I've always wondered why this film is never released on TV. It's like having beauty confiscated or locked up in the shelves of a dungeon-store. Thanks for posting it.
KatenHeather, tears, man, tears. So many years - too many years - have gone by since I was first enveloped in the magic of Camelot. Today, a quintessential autumn day with a golden sun lighting and warming the fields out back, I took a walk and found myself, for no explainable reason, thinking of Camelot. I came in and pitched RUclips for a glimpse of this great work. And, your vid appeared among the choices. I am so absolutely happy I chose this video. Masterful. Kudos to you. You captured in brief the depth and breadth of what it is to be human, to have a grand idea, to battle your passions, to succumb to your heart at your heart's expense. Yes, Camelot - for one brief, shining moment.
Carl Rachel thank you so much for choosing our video; a wonderful special memory of creating it almost 3 years ago; it is one of the hallmarks of our livese too. I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Harris on his last tour of Camelot, it was as if I had met King Arthur....stardust memories :))
Carl Rachel I loved this film when I 1st saw it. Only recently did I learn that Nero had his voice dubbed. I can't recall the name of the singer --I believe he's Italian or Spanish, but Nero did NOT sing his part. --I was so in lust with Vanessa Redgrave!! Wolfsky9
If ever I would leave you It wouldn't be in summer. Seeing you in summer I never would go. Your hair streaked with sun-light, Your lips red as flame, Your face witha lustre that puts gold to shame! But if I'd ever leave you, It couldn't be in autumn. How I'd leave in autumn I never will know. I've seen how you sparkle When fall nips the air. I know you in autumn And I must be there. And could I leave you running merrily through the snow? Or on a wintry evening when you catch the fire's glow? If ever I would leave you, How could it be in spring-time? Knowing how in spring I'm bewitched by you so? Oh, no! not in spring-time! Summer, winter or fall! No, never could I leave you at all!
I could never figure out why she would go with this guy. He's so serious. I'd hang on to Richard Harris. He's smarter, has an open mind and a good sense of humor.
According to Arthurian legend Arthur was a good many years older than Guinivere. She did love Arthur, but not in a passionate way. With Lancelot it was a raw, all-consuming, insatiable, mutual deep love. Sometimes looks have nothing to do with attraction. It's a chemical reaction within the brain that draws two people together.
MrSgtSniper Very interesting ! I was quite smitten to meet Mr. Harris in the last days of his touring in Camelot, not as dashing as he was in the film but hey, he was King Arthur to a young lady.... I use to like him as a guest on the talk shows. He was a good story teller too.
Sensational.. Could listen to this song a thousand times and never tire.. One of the all time classics if you are a loving soul.
Very romantic. This has always been one of my favorite films. Rest In Peace, King Arthur.
Richard Harris legend. Limerick man.

+Wolfsky9 it was the voice of Gene Merlino; he sang with The Anita Kerr singers
This just gets more excitingly beautiful throughout the years. Thank you!
Great song! Thanks for sharing it with us. I have always liked the way this version was sung over original with Robert Goulet.
+Tony Corrao the singing voice was dubbed with Gene Merlino who sang with The Anita Kerr Singers

I dated a girl from Limerick when I was in London in the 70's. She knew Richard and his brother.
