I own one of these trucks and she’s a beast. Best truck I’ve ever owned. She can do farm and ranch work like a champ. She even pulls our Montana camper like a dream. Definitely a great truck!
Lust at first sight! Red is the absolute last color I would choose for any vehicle, due mainly to its rapid oxidation and heat. However, this particular 'Ruby Red' on this particular Ford pick-up is absolutely stunning.
what is the mileage? loaded and unloaded does anybody have experience with the newer 450? I am figuring it probably around 10mpg with a fully loaded trailer. also I see that a 4.30 gear ratio is standard for the 450. what are peoples thoughts?
I'll let you know as soon as the one I just ordered arrives at the end of March. Really pumped up for this but it might take a month to get the numbers back to you. Cheers.
the 2016 are supposed to have the aluminum body and that cuts 1000lbs. Im not sure its hard to find good information on what the real changes are going to be.
No talk of real fuel economy (Cummins owns reliability & economy). Sad that you must buy a 450 to get to where Ram has already been with a 3500 for years.
talk about lousy facts. The 6.7 Cummins has the worst fuel economy of the bunch. It's simple math, would you rather pull a 30K+ Trailer with massive frame rails, a 10_Lug Axle, 19.5" Wheel/Tire Combo and a Proper Rear Axle or Not? NPI to RAM but since they don't have a Commercial Grade 4500 with a Bed they have no choice but to push there 3500 to it's limits, and Trust Me, They ARE!!! JFYI, Ram only pushed there numbers to 30K a year or 2 ago, prior to that they have been mirroring their competition.
+187ffkev buddy go read my post again. Ram does not deliver a commercial chassis with a regular bed, ONLY ford does. For good reason ford separates there limits according to what they offer. Again if I'm MAX Towing in a pkup, the F450 is the best choice. Best look up data figures on fuel economy, RAM has been lagging behind since the intro of the 6.7 and has caught up or matched the competition with UREA
187ffkev Bro not sure if you live under a ROCK, you are talking to someone who lives in the construction industry. If you're gonna fling around fact finds, best you support those facts. RAM does not make a 4500 or 5500 Pickup. RAM does make a 3500/4500/5500 Chassis Cab which comes from the factory with only a CAB attached. Chassis Cab's has and always have been Commercial Vehicles that requires retrofitting of the buyers selected upfit whether an enclosed box, dump, utility, tow bed, ect.? A Pickup as defined by manufactures is a Truck with a prototypical bed attached to the chassis behind the cab when rolling off the assembly line. As far as a commercial frame, there is no significant difference in a RAM 3500 Pkup and a Cab and Chassis Frame, there strong frames but I wouldn't go so far as to say they are a special breed when compared to a RAM Pickup. On the other Hand Ford does in fact have a big difference between a F350 Pkup Frame and a 450/550 Cab and Chassis Frame in both thickness and design, F350 1/4" thick C-Channel, F450/550 is 3/8" thick with a taller and wider C-Channel and the entire center section is over 1/2" thick, double frame. If you come back with a rebuttal I can only assume you literally live under a rock or you're so young you're breaking your parent's curfew? As it stands, FORD is the ONLY manufacture that produces a 450 (4500) Pickup with true 19.5 10-Bolt wheels, Massive Dana S130 Rear Axles, Wide Front Axles, Cab and Chassis HD Components all on a Pickup with a typical box'd bed. RAM and GM stop at the 3500. You want to figure out a way to retrofit a pickup bed onto a RAM 4500/5500, go ahead. Mind you, it will be a detuned version of the 6.7 Cummins unlike the RAM 3500 (High Output) as is so in all Chassis Cab's.
it's not ugly it look amazing with classic style & with few body kits it will look better i mean look at the "new chevy" they brought a 1997 model with new look .
beauty is in the eye of the beholder. IMO, it looks awesome and manly. Really a set of wheels and tires to fill the large wheel well (not necessary) and the Superduty's really make the competition look Puny!

interior looks quite good actually.
It does. Lots of hard plastic but looks good, cheap interior and a lot of power I'm okay with that
Damn that's a gorgeous monster! Love it!

My woman and little girl love riding in daddy's ford.
That's a monster right there
Im looking for a truck camper rig, whats the payload capacity of 350 vs 450?
Tim Shull if your looking for a camping rig the 450 is way to much i would suggest the 350 SRW with the 8 foot bed
tyler boyer Even a 250 would work for a bed camper.
Everett Cox yep it would im just saying 350 because if you need to tow something for some reason the 350 has a higher max towing capacity
tyler boyer Yes it's always good to have more truck than you need...

M Keoni W umm sorry the ram has a 4500 and 5500 series truck. And the 6.7 gets great mpg.

After owning the dreadful 6.4L powerjoke 2008 f-450 no more fords for me.
You would be happy with the 6.7
Хорошая тачка у меня тоже Форд но значительно меньше)
Хочу
Can't they make it less ugly?
