You don't use the wire mesh basket for large pieces like chicken, those go directly on either the low or high rack. The mesh basket is for small items like french fries that would slip between the bars on the rack.

Hi folks. i'll tell you, me & my husband bought one of these babies bout a month ago. it was one one of the BEST things we invested in for our home. it works great & OMG! it cooks the food to taste sooooo great! it doesnt dry out meat as it cooks, it cooks fries perfect... i can keep going, We just want to tell anyone who are thinking of getting one of these... it's WELL WORTH the money!

I am a soooo glad I watched this video. Our halogen cooker just arrived and I didn't know that circular metal is an extender! I would have just used it as part of the stand. Thank you.
We've got our Big Boss more than 5 years ago at an outlet and we use it frequently. Love it. We notice that the price has gone down. Back then we paid $99. There is only one thing that we don't like about it and that is the timer. Once you set the timer, you can't adjust it by turning the knob counterclockwise. Make sure you set the right time. If you don't, stay with it to interrupt the cooking as needed. But ours is more than 5 years old. Maybe the newer models have been improved in that respect. By the way, we have an air frier which we do not use because it is cumbersome. There are other similar to the Big Boss but they are plastic. We prefer glass. Besides, we like to see what's going on with the food as it cooks. Happy frying!
It will cook up to a SIXTEEN pound turkey with the ring. Tried and true here, you WILL have to flip the bird halfway through I suggest putting the unit on the floor and sitting in a chair to flip the bird again I figured this out for you.
You should do a review on it! If you know this tip, I know you have more to share! I didn't think of this because I'm always thinking about conventional cooking in the oven to get the same healthy outcome.
Got this to replace the microwave and make good fries for the kids. Tomorrow is the first run and that chicken looks good, yo! Thanks for the tutorial!
Why do you have to turn the fries over? Isn't the whole point of convection cooking is the circulation and cooking evenly from all sides? And you obviously have an air gap all around the food. I don't get it.
Although this cooker does a pretty good job of evenly cooking, gravity still pulls the juices towards the bottom. if you didn't turn them they would be dry on top and possibly a bit mushy on the bottom.
@@fkdova2058 That's exactly what happens with my ProFryer. I just flip it and it's fantastic. Someone just gave me one of these Big Boss, but I love my ProFryer!!! I like the fact the Big Boss has no nonstick stuff in it. I may try it....but I don't know.
