    Thank you for this video. I just got one of these from FB Marketplace and I just needed a small turkey to make for mom and me on Thanksgiving. Your video gave me the confidence to use it. Thanks again

    Looks like too much hassle cooking with that Big Boss Oil-Less Fryer. I'm gonna continue to cook with my Big Easy OIL-LESS Turkey Fryer. Thank you for doing this video.

      I don’t blame you. I just have it and wanted to try to cook one in it. The charbroil Big Easy is fantastic for turkey.

    I've had a halogen oven for years. Wouldn't be without it. Done duck and chicken but not turkey. Think I'd turn the temperature down a bit. Easy to clean tho. I like how you can see everything cooking at a glance. Even cakes rising.

    That design works well. I have an original Nuwave Flavorwave Oven. It works great with easy cleanup. I quit using it because the ring is plastic before chemicals were being tracked.
    One thing you could do is to rotate the top every 15 -30 minutes.

      I guess so, but the top is centered. The turkey was very good anyway. Thx k you for watching and commenting.

    Thank you for this video! My mom also gave me a big boss and there's very few recipes, other than the original cook book, anywhere... I would love to see you cook other things in it! Or maybe just a few pointers if you have any?

    As you cut into the turkey, I could hear the crispy skin. The meat looks very moist. I think air frying is much better than using a whole bunch of oil. It's way safer. I do remember the infomercials from that NuWave oven, in the 1990s. Cheers, Big Lew! 👍🏻👍🏻✌️

      @BigLewBBQ  10 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah this Big Boss is a knock off Nu-Wave. These halogen ovens are the are the parents of the modern air fryer, which use an electric coil for heat and metal basket cut & shaped to circulate air better than a glass bowl of halogen ovens do.

      Thank you. It was, I just shouldn’t have used the garlic marinade. Because it burned where it leaked out of the injection points.

    Yes, most Asians had one in the 1980😂s. That time it was element, not halogen filament. Why most of us had it? Cos 90% of us didn't have big ovens.😂

      That’s actually how this channel got started. The Monday before Thanksgiving of 2016, my daughter who was 14 at the time videoed me cooking turkey on the Weber. She was putting it on Facebook live. Four days later on Thanksgiving morning I had my very own RUclips channel.
      It’s been a few years since I made a video of a turkey on the Weber. It’s high time I did another.
      In the mean time I will leave you with links to two older videos of me cooking a turkey on the Weber.

      Turkey is delicious. If you inject it and deep fry it. This simulates a real deep fried turkey. It was very close to a real fried one anyways. Not fry at all.
      If you have ever had deep fried turkey that was fry some one did it wrong.
      So you asked; “why?” Well it mimics deep fried Turkey with out the three gallons of oil.
      Very juicy. That’s why.
