metabunk curve calculator the source code of the curve calculator would even just be a CTRL-U key press away as the calculations are done in the users browsers by javascript code in the calculator web page itself.
And what do we see in there?
var drop = r-Math.sqrt(r*r-d*d); // drop perpendicular to horzontal
var drop_q = Math.sqrt(r*r+d*d)-r; // drop perpendicular to the surface tangent
With r being 3959 miles, and d being the distance given in the form input.
// For the radius of the Earth, I use 3959, the mean (average) radius of 3959 miles
// It ranges from 3947 to 3968, depending on where it is measured
    // around the equator it's 3963, around the poles it's 3949
So as Jake needed to do manual inputs and compare the results to "eight inches per mile squared" he must have been incapable of reading the page source ... which comes to no surprise to me ;)

3:55 Thing with ignorance is that it never occurs to the ignorant that other people might be smart enough to have already thought of these things. Let’s say for arguments sake that the fluid could get into all of these expensive electronics that are being used in space. Maybe it occurred to the people who built items that you can’t pop down to Curry’s/PC World to replace, that it’s probably a good idea to ensure the things they’re using are built with things like waterproofing and other protections against damage.
Like flat earthers seem to know, it’s not like NASA can’t afford to pay for custom made computers, rather than just picking a standard one up from the shop. And maybe they do get damaged? It’s not like he’s trying to find a way to set fire to the whole thing.
Regardless of whether I’m right or wrong about the computers, my point is that ignorance is to assume that people in their profession don’t know what they’re doing, rather than think about all of the things that people who aren’t ignorant take into consideration when coming up with things.
