I live in Belgium (It's the country right on top of France, and we speak french too.) and to be honest, the level of education is not that bad, and actually our English courses are usually pretty good, but here most people don't really care about school, and especially languages, so they don't listen and are bad in English. That's why we have a bad reputation...
eraldorh I don't really agree with that, most french people just aren't interested in the English language. In most France cities, schools are just a mess, nobody really listen or care about the lessons. But I would like to know more about your opinion, why do you think that?
In this video you prove that happiness has nothing to do with owning expensive stuff. By the way, you have balls of steel to get to those remote places in an old, cheap car that is not 4x4 or all wheel drive! Greetings from Spain
Thank you for your constructive comment Jorge! I love being far away from civilisation, & I will probably go further next time ... I'm just back from your country, love it! (I did a video with a Jeep, I will post it in a few weeks)
Transsmission how reliable have these cars been for you? in this video you seemed to kind of lift up the air intake to get it running, what was that all about?
Well in my opinion old & lightweight cars are the best, as they are reliable, easy to fix & strong, even off road. Excepted the front lift (Peugeot 405 shocks & 205 diesel springs), the car is totally stock. I have the stock engine with factory air intake.
Really? Looked like way more on the rocky part... You will get a feeling for it. Your front axle is super light so don't be afraid to go even lower. Everything above 0,5 keeps you save. And take look an tires from fedima. They make pretty nice off road tires also in 13" and 14"! :) Would look pretty nasty on your Peugeot!
please post a video of the car itself. the story of how you got it, how did you get it ready for the trip, and other things this has to be one of the most adventure inspiring videos in the internet. i will do this when i am able to free myself from the stresses of the city, my to-do list before retiring! :D
Miss my 205 so badly, best and most fun car i ever had by far, and also dirt cheap to run (mine was a diesel one, XUD7). Can't beat the 205 when it comes to smiles/miles. Really want to go out and buy one again after watching this. Went trough forests, on tracks, holidays and daily drove it for some years and the 205 never let me down, it was a great friend to have. Always worked, always comfortable and always smiling :). Vive la 205! Thanks for the video, have fun on your adventures and wish you the best! Greetings from Belgium. Normally i don't comment on videos but the 205 does things to you :)
A BIG thank you for you comment! That's so true, often I surprise myself smiling just by driving it : it gives you such a nice feeling! I have never felt that feeling in any other car...
TU3 engine, Small, powerfull, undestructible, great choice ^^ If you want some more power from it, try a Solex 32-34 Z2 two barrel carburator, they where used for the 85 bph XS and GT 205 and also for the AX GT, it might bolt right one your actual intake manifold.
Winston Smith Ah that sucks. I carried mine for a year in the Alaska bush. Used it for everything but had a fixed blade on hand for heavy tasks. Great knife for food, carving, and everyday tasks.
opinels are an OK knife, they arent shit like most cheap knives but a buck or something is worth it if you are heavy on your knives, ive gone through dozens of knives but not my buck its such a beast
Charlie Ward Haha speaking of which. Now that I don’t live in Alaska but instead a big city I carry a big meaty buck. Great knives, I love the boss heat treat and 420 hc that is used on most of their knives.
Well that's one way to exercise your dog! What an awsome video it tottally made my morning watching this and now I know what I need to go out and do this summer!
Bordel mon gars, tu m'as donné envie de partir.
Really nice to see you travelling like you do and enjoying yourself and your dog on new adventures. the 205 is a great car had one of those as my first car and it was amazing yours looks really cool.
I live in Belgium (It's the country right on top of France, and we speak french too.) and to be honest, the level of education is not that bad, and actually our English courses are usually pretty good, but here most people don't really care about school, and especially languages, so they don't listen and are bad in English. supersiem14 Ik ben waals, maar Ik kan nederlands spreken. Ik ben niet zo goed in nederlands. Mijn nederlands lessen zijn slecht. That's pretty much where my Dutch stops, but I've heard that you had better English and French courses. And yeah, I was explaining where Belgium is, because I didn't know you were Belgian too, that's really rare to meet someone from my country in an English video (even though it's by a french dude), and also because I just copied and pasted it on multiple comments talking about his English skills.
Really great video mate, I enjoyed it a lot. Like your style, love your english and your doggy is cute. Actually thinking about to join instagram just because you.
This deserves millions of views just for the quality of video and drone footage. Great! I did a similar 7000 km round trip in a golf 3 1.9 tdi across Europe. It was an awesome experience!
That was amazing. You shoved us that you don't need a lot of money to enjoy life. I love your attitude and positive energy man. Mad respect. Never change. Huge inspiration
This is really cool, that skid plate looks badass- would be awesome to convert it to 4x4. Do you have GPS links or area locations of where u went- those mountains look amazing. bet ur dog liked the trip :)
Thanks mate! It’s a custom composit skid plate! In this video we are mostly in northern Corsica : - Cap Corse - Desert des agitates (plage la salecia) - & around “Corte” for the mountains 😉 Matcha has LOVED our trip, now when I open the 205, she’s always running to jump inside!
Excellent video Baptiste! I have watched this loads. I had a 205 as my first car. You have inspired me to buy one now and see how well it does on some green lanes (tracks) in the English countryside!
LOVE THIS SO MUCH! The car, the doggy and the atmosphere of the video, love the landscapes as well. Can't wait to see more videos and new adventures! :D
i had one these before bought from E.S.B in dublin ireland for 50 euros, car still runs fine thought rust got the better of it, 400k miles, original engine and gearbox
fistingendakenny ESB would have kept it serviced and maintained it really well throughout its lifespan, when I was there some of the big trucks were 20 years old and still ran like they were straight from the factory 👍
I've literally started thinking about going on adventures ever since I heard that a company made off-road suspension for the MK3 Ford Focus. There are so many adventures to go on in the state of Washington it's ridiculous! You've inspired me even more because of this video and I say thank you! You've earned a sub and I'll be notified of your next videos.
You, sir, know how to enjoy life! Wouldn't be French without a picnic and an Opinel. Front wheel drive is surprisingly capable. Adding tire chains turns it into a tank! Wish we had cool Cars like that here in Canada. Simple, basic, rugged and light. Looks like you know how to drive, too! Reminds me of my younger days driving old cars in the woods. Thanks for bringing me down memory lane. Take care.
I had a 205 just as clapped out as that for my first car. Bought for £200, lasted me 5 years, did so many amazing trips in it too. Those engines DO NOT die, had a couple of close calls but she always came through! So, so, so good to see someone else pushing them to their limits and getting the most of of one!
professorweeto I believe if your berlingo is a front wheel drive, the rear spring/suspension system must be changed to 4x4 Under 2012year psa used torsions there... Otherwise just spacers?
wow! great video man, i love the car it is so cool!! cant wait to see what comes next. Your dog reminds me of mine which i havent seen in six months so that was also great !
RUclips randomly recommended me this video and i do NOT regret clicking and watching it believe it or not TWICE. This video enlightened my spirit for the rest of the day. THANK YOU!
Keep it going. Thank you for reminding that we don't need campervans, and traveling spirit is inside us. Good job. Positive and enthusiastic. Your English is much better than my French )
Transsmission your dog is so cool as well. Wish you all the best.vsubscribed to Instagram and RUclips. Keep it going ) i liked everything in this video.
When on snow you should let your tire..down. and here's a good trick you should carry some big cable ties ( zip ties ) put them through your wheel and up around the tires this will give you extra grip. thanks for the upload
This was a great video, the content, editing, and the way it was all done was wonderful.it sure did look like you had a great time,I could have easily sat and watched a full length recording of you and your dog,how about making some camping videos or what survival videos with your dog that would be cool.
I just found your channel and I think its super awesome, thank you you are so positive and your doge is so cute and heppy on the adventure, I always admired people with Vw t3 on road trips and my car (skoda fabia) is too small for adventure but man you showed me that its not. thank you I am hitting the subscribe button and keep up :)
Hi, travellers !😃
If you don't like my French accent, adventure starts at 1:29 !
Waiting for your feedback !
Transsmission hey from aus your accent is beautiful mate
Thank you Men!😀
Love the accent.
what kind of dog is that '?
a French Guy speaks English... Thumbs up! Your Dog is awesome! Nice vid....
Thanks Jonny !😀
I live in Belgium (It's the country right on top of France, and we speak french too.) and to be honest, the level of education is not that bad, and actually our English courses are usually pretty good, but here most people don't really care about school, and especially languages, so they don't listen and are bad in English.
That's why we have a bad reputation...
+IMNOTA French people are usually too stubborn and or arrogant to speak english even when they know it.
eraldorh
I don't really agree with that, most french people just aren't interested in the English language.
In most France cities, schools are just a mess, nobody really listen or care about the lessons.
But I would like to know more about your opinion, why do you think that?
Noone is talking about education levels, it's that they either do speak a language or they don't.
In this video you prove that happiness has nothing to do with owning expensive stuff. By the way, you have balls of steel to get to those remote places in an old, cheap car that is not 4x4 or all wheel drive! Greetings from Spain

Excepted the front lift (Peugeot 405 shocks & 205 diesel springs), the car is totally stock. I have the stock engine with factory air intake.
Know one ever needs expensive stuff and if it does bring happiness it's very short term.
What size engine does it have? The dog I mean. He seems to have infinite energy.
I've swapped the stock engine with a Bi-Turbo V8!
in french it's bi-turbo so...
no , in france the bi-turbo is 2 turbo different .. the twin turbo his the same
This is seriously one of the best videos I have stumbled across in quite some time!
Louis Ferrone III Oh, thank you!😃
Nice project!
When you go offroad next time, air down your front tires, you will be amazed what big difference it makes :)
Syncrofan Hey men, thanks for the advice! I was running 1.3 Bar during my trip
Really? Looked like way more on the rocky part... You will get a feeling for it. Your front axle is super light so don't be afraid to go even lower. Everything above 0,5 keeps you save.

Love it! Nice car , beautiful dog, great content!

This guy is living the dream, being brave enough to go on an adventure with little more than a cheap car. The dog must've enjoyed the trip a lot.
She has absolutely loved it! She can't wait to leave again hehe

Cool video and nice car! Such a good dog, too :)
(Just make sure he doesnt get to close to the wheels or gets hit by a rock in situations like 6:40.)
Many thanks!
Yes you'r totally right, she's not disciplined enough to stay when I'm driving, she was only 1year old here 😊 We're working on it
Going off-road on a budget is lots of fun. Gather up some friends with cheapo rides & get out there.
Well done man, this looks like an awesome journey! Subbed!!

It was in spain
Alexis Oh I did not knew that !
Thanks Jack, glad to hear you enjoyed it that much! 😃
I'll do some more video with the Peugeot, stay tuned 😉
Love your doggy!
Love it too !
How do lift the car i have a 205 and a like lift
Hey, I've installed front 405 shocks with 205 diesel springs. It's that easy. Or you can also build spacers.
Transsmission thank you for the info have a nice day
is this the only modifications? I'd like to take my berlingo where you have gone.
professorweeto
I believe if your berlingo is a front wheel drive, the rear spring/suspension system must be changed to 4x4
Under 2012year psa used torsions there...
Otherwise just spacers?
5:40 french af
wow! great video man, i love the car it is so cool!! cant wait to see what comes next. Your dog reminds me of mine which i havent seen in six months so that was also great !

in algeria will cost you 3000 US Dollar
in mèxico it was 900$ USD
Thanks for your inspire. Great!!!!
Great video! So much inspiration to get on the road again :) Done allot of roadtrips
What a wonderful little film and a very lucky dog, really enjoyed.
Glorious, I had a 205 GRDT as my first car, I miss that thing.
Please make more! I never knew that such a basic and cheap car is that capable and fun!
Many of you have been asking for more, I will probably show more about my setup ;)
One of the coolest videos I’ve seen in a long time. A proper adventure.👍🏻👍🏻

When on snow you should let your tire..down. and here's a good trick you should carry some big cable ties ( zip ties ) put them through your wheel and up around the tires this will give you extra grip. thanks for the upload
Thank you Michael !
Looks like you both were having a great time
This was a great video, the content, editing, and the way it was all done was wonderful.it sure did look like you had a great time,I could have easily sat and watched a full length recording of you and your dog,how about making some camping videos or what survival videos with your dog that would be cool.

That acceleration at 2:00 isn't too bad actually better than I thought from an 80's mini hatchback
Never thought I'd see a 2WD car do so much work offroad honestly
This is amazing. Living free!
This is great! I love the thought behind it.
I personally might not have gone for a 205 but it certainly matches the french lunch. ;D
Keep it up!
Awesome Dog and great video...enjoyed it a lot! Thanks
