- This is a camera I have owned for many years and I decided I should do a review as I am about to sell it.It is a beautiful precision instrument and very well made. It ,with the Canon 1014xls, were probably the last top quality amateur film cameras made by Canon before VHS took over.Don't forget to subscribe if you like this channel.Please note I have now sold this camera to a local wedding videographer.Below is a link to a filmed wedding he has recently completed on the camera.

I bought one of these on eBay about 20 years ago and it's been a fantastic Super 8 camera. I just ordered two Kodak Ektachrome cartridges and plan to shoot them in March on a short trip. Looking forward to using this camera again!
Thanks Chris. My son used this camera when he was doing a media and production skills course to make some movie shorts with his group. They were terrfiic but I can't show them here because of copyright. cheers Geoff
Hi Geoff, do you still have this camera or did you sell it after correcting the battery issue? Luckily, I have never had an issue with mine (knock on wood). I just received my new Super 8 cartridges today and will expose them in the next two weeks. I definitely should try to shoot more film in 2024! I would love to see some footage from Australia if you still have a Super 8 camera. Chris
@@chrisratchford8153Hi Chris. I sold the camera to Curtis Brownjohn ,a wedding videographer. I got the battery part fixed and he improved on that. @@josesitocomunica9056 I don't know how much that is in Australian dollars but if it is working it might be good to get.
@@josesitocomunica9056 Forget it if you want something good and a little guaranteed you have to spend at least 400 or 500 dollars otherwise it is only easy that you will remain still ..
