Add essential oils 10. Place water and citrus peel in mason jar 11. Shake every few days 12. Let ferment for at least 1 week before using. Good luck sis!

I know people say that your hair is always growing, but from 2012 until 2019, I did not see any growth. I wore braids, then switched to protective wigs, heat only once a year. Moisturized. I truly feel that your oil woke my follicles back up and reminded them of what they were supposed to be doing. I'm still wearing wigs, and literally the only thing I changed was flat twist to individual braids and your oil. Now a year later, I'm coming back to what got me back in the game. Thank you

@@Cherryvanilla4122 thank you for breaking down your routine. I apprecaitie it 🙂 What porosity is your hair? Just asking as I am low porosity and I have found that the rice water can be a bit much for my hair. Maybe I need to dilute it.

GUYS THIS BEAUTIFUL LADY RIGHT HERE IS THE TRUTH! My hair grew like crazy and is still growing, I’m also going to try this out too and see how my hair does but girllll, hair growth on crack she wasn’t kidding!
Everyone be careful with rice water if your hair doesn't require it, it's very high in protein and some people run the risk of their hair becoming dry/brittle and breaking off.
I used it once, my hair was really hard, like an extra, extra extra protein treatment. I did 2 deep conditioned with steam to keep my hair from breaking.
The key is the water. 1 cup of rice to 5 cups of water then i still pour half of the concoction in my spray bottle with more water glycerin honey oils aloe vera and sometimes add a leave in conditioner to my spray bottle well diluted.
You look beautiful! I did a black rice deep conditioner almost 2 weeks ago. My first time with the rice . My hair was so nourished, soft & shiny. I have my hair in twist, I normally wash weekly but due to my work schedule I was a bit lazy this week and my twist still holding. I will definitely be doing this biweekly. I added aloe powder, fenugreek powder& amla & oils. I boiled the rice till it was mushy & then blended.
Try fermenting in aloe vera juice or distilled rosewater....I've also started adding sage to the mix....this is done for additional moisture. The Yao women also recommend using glutinous rice and they ferment for up to a month. Fermenting longer makes a huge difference. I use black glutinous rice and regular black rice.
That part where you were cleaning the rice was *chef’s kiss*. The editing and camera work was Hollywood quality. Keep it up 🥰 either way I love the video
Yay! I am excited about this challenge. I am still using the fenugreek castor oil pre poo. Also other Ayurvedic herbs in shampoo. My hair is stronger and getting longer. I will incorporate black rice water every other week.💜
The smell isn't that bad with rice water.. I mixed mine. White rice and black rice.. From the first applications which was last week. I saw an amazing and sudden change in my hair.. My hair live this treatment
i have being doing the rice water for 6 months now but adding the fenugreek to my routine boosted #beastmood hair growth. i am definitely doing the this challenge
Super excited to do this challenge with everyone. I usually find out about challenges after the fact. This time I already have all the ingredients and I'm ahead of the game.
Thank you, thank you, thank you Curly Proverbz.😀I experienced a lot of hair shedding especially noticeable on shampoo days, I would literally have clumps of hair. I’m so ready to go!! I was already working on a nutrition plan for myself anyway. I’m glad to include hair growth aspects and go along the journey with you all!! 💕 Thanks for all the excellent tips!
All of your videos have great content! I must say if your hair looks like this from all of your methods you have done well. I have taken tips from many of your content, but I just find it challenging to keep up with it all. I’m a homeschool mom ,health coach and trainer, and just can’t find the time to do all that you are doing with your hair. I have to take off work just to get the mixes together 🤦🏽♀️. I guess what I’m trying to say is that trying to grow and maintain hair is a lot of work that has to fit a certain lifestyle. I’m second guessing if I want length now😬🤔I think I’m gonna go for healthy hair for now! Keep up the good work.
You look healthy and gorgeous. I have some black rice water fermenting for about three days as your video has just reminded me of it lol. Usually did about 24 hours. Want to use it for my hair line. Thank you. I love your videos so much. My hair thanks you too! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I've been following you for years and finally am able to do a growth challenge with you. I cant wait. I've fermented my black rice and fenugreek oil. I've been taking the vitamin which has already been so helpful. This is gonna be awesome!!!!
I'm so glad I found your channel. I want to grow my hair to great lengths. I've used henna and think ayurvedic treatments seems to be the way to go for hair growth.
I am so excited for this challenge. I am off to buy my black rice (which I prefer for my rice water) and the tea seed/camellia oil. I live in China so gotta get some Pomelo in the morning. Also loving the transitions in the vlogs. Getting even more creative. Stay blessed. May we all be blessed with retention and healthy hair throughout this challenge.
I’m so excited for this challenge! Following your videos for the past year has my hair in the best health it’s ever been and the longest it’s ever been.
I followed this recipe and added it to another recipe I find on another channel to make a prepoo detangler/clarifying treatment. 😶 My hair is loving it. So much less breakage, better moisture retention. I love it! Thank you ❤
I am super excited about this challenge! I will be using a combination of brown and white rice! I looked it up and for those who may not be able to get their hands on Camelia Oil before the challenge, Argon oil Avacdo oil Coconut oil and Castor can be used as a substitute.
I've been using my ricewater recipe to slick my hair recently so I am interested in joining. 😁🥰 Ha I also use black/japonica rice with essential oils. I do not use citrus when it is sunny out but other oils have been great. I've never used the white rice. Love you much!
I'm such a fan of your channel! It's helped me so so so so much along my natural hair journey. I'm excited for the challenge. In terms of future videos - I would love to see a video on your favorite product gels, and how you use your diy gel. And, are there any gels you recommend for an aryurvedic cream/gel wash and go? :-)
As someone said, do be careful using rice water. Listen to your hair always. If it starts acting funny, stop but if you experience no bad reactions and you are getting inches, keep going if you please. I just wanted people to know that rice water isn’t bad for everyone. I have low porosity and used rice water for 1.5 and my hair is still doing very well. Didn’t grow crazy long but I barely shed hair. Everyone different and I hope y’all try it for as long as you can before dismissing it.
@@sharnab3032 yes ma’am started early 2019 and still use it now, so I guess longer than 1.5 yrs but now it’s like I use it everyday or I forget a week and then go back to it unlike before I had my son(this past August) i was using it at least every other day. Hope this makes sense.
I’m ready! Love your channel and it’s helped me so much over the years! Hands down, you are the best! I also appreciate the great quality of your videos and tutorials. God bless you! ❤️❤️🙏🏽🙏🏽🤗🤗

@@aishatarver193 that's they key right there. Balance is why i add more water than rice and still dilute with more water when adding to my spray bottle.
Please add more tips for pregnant ladies‼️💪🏼 Love your recipes & I was shocked to find out about pregnancy & essential oils..omg well I’ve been diluting them in oils for a while now but any tips would be great
I like your videos but it’s always information overload. Will you please make a video clearly detailing your regimen over the course of a month/week/day?
I have heard that a violet toned shampoo is great for brightening it and avoiding a yellow tinge, but honestly have not tried any that I can recommend. I would be careful to avoid herbs such as henna to avoid copper coloured strands if that is not your thing. ACV rinses are great for getting hair super shiny as is a cold rinse x
I have a request..... Can you get a person who has a severe hair issue and treat there hair step by step live. So we can tune in and watch. I prefer a woman with alopecia. Your hair is stunning!!!!
Thank you. At the moment that is tricky with covid restrictions but that would be a great suggestion. Some ladies show their progress with my tips over on the Facebook hair growth challenge and share tips that work for a range of hair issues that they find useful too. These issues include alopecia
I'm making a hair regimen now for my lover and I'm going to add this in. I'm going to add this in, and add rosemary into the boil. I have just about everything on hand besides the oil. I'm gonna try adding some neem oil and hope for the best. 😳😬🤞🏾
This definitely a confirmation for me. I went back and watched your fenugreek video yesterday on RUclips, got up this morning and made fenugreek with aloe vera juice and also made some fenugreek oil. Will it be safe yo use the fenugreek with aloe along with the rice water? If so what’s the best way to do this?
Thank for the challenge and everything you do. FYI; Pomelo is in the family of grapefruit but is only available late-spring through mid-summer. HOWEVER, the Yao women actual used DRIED pomelo skin. So, that's something to consider.
Sounds like an awesome challenge...can't wait to begin🙌 quick question...with the msm and vitamin c..do you drink it together in a glass of water or is it taken separately?

I’m a homeschool mom ,health coach and trainer, and just can’t find the time to do all that you are doing with your hair. I have to take off work just to get the mixes together 🤦🏽♀️. I guess what I’m trying to say is that trying to grow and maintain hair is a lot of work that has to fit a certain lifestyle. I’m second guessing if I want length now😬🤔I think I’m gonna go for healthy hair for now! Keep up the good work.
🤩💜 please show us how to use the fenugreek powder in a oil without it sucking up all of the oil when mixed
You look healthy and gorgeous. I have some black rice water fermenting for about three days as your video has just reminded me of it lol. Usually did about 24 hours. Want to use it for my hair line. Thank you. I love your videos so much. My hair thanks you too! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Yes Girl I have been using this over 6 month now let tell it work wonders
I will try this challenge. Thank you for this! This video quality is all that!
Please, PLEASE do a application demonstration video! 🙏 Thank you!!
My favorite RUclipsr! Thanks for all the hair love!
Yesss I’m so ready for the challenge
Gurrrl me too!
Question! Did you say how long the challenge will be?
waiting on my camellia seed oil to come in T_T - let's just hope it does by the time this challenge starts!
Amen!! Glad your excited to join the challenge x
January 3, 2024 : Here I am for this challenge. Happy and blessed New Year to you all.
I'm super excited!!! this will be the first challenge from CP that I get to do when it starts.
I have bite the bullet and doing this challenge and I can't wait...❤❤. My hair stopped growing years ago.
I love it! Thank you ❤
Did you notice any hair growth?
@@mayasayonara9169 yes. My density is back to what it was when I was a kid, and my hair grows well.
Wow love how you explain everything.
I am super excited about this challenge! I will be using a combination of brown and white rice! I looked it up and for those who may not be able to get their hands on Camelia Oil before the challenge, Argon oil Avacdo oil Coconut oil and Castor can be used as a substitute.
😍❤️ that intro was adorable
I've been using my ricewater recipe to slick my hair recently so I am interested in joining. 😁🥰 Ha I also use black/japonica rice with essential oils. I do not use citrus when it is sunny out but other oils have been great. I've never used the white rice. Love you much!
Much love babe. Excited to have you for this challenge x
Yes got my first ever fenugreek seeds yesterday very excited. And hv rice water fermenting now
As someone said, do be careful using rice water.
You used the rice water for 1.5 what? You didn't say
@@sharnab3032 yes ma’am started early 2019 and still use it now, so I guess longer than 1.5 yrs but now it’s like I use it everyday or I forget a week and then go back to it unlike before I had my son(this past August) i was using it at least every other day.
Hope this makes sense.
Wow. Love your video. You are def raising the bar!
Love the pink blouse, can I say 💣 dot fricken com!! pinks are my favorite👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Aww thank you so much
So excited!! This will be my first hair challenge.
I’m excited for this challenge. I’ve never done a challenge before so am hoping, praying and believing for massive growth.
I think I will try also
So excited for this challenge ! ❤️But what if I can't get Camellia oil? What can I replace it with ?
Sweet almond, Argan, Avocado, Olive, Jojoba Oils.
I agree with Sunni any oil can do. I love olive oil and it is very accessible. x
HennaSooq.com has great Camellia oil
I’m ready! Love your channel and it’s helped me so much over the years! Hands down, you are the best! I also appreciate the great quality of your videos and tutorials. God bless you! ❤️❤️🙏🏽🙏🏽🤗🤗
This came right on time😌. You are greatly appreciated 🥰
@curlyproverbz this challenge was life for me , the growth omg can I say I love you!!! Thank you so much for putting this challenge out there for us, I’m waiting patiently on what you are doing next.and is it safe to do this more than a month? my hair is strong like rope but soft like butter. I will wait patiently for a word from you because I know you speak the truth .. I see it in my growth thank u thank u thank u.😘❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much for this!! I am sure its fine for as long as your hair continues to respond well. xox
I tried the rice water and literally lost hair everyday. I guess I'm one of those ppl that can't use it. The msm + vit c has done me right tho. And I also use fenugreek seeds.
@@aishatarver193 that's they key right there. Balance is why i add more water than rice and still dilute with more water when adding to my spray bottle.
Ahh thats a shame, again we must listen to our hair and do what works. Glad you found what works for you.
Yes... I am in for challenge
Do you mix the MSM in the fenugreek ?
Mix it with coconut oil, or with ur conditioner or deep conditioner.
Hey pretty lady! I actually recently purchased some black rice. Super excited about this challenge!
So happy you are .... I am too!
Please add more tips for pregnant ladies‼️💪🏼 Love your recipes & I was shocked to find out about pregnancy & essential oils..omg well I’ve been diluting them in oils for a while now but any tips would be great
We love you Curly Provernz! 💖💖💖
I like your videos but it’s always information overload. Will you please make a video clearly detailing your regimen over the course of a month/week/day?
I would luuuuvvvvv to know how to take care of my greys. Make them shine and platinum bright my hair!!! Thank you
Henna! Trust me please!
Henna turns gray hair an orange red
I have heard that a violet toned shampoo is great for brightening it and avoiding a yellow tinge, but honestly have not tried any that I can recommend. I would be careful to avoid herbs such as henna to avoid copper coloured strands if that is not your thing. ACV rinses are great for getting hair super shiny as is a cold rinse x
Hi Curly! When are we starting this journey, this week? I am making my rice now. Then I have to make some fenugreek oil!👀😱 I am so excited!!!❤️🙏🏽
Glad your excited 19th October x
I’m going to try also, hair is long but oh so dry
Rice water also makes an Amazing face cleanser/ rinse! 💯💋
What a wonderful video. Its been a minute since I've visited but I'm always amazed when I do. Many blessings my dear Sis!
Yes I recently started fenugreek and rice water it's the bomb
How do you use the Fenugreek oil & rice water? Little confusing as to when to use which.
Awesomeness! Love 💕 your new filming and style 👍🏾
I'm making a hair regimen now for my lover and I'm going to add this in. I'm going to add this in, and add rosemary into the boil. I have just about everything on hand besides the oil. I'm gonna try adding some neem oil and hope for the best. 😳😬🤞🏾
Hey! Amazing video. Really like these diy/rutine/challenge vídeos.
This definitely a confirmation for me. I went back and watched your fenugreek video yesterday on RUclips, got up this morning and made fenugreek with aloe vera juice and also made some fenugreek oil. Will it be safe yo use the fenugreek with aloe along with the rice water? If so what’s the best way to do this?
ugh i freaking love youuuuuuuur videos; theyre amazing
Thank for the challenge and everything you do. FYI; Pomelo is in the family of grapefruit but is only available late-spring through mid-summer. HOWEVER, the Yao women actual used DRIED pomelo skin. So, that's something to consider.
you really are shining today and i love the shirt
Sounds like an awesome challenge...can't wait to begin🙌 quick question...with the msm and vitamin c..do you drink it together in a glass of water or is it taken separately?
Thanks for saying that about the fenugreek and rice water .. fenugreek scalp rice water hair
