I'm 30 going on 31 this January.. so I remember all things 90's like VHS and Pokémon I like alot. I remember Pokémon Stadium for N64. I rented Sonic The Hegehog at Blockbuster back in the day.. so yeah I remember Quake.
My thoughts: Quake: I never played Quake, I have heard about it through speedrunniny, but that is about it. Seems like a neat thing to come back. Action Arcade Wrestling: I actually thought this look good, but then I remembered, "I suck at wrestling games" so I'm taking a pass. Pokémon BD/SP Switch: While yes, we have already heard about it. It still looks amazing. Also, question for everyone whi sees this: Which Pokémon game are you getting Brilliant Diamond, Shining Pearl or Both? For me, I'm getting Brilliant Diamond.
I doubt it, it's the 2ds of the switch family and it didn't fold, it didn't have that thing that made it a ds let alone a 3ds. It's just the cheap model that serves it's purpose
If Nintendo listened to their customers and did the light in the old school transparent colors, I think they would make more money. I have so many friends who has switches that modified their switches to transparent colors esp in the atomic purple color

I didnt think id ever be a pc gamer either, but one day I played skyrim on mouse and keyboard at a friend's house and I was hooked. since then I've built my own pc and I currently love playing destiny 2 on pc and really any first person game is SO much more fun with mouse and keyboard.

I remember playing Quake on the 64 and I loved it! It took me quite a few times trying to get father in to the game & I finally beat the game. I really never got in to Doom though, even though Quake was like Doom but I never got in to it. Quake I was in to and it was fun & I enjoyed playing it a lot. I hope that they do make a remake of Quake and even though they don't, I would still buy it because I enjoyed playing it.
Quake 2 was the one that got me hooked for sure.. Rocket jumps, The Edge, Thresh winning the Red Annihilation Tournament and John Carmack's red Ferrari, John Romero seeing Quake 2 and scrapping the current build of Daikatana. GameSpy! Q2expertCTF! Tracks #6 & #8! Ahh, love Quake 2.
My secondary switch is a lite and i love it and i just cant go back to my original switch when it comes to playing handheld. Im not surprised though about the lite not selling as much because i see its appeal is more of as a secondary switch for current owners. If it's your first time buying a switch, sure the lite is cheaper, but losing what essentially makes the switch a switch (hybrid function) is not usually worth saving some money on. Even if you would see yourself playing in handheld for the most part, it would still be recommendable for new owners to go for the OG switch or even the OLED one.
Same, I grabbed one new and unused for £100. It's a console I didn't know I needed, so much more game time now. They need to let people know that you can copy across your entire digital library and save data easily - you have to get that info from forums, it's like Nintendo want to keep it secret or something.
I would be strictly switch lite if the screen was OLed and bigger to where it filled out the boarders. LCD screen it has now is to small and hurts my eyes on long play sessions.
Well it's Friday in Australia and, not really that great Sydney is in lockdown for another month. But I've downloaded Quake and looking forward to play it like all the great classic FPS, I played as a kid in the 90's
I only have a switch lite and I’m really happy with it. I bought it because I just wanted a handheld console, if I wanna play on the TV, I have the PS4 🤷🏻♀️ works for me. I found that there are some games that I prefer to play on the big screen and some games I prefer playing on handheld.
Honestly, I personally loved the idea of the Nintendo Switch since day one. Because I am more of a on the go/handheld type gamer. It catered to me. That being said, I personally always thought the Switch Lite should have been Dock only. Cut the costs on losing the handheld. Sell a dock capable of playing the cartridges with a Pro controller, there's your bundle. Cater to the couch gamers. Make the handheld optional. That, would have absolutely been the most logical business move to have made in my eyes. Use your second chance with the "Switch Pro Lite" wisely Nintendo
You're unhappy with the artwork on the Switch Lite because it's the same as on the DS Lite from 13 years ago (to the day, August 17, 2008)? Would you rather they 'improve' it and mess it up? People would be complaining that they should have just used the artwork from the DS Lite as a fun callback.

They need to cut the price to 150 for switch lite. The 100 dollar difference when its priced at 100 isnt worth the sacrifice to most people who want the versatility of still being able to use it as a home console. Also you cant swap joycons so if you get drift you gotta ship the whole unit out. Wouldn’t be surprised if in the last year of the switch before either a revision or switch 2 we will see switch lites being sold firesale for like 100 bucks
I can't stress enough how much more comfortable switch lite is than the switch, portable mode obviously. The deal breaker is how inconvenient it is to manage save states between the two consoles. Having to manually check, download, upload, and sometimes direct transfer. Nintendo should really fix that.
I LOVED Quake, PC of course. So much time spent in Q1, Q2, Q3 and Unreal Tournament. Still occasionally play them on modern source ports. A remaster with ray tracing would be awesome! BTW, Trent Reznor also did the voice (mostly grunts) of the ranger (i.e. the guy you plasy as) and I think had a hand in designing some of the levels. The ammo boxes for the nail gun have the NIN logo.
I've played the console versions of the Quake series (Quake, Quake II both on N64, Quake IV on XBox 360 and Enemy Territory on XBox 360). Looking forward to the new Quake. And yes RGT, I agree. AAW is super fun. I'll be getting it on Switch as well.
I love the look of the Switch Lite. I already have the OG switch but if they came out with a switch light looking model that could connect the tv I would go out and buy it.
Quake 3 Arena was amazing for its time. I’d like to see it remastered, possibly a few new dlcs brought to the Switch. Maybe even enable online cross platform play for the Switch, Xbox, PlayStation and PC.
Nintendo Switch Light NEEDS a sold separately television dock. The entire idea is that the Light is a cheep version of the Switch. All we need now is the dock to have ALL the functions of the normal Switch.. For those who want to upgrade without tossing away the old game system which already cost you $199.
The Quakecon is primarily a LAN party where, among other things, new titles are presented or updates to existing ones. The Quakecon is not a show in the sense of the whole thing around E3 etc. but rather a Lan party like the Dreamhack just not as big as this one
use the lender that your realtor suggests. It was a game changer for us. Pretty much use every person your realtor suggests. They are most likely all connected through networking and will pull together to make it happen for you. just sayin! happy house hunting! edit: Also you won't have to pay the max bid on the house. You just need to outbid the next person. Homes cannot be sold for more than their appraisal. If you like things you see in the persons house (classic game collection or something) be sure to let your relator know. They might pass the message back to the seller and you could make a connection with them based on interests.
Played the new Quake version today! It was really nice! The only issue I had was the brightness, and the fact that you can't sprint backwards. Also the color palette breaks on the loading screen, but that's just because I have a potato. It's a remaster confirmed. Definitely pick it up!
I like my Lite, but I use my V2 more. In California for work and use my Switch docked for hulu and games. However, I do love how the Lite feels when playing on it.
As a Realtor, we're seeing multiple offers on pretty much everything. In my area, homes are selling by the end of their first weekend on the market for well over list price, unless they're just grossly over priced to start with. Don't fret, I doubt you're being lied to.
The Nintendo Switch Lite came late, but I believe once you play on it you will love it. Super portable and lightweight. Sure you remove features but most of those are not usable. Now if you like playing on handheld switch lite would be a good fit for you. In my case I have a Yellow Switch Lite and I love it more than the original

Most people have switches as a secondary system or just a general portable gamer. I honestly think the switch lite would've sold way better if it came with Bluetooth compatibility out of the box and could also be used as a controller for the flagship switch for when you take it to a friend's house or play on the TV with your main switch
In my personal opinion when the whole DS family came out I was never really interested, but recently I grabbed a new Nintendo 2DS and oh boy what a great portable device. Now I find myself looking for special editions to collect. For a lot of people it's going to be the same with the NS lite. It's about portability and having the same switch level experience. It's pretty popular specially for toddlers and young teens.Just as the atomic purple Gameboy color was popular for us in the 90s
I am about to convince myself to buy a lite but only because it would be easier to carry to work and I won’t have to worry about losing my saves from my games that don’t transfer if an accident happens. I do wish they added more options to let the lite and regular riff odd each other so you could reasonably switch between each

$100 discount wasn't enough to make up for not being able to hook it up to your TV and the smaller screen. This is another reason for the OLED which is just a stealthy pricehike for the Switch and make $350 the new price. with the difference now being $150 it will probably make some people get the lite instead who wouldnt have before.
I was surprised it wasn't a Pokemon themed Switch OLED. I love my blue Switch Lite tho, so I'll probably pick this one up. Missed out on the first Pokemon edition Lite for Sword and Shield.
You don't have to feel bad about how you pronounce Arceus, it's very confusing as different official sources will pronounce it either way. In the Detective Pikachu movie it was pronounced as you previously said it, whereas it was pronounced differently in the Pokémon Presents, it's very confusing.
I wouldn't change my decision on my lite, got it feb 2020. I even play hours of Fortnite on it when I'm sick of sitting at the computer or I'm at a friend's place. Like everything with me I'll sit it down for a few weeks and I'm always pleasantly surprised when I pick it back up again. The battery could be a little better, they'd have a real success on their hands if they get rid of the bezels on these things and let it dock then again I understood their juggle with the affordability. It's just strange to me looking back at all the iterations of the psp/vita and what it could do.

Game is nice. 4 play couch coop split screen, deathmatch (with bots included) as well as online multiplayer with switch online. its well worth it, an amazing port, and really all it is missing is some of the silly mods that you could play in online multiplayer on pc back in the day and maybe team deathmatch though you can still pull it off by changing colors
I get what v the purpose of the switch lite is.. however.. what if they put a Bluetooth connection for wireless controller and a mini doc much like aftermarket ones for screen play. It gives them more to sell, it'll bring new sells in general for the lite.
I borrowed a Switch Lite for about a week and a half and it’s a solid system. I played BoTW the majority of the time and had minor frame dips when fighting off tons of enemies at ones and using bomb arrows in the fight. But those dips are really minor and don’t occur often. I also tried Doom 3, a Zombie Army game, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit remastered and No More Heroes, which all ran great. The battery is really good for it being a small console. I don’t own a switch of my own, so I’m kind of thinking on getting this one.
It's a great system really. It's more of a PS360+ with some current/last-gen 3rd party games as a Bonus (like Doom 2016/Eternal, Witcher 3 etc.). Besides 1st party of course.
I think my all time favorite FPS has to be Unreal Tournament '99... if THAT ever lands on switch that's a day one buy from me. Quake I did enjoy quite a lot, though. So sure yeah sign me up for the Switch remaster of it!
My issue with purchasing a Switch Lite is the price. I planned on gifting a Switch Lite for my younger brother who asked for one for his birthday. He specifically said he wanted a Switch and if it cost too much he would like the Switch Lite. I didn’t wanna pay $300, but why pay $200 and not be able to connect it to the TV? I said screw it and bought the regular switch, when paying for a mobile gaming systems $150 is the most I am willing to pay.
I’m wonder does anyone still use the Switch light? I love the price point of it mainly because the system has been out for a while now and I feel it’s a good way too check out the games on the cheap but not playing it on my tv in my home seems like a huge take away. Do any adults use a handheld these days at home rather than a console?
I bought the Z&Z switch lite over the others because it was the only one without white buttons. Those buttons are begging to yellow over time. This new Pokémon switch lite has what I'd like to call aesthetic durability. Black buttons don't yellow.
If the switch is on the list then its a remaster or direct port of the quake games. I am fine with that because Quake 2 is one of my favorite games of all time and if its coming to the switch...well its a day 1 purchase.

Be proud of Saturn quake. It was an astoundingly capable port. I couldn’t get enough of it

Had Quake on the Saturn also, and Q2 on the N64. Had alot of fun on both, especially Q2 multiplayer.

As a Realtor, we're seeing multiple offers on pretty much everything. In my area, homes are selling by the end of their first weekend on the market for well over list price, unless they're just grossly over priced to start with. Don't fret, I doubt you're being lied to.
The Nintendo Switch Lite came late, but I believe once you play on it you will love it. Super portable and lightweight. Sure you remove features but most of those are not usable. Now if you like playing on handheld switch lite would be a good fit for you. In my case I have a Yellow Switch Lite and I love it more than the original

Most people have switches as a secondary system or just a general portable gamer. I honestly think the switch lite would've sold way better if it came with Bluetooth compatibility out of the box and could also be used as a controller for the flagship switch for when you take it to a friend's house or play on the TV with your main switch

In my personal opinion when the whole DS family came out I was never really interested, but recently I grabbed a new Nintendo 2DS and oh boy what a great portable device. Now I find myself looking for special editions to collect. For a lot of people it's going to be the same with the NS lite. It's about portability and having the same switch level experience. It's pretty popular specially for toddlers and young teens.Just as the atomic purple Gameboy color was popular for us in the 90s
I am about to convince myself to buy a lite but only because it would be easier to carry to work and I won’t have to worry about losing my saves from my games that don’t transfer if an accident happens. I do wish they added more options to let the lite and regular riff odd each other so you could reasonably switch between each

The New Pokémon Switch Lite does look really neat.
$100 discount wasn't enough to make up for not being able to hook it up to your TV and the smaller screen. This is another reason for the OLED which is just a stealthy pricehike for the Switch and make $350 the new price. with the difference now being $150 it will probably make some people get the lite instead who wouldnt have before.
This is the second Switch Lite that is Pokémon themed. Only other variation compared to all the variations of the main Switch.
I was surprised it wasn't a Pokemon themed Switch OLED. I love my blue Switch Lite tho, so I'll probably pick this one up. Missed out on the first Pokemon edition Lite for Sword and Shield.

You don't have to feel bad about how you pronounce Arceus, it's very confusing as different official sources will pronounce it either way. In the Detective Pikachu movie it was pronounced as you previously said it, whereas it was pronounced differently in the Pokémon Presents, it's very confusing.

Only played the very first quake when it came out on windows. I played it every day. I hope it's that version of the game.
I wouldn't change my decision on my lite, got it feb 2020. I even play hours of Fortnite on it when I'm sick of sitting at the computer or I'm at a friend's place. Like everything with me I'll sit it down for a few weeks and I'm always pleasantly surprised when I pick it back up again. The battery could be a little better, they'd have a real success on their hands if they get rid of the bezels on these things and let it dock then again I understood their juggle with the affordability. It's just strange to me looking back at all the iterations of the psp/vita and what it could do.

Game is nice. 4 play couch coop split screen, deathmatch (with bots included) as well as online multiplayer with switch online. its well worth it, an amazing port, and really all it is missing is some of the silly mods that you could play in online multiplayer on pc back in the day and maybe team deathmatch though you can still pull it off by changing colors

The Switch Lite was a bad idea. It doesn’t fit well in the pocket because of it’s protruding thumbsticks and overall size.
Two games very worthy of looking into if you play PC and like quake. ULTRAKILL, and DUSK.
I had Quake Arena on the Sega Dreamcast. It’s wonderful.
I get what v the purpose of the switch lite is.. however.. what if they put a Bluetooth connection for wireless controller and a mini doc much like aftermarket ones for screen play. It gives them more to sell, it'll bring new sells in general for the lite.
I borrowed a Switch Lite for about a week and a half and it’s a solid system. I played BoTW the majority of the time and had minor frame dips when fighting off tons of enemies at ones and using bomb arrows in the fight. But those dips are really minor and don’t occur often. I also tried Doom 3, a Zombie Army game, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit remastered and No More Heroes, which all ran great.
The battery is really good for it being a small console. I don’t own a switch of my own, so I’m kind of thinking on getting this one.
It's a great system really. It's more of a PS360+ with some current/last-gen 3rd party games as a Bonus (like Doom 2016/Eternal, Witcher 3 etc.). Besides 1st party of course.
I have a OG Switch though.
I think my all time favorite FPS has to be Unreal Tournament '99... if THAT ever lands on switch that's a day one buy from me. Quake I did enjoy quite a lot, though. So sure yeah sign me up for the Switch remaster of it!

My issue with purchasing a Switch Lite is the price. I planned on gifting a Switch Lite for my younger brother who asked for one for his birthday. He specifically said he wanted a Switch and if it cost too much he would like the Switch Lite. I didn’t wanna pay $300, but why pay $200 and not be able to connect it to the TV? I said screw it and bought the regular switch, when paying for a mobile gaming systems $150 is the most I am willing to pay.

I’m wonder does anyone still use the Switch light? I love the price point of it mainly because the system has been out for a while now and I feel it’s a good way too check out the games on the cheap but not playing it on my tv in my home seems like a huge take away.

I bought the Z&Z switch lite over the others because it was the only one without white buttons. Those buttons are begging to yellow over time. This new Pokémon switch lite has what I'd like to call aesthetic durability. Black buttons don't yellow.
Now, if they could remake Heretic, Hexen, Phantasmagoria, Who Shot Johnny Rock?, and Star Wars: Dark Forces, I'd be even happier!

Highly doubt it would be a remaster of a 20+ yr old game. Id be all for a reboot.
If the switch is on the list then its a remaster or direct port of the quake games. I am fine with that because Quake 2 is one of my favorite games of all time and if its coming to the switch...well its a day 1 purchase.
