    All that to find out your filter was still pretty clean ahahah I felt the disapointment

    Unbelievable that GM designed it this way!!! I was going to do my dad's but no way.
    Just did my VW Jetta in two minutes, no tools.

    Thinking I could do this on my lunch break only to find out I gave to dismantle my whole passenger side 😂 yea I’ll just let them deal with it when I trade it in

      That's why people stop buying GM products because born head engineers think think it through. Changing my Toyota and Honda cabin airfilter was a breeze.

      Totally agree, I was thinking of changing my 2017 cruze with 50k but it's so difficult, I'll wait till 60k. Damn, I thought I was a breeze like mu old Toyota or Honda but you're right, you literally tear the car aparts just to change one freaked cabin airfilter.

      Yeah that year cruze awesome compare with previous models, but cabin filter replacement does suck !! Just do it or get it done every other oil change ;)

      Yes agreed car is so much better then previous model but that cabin filter design it’s so terrible for often replacing

    You found the 5th bolt late. If you had found it earlier, would you still need to remove the center panels?

    It’s really not that bad. Just give a firm tug and the trim plastic becomes unfastened. Use a screw driver wrapped in a rag to pry with to begin working the trim free. Takes about 20 minutes.

    Mid 2016 and older is earsier to replace.They changed the Cruze in mid 2016 and look like the 2017 models.

    I’m tryna do mine only thing I bought my air filter and it’s a circle ⭕️ type instead of a flat box shape air filter ,any help recommendations?

      Hi there This video was made to show how to replace air cabin filter, not air filter ... air filter is actually easier to do on this car then cabin filter ...

    When I had a Honda civic the filter was inside behind the glove box, I was shocked when I got this Cruze and went to get the filter replace and the guy had to take my car apart to get to the filter like this which is so time consuming and annoying that it takes that long.

    Great video. All my other cars are MUCH simpler, without bolts and so many panels. Bad design chevy.

    Why them stupid engineers at GM changes the design and make it more difficult to changes the cabin airfilter. The old 2011 thru 2015 designs were much easier to swap out the filters. Lol

    Once again, whomever designed this car had to complicate things. What a real pain in the ass. No wonder people do not want to change the filter🙄. Unbelievable so annoying

      Totally agree I buy and sell cars and believe me people don’t even change filter in the easy ones lol … like older cruze or sonic or prius it’s like. 1 2 3 … quick lol
