It's even more romantic when you realize they're married in real life! Took almost 50 years for it to happen but they were in love since the very beginning. LOVE TRULY CONQUERS ALL!!!!
Love knows not the ticking of the clock, nor the passage of years. It took 32 years for the man I always loved and I to come together in love. I cherish every moment.
This movie absolutely change my very mind as a 8 year old girl. Not many movies bring a little girl to tears with this scene. I became a hopeless romantic to this day...this scene actually gave me expectations that never happened much to my dismay. But still one of my favorites at 58yrs old.😊 Franco Niro ...
In real life, Vanessa and Franco had a child together and a relationship which lasted for many years. They finally married when they were 65 years old!!! True story.
I adored this film. Vanessa was so beautiful. She and Franco Nero really did, when making this film, fall in love. And then many years later, when they were free to, they met again and married. How Lovely. My first love was Robert Redford. No Hope!!!
P Toppy What’s even better is that his romance with her is him in his physical prime, so Redgrave saw him at his best before they married more than 50+ years later.
As much as I love ‘All I Ask Of You’ and ‘A Heart Full Of Love’, for me at least, this is the greatest love song ever. The passion in the lyrics and music is breathtaking.
If ever I would leave you It wouldn't be in summer. Seeing you in summer I never would go. Your hair streaked with sunlight, Your lips red as flame, Your face with a lustre That puts gold to shame! But if I'd ever leave you, It couldn't be in autumn. How I'd leave in autumn I never will know. I've seen how you sparkle When fall nips the air. I know you in autumn And I must be there. And could I leave you Running merrily through the snow? Or on a wintry evening When you catch the fire's glow? If ever I would leave you, How could it be in springtime? Knowing how in spring I'm bewitched by you so? Oh, no! not in springtime! Summer, winter or fall! No, never could I leave you at all!

We, the audience, watched Vanessa and Franco literally fall in love with each other. Not only as Guineviere and Lancelot, but as two hearts entwined forever. Ah, amorè!
Too bad it was cut off in the middle! There's another two minutes in the movie, with gorgeous retrospective scenes, and then the reprise of the theme. Robert Goulet is great, but you have to admit this is the more romantic interpretation, and just possibly the best. A little bit bel canto; not so much con BELTO. ;-)
This song gave me an image in my head this image was me chasing a girl that I love through the woods because I was worried that some thing was wrong then as I found her near a campfire and the moon above us and as we sat down me and her hugged and we gazed at the stars.
Yeah, it's too bad this video got short shrift, as the whole scene goes on for a while. Nevertheless, it does bring back the sparkle of these two players. Camelot, the movie, didn't get great reviews -- much of this centered around the fact that it was all shot on a set when it could have taken advantage of great landscape. Well, the movie is what it is, and you either appreciate it or not. In my humble opinion it all works out pretty well. The cast is terrific, and retains a theater-bound limitation, focusing a lot on close-ups. It is less epic than personal. This clips is a good example of how the film works to its full advantage. It puts the emphasis on the songs (which it probably really should) and, in the abilities of the actors. To the careful observer, you'll notice a tear hanging in the corner of Vanessa Redgrave's left eye as Franco Nero spills his guts. She doesn't have a word of dialogue during the song but conveys her anguish quite marvelously. What a ravishing creature, but morso, what a superlative actress. Compare this to her role in Ken Russell's "The Devils." Wow.
Vanessa actually had a cold when they shot this. In some of the close-ups in the film you can see her tooth-fillings. Love her, and Franco, true love in life.
No, they aren't and in fact speak a different cultural-linguistic. And anyway, you are just basing that on a discredited theory that was popular a few years back but getting it wrong, according to the Brythonic people, including Arthur, were descended from Basques (not Catalans, again not a related to Basques apart from some mixing)... however linguistic and genetic evidence doesn't actually support that theory at all.
Love her, but Lesley Anne Warren did more credit singing as Cinderella than Julie did. And, Vanessa Redgrave gets my vote too for singing as Guinevere. Sorry.

Wow. Are they still together in 2024?😊😊
@@kristinedunner988 yes Vanessa and Franco are still together as far as I know.
I adored this film. Vanessa was so beautiful. She and Franco Nero really did, when making this film, fall in love. And then many years later, when they were free to, they met again and married. How Lovely. My first love was Robert Redford. No Hope!!!
Handsome men are everywhere. Just keep looking for them.
I have adored this film for years.Harris,Redgrave & Franco Nero were divine & inspired casting.Nero is the most beautiful man I've ever seen!
+P Toppy I think Bernie Sanders is more beautiful, although Nero is cute.
Joel Barry You are obviously insane. Although everyone admires Bernie; how could they not?
+Mike Delaney Campeau I went to a shrink this morning Mike. He sides with you, I AM insane! Thanks!

Yes, he's definitely one of them! I say that from utmost respect.
One of the greatest love songs ever.
I watched it when I was an adolescent and I could feel a real
chemistry between them.
As much as I love ‘All I Ask Of You’ and ‘A Heart Full Of Love’, for me at least, this is the greatest love song ever. The passion in the lyrics and music is breathtaking.
He sings this song beautifully .
And full of love.
Gene Merlino was dubbed in for him.
Merlino -great name for a King Arthur film!@@cinnaplid
Franco did not sing it was dubbed
greatest love song ever
His eyes are full of love.
I did a client's product advertising, which was photographed on many of the Camelot film sets. One of the thrills of my life!
Thank you so much “Max Garcia” for posting the passionate and poetic lyrics to this beautiful song! Great movie, fine acting. 🥰👍❤️
this beautiful eerie song gives me goosepimples

Franco Nero 飾演騎士 Lancelot .
Vanessa Redgrave 飾演皇后. Richard Harris 飾演King Arthur .
影片描繪了騎士 Lancelot 與皇后真摯悲傷情不自禁的愛情故事.
所有的人都付出了一生的代價... 啊,是那樣的悲慟感人...
唱過這首歌的最少也有十幾卄個歌手!
可是在自己看來,那麼多年來,從原版黑膠唱片聽到現在網上;
2020.6.
2 gorgeous human beings who actually really fell in love. ❤

La más delicada canción de amor que yo haya escuchado.
Please let us just enjoy the wonderful music without politics.

Magnífica la música de Loewe
What a voice 😮
Went to go see Camelot in 1968 with my first girlfriend. Best part of the movie!
Too bad it was cut off in the middle! There's another two minutes in the movie, with gorgeous retrospective scenes, and then the reprise of the theme. +rickideemus The singer here is Gene Merlino a noted studio singer for many years.

Though I only remember part of it because this was a years ago
Best couple of the cinema and life.

So much Aquanet for early England!

love love love
They fell in love and married !And this movie is delicious! Me
Camelot My Jenny ❤
❤❤❤❤❤❤
You give me the whole song then cut the last line? Dick move, WB, real dick move.
A cheap ploy to make you want to purchase it.............
im so curious about This Movie
This was from the "musical" movie version titled Camelot.
The voice double for Franco Nero is no Robert Goulet, spring, summer, winter or fall. Oh no, not at all.
no, the song was dubbed by Gene Merlino. Franco Nero spoke French mainly, but was learning English. But, Robert Goulet could have done equally well
Actualmente, los dos estan casados
Ralph Wiggums brought me here
He reminds me of Taron Egerton here!
You ended the video before he finished the song, seriously?
Dubbed by Gene Merlino

I hope that's his real voice, and not dubbed.
Update: it wasn't. I'm sad now.
Wonder what the film would be like if Julie Andrews was in the Role
Love her, but Lesley Anne Warren did more credit singing as Cinderella than Julie did. And, Vanessa Redgrave gets my vote too for singing as Guinevere. Sorry.
Fancy cutting off the ending.... shame shame shame
Who came here from Tiger King?
Terrible edit.
and THIS was a WB video, you think they would have better staff doing this.
If ever I would leave you
It wouldn't be in summer.
Seeing you in summer

Your hair streaked with sunlight,
Your lips red as flame,
