One thing I love about Nick Lutsko is how relatable his music is
Absolutely, this is my usual Tuesday afternoon. Idk about anyone else.
Right I've never related to anything more in my life.
Mayer's don't know the first thing about selling crickets.
Fr
That's so true it's literally every day
this is the greatest villain role I’ve had the honor of portraying.
👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼
You evil mayor, you!
I'm glad you feel that way because I am naked in your basement right now.
Villain? I thought the mayor's cricket catching regulations were intended to spare children at the county fair the inevitable plague of locusts and hunky man junk? Maybe I need to go back and read the book Crickets was based on so I can get back in touch with the source material.
So much villainy packed into a few moments. Hope to see you in more projects with Nick
He discarded that hairpiece like it was an old exoskeleton.
Has anyone else listened to this song 30+ times in the past 2 days? Just me?
Can't stop, won't stop
Think it; dream it; do it
I can’t stop. It gets me every time he rips his wig off.
Really appreciate Nick’s commitment to exposing government corruption even at the local level
As someone who has met a mayor, I can admit that they don't know anything about catching crickets.
This seems like a humblebrag and I’m here for it
I made a Wetzel pretzel for Oscar Goodman may of Las vegas
@@ZillMob there’s no need to dunk on the rest of us like this
@patd0 made a Starbucks Frappuccino for the undertaker one time too :)
Cannot get Eric's perfect emotional performance of "She doesnt know the first thing about catching crickets!" out of my head
It is so good. Not being silly. So moving. My heart has never hurt so much for a man simply wanting to show devotion to the queen, while fully exposed.
Yeah, my favorite part is the extra little something he gives on “crickets”. Just pitch perfect.
That gentleman has no hair!!!!
Nick harmonizing with Nick sounds so good!
This may be the most curious I have ever been over a Lutsko song's origin.
When he got to the basement and ripped off his clothes I thought for a second this was the origin of the men beneath the stairs in grandma’s basement.
What if it IS
Men Beneath the Stairs Multiverse
The "Show devotion to the Queen" hook and the end is unexpected and amazing. You've accumulated a new fan.
normally id say "i wish i could experience his music and videos for the first time again" but with Lutsko they never fade. I could watch them 100 times and still burst out laughing. You have a HUGE catalogue of their music and comedy to browse through, I'm excited for you!
His most popular is the Alex Jones Indie Folk song, its a good laugh.
A classic tale of mayoral overreach
Fore some reasone ive come back to this a lot. The beginning and the "she doesnt know the first thing about catching crickets" part (aswell as the later iteration on that line) are just earworming theyr way trough my mind. But the whole thing is insane, the production value and acting are great and its intresting to see Nick take on more of a director and less of a lead actor role. I love Nicks acting dont get me wrong but this is for shure a fascinating new level of dedication to a bit this random. At the very least it feels like it, cant wait to see what Big Nick does next
It felt like we got a preview of this type of thing in "Ceviche Man," where Nick was only a secondary character!
When I first watched this, I sort of discounted the entire thing other than the stellar acting --- Greezy is soooo good and I love Nick's smile when he shows Greezy the video...
But Nick knows song writing...so much so that the chords and progressions in this one are amazingly compelling and addictive.
No matter how strange this one is, Nick manages to subconsciously hook the listener in from the outset with the simple subdued and completely ridiculous melody of "I sell crickets of the county fair..." From there it only gets better. The tonal shift once Greezy gets in the basement is absolutely perfect from both a visual and an auditory standpoint.
its never just funny or just catchy or just well mastered or just well produced. Its ALWAYS all 4 of those things. Its just a revolving door of Lutsko earworms ever since I first heard him.
SHE DOESN'T EVEN KNOW THE FIRST THING ABOUT CATCHIN CRICKETS
You aren't alone. That exact same line is ear wormed in my head right now. Found this video & artist 2 days ago and that line has not left since. I've already told my wife she doesn't know the first thing about catching crickets. She was confused, but agreed.
Puts a whole new twist on "Hail to the queen it's Spirit Halloween."
Duuuuuude I didn’t even put that together
I think I can just listen to this on repeat for the rest of my life and I'll be good.
MISS YOU NICK
I for one welcome our new cricket overlady.
It’s almost funnier to see Nick playing the straight-man for once
Man, this one was a rollercoaster ride. More than usual, even. You're on another level.
I think it was a Ferris Wheel actually.
This song is no longer the first result on RUclips for "crickets". This is an outrage.
Similar thing happened in my town with our cricket salesman.
Amazing. The only artist bringing us information like this.
Well that got fucking dark
I just have this on repeat. I can’t stop.
My man went real dark on this one.
Absolutely incredible. Nick Lutsko doesn’t miss. That mayor was way out of line
The Mayor is a dumb.
Elected officials have a responsibility to understand the cricket business. Disgraceful.
Nick Lutsko, pride of Chattanooga, TN hoots another banger out into the world. Sacrificing his own foot for his art like a modern day Van Gogh, it's clear there is more than Cat Piss running through his veins. Everytime he opens his mouth you can be sure that either true poetry or regurgitated beans pour forth unabated
Eric Parham acted the shit outta this! so good!
The recent news about teen trans activists releasing 6,000 crickets at a transphobe conference brought me back to this song.
Brendon Walsh sent me here and my mind is thoroughly blown. Incredibly original art.
No way! I know BW from the prank phone call show Not Even A Show made by a crazy Canuck - Chris James. Their call with a candidate about the supply chain and inflation effecting Brendon's gay porn career due to the constant lack of lube and subsequent "dry anal" is one of the few times I've seen Chris completely break character and be forced to end the call. ruclips.net/video/atEvxdZ3MBo/видео.html
I can always count on nick for absolute bangers. Me and my crickets love this song. So relatable.
"Me and my crickets love this song," 😂😂😂 Are you on the Discord? If not, you should be. You'd fit right in.
Not just funny, not just decent music... but without-fail hilarious and beautifully produced music. Hes such a gem (the band as well, and Desmond, and everyone else) I'm so glad I found him. I'm not on the patreon or anything but ive caught some of the live streams and the summer concert they did was so great. Saw him live Halloween 2022 and cannot wait to see them all again. 2hrs of nonstop great music, laughs, lore, everything.
God the way he rips his hair off- the best.
Honestly, this is the best thing I’ve seen on RUclips in years! It really brings back the vibe of the old days when everything was just real and fun. It’s refreshing to see something so genuine, and it had me laughing the whole way through. Fair play to you for making such a brilliant video!
right up there with some of Weird Al's great original songs... gotta get these guys together!
Love the song Big Nick, but what in gremlin hell did I just watch????
This man is a Dylan-tier lyricist. What a banger
I keep coming back to it, there's something so captivating about it...
I will never be the same after watching this.
show devotion to the queen!
from ceviche to crickets this guy doesnt miss
We really need to see a collab with Nick and Tom Cardy
Yes
I need this in spotify!!!
It's a tale as old as time
I’m addicted to this song and this video - can’t get enough of it. Simply amazing 🦗 🦗 🦗 ❤
🦅
This is gold! I want a movie, and a show, whole damn NLCU.
This is truly a work of art, bravo sir 👏
The shot of him ripping the wig off is amazing. LMAO
unbelievably underrated
Eric Parham was so good im commenting twice!
My brood-mate suggested this, our whole hive is abuzz. Best cricket-music for years!
If and when you release this year's halloween songs as an EP, it'll be one of my all-time favorite EPs. These songs are hilarious and the musicianship is incredible!
EP out tomorrow
What does ep stand for?
@@autismcenteral7306 extended play. It's like an album, but it only has 4-6 songs on it
@@autismcenteral7306 extended play record, more songs than a single, fewer than an album.

Anybody else want a full prog-rock album from Nick now after that tasty crunchy outro?
Catchiest nightmare fuel ever
1:32 OW!
Nick, I just found your music through this song and I can’t tell you how much i love it. To convey so much emotion through comedic lyrics is such a gift. Hope you keep doing this and loving this for a long time.
I have as of now watched this 15-20 times in less than 24hours.
30-40
my new favorite song
This is life changing
Good 90s, Wallflower Type, vibe. A bit more edge and crescendo, soild. It turns into a Monster Magnet song at the end.
It’s a story as old as time. Well done, Nick!
I cant stop watching this. The crickets talk to me in my sleep
Why is him summoning the queen and the song turning more rock and roll so good
Had to revisit just to add how amazingly good Greezy's acting was in this one (I think that's him? please correct me if I am wrong). I'm being 100% serious even though it's a strange role in which a man has fully committed to being a naked, bald hunk of a human who rides a giant cricket. In any case Nick is super lucky to have him playing bass because he could have just as easily be an incredibly compelling actor in film. I would watch anything he was in.
I think that's Ceviche Man
@@pppmbteaching Well, whoever he is, he's absolutely fantastic. I will feel a little sorry for Nick when loses him to the next big Marvel Movie.
Nick is very lucky to have a human chameleon in his band!
@@pppmbteachingI thought Ceviche Man was also played by Greezy's actor. Playboy Pete from the Celebration of Country too. Gotta go back and watch them all to see
@@XabungleAs far as I know those are all Eric Parham. He's also Alf, the People of the Forest, and the little boy from Pumpkin Man!
Hail to the queen, this is Spirit Halloween!
This is the best one of these so far!
The return of the Cellarverse!
I just really want to know where in the world the idea came from this. Its a masterpiece...but I have to know...
The gentleman has no hair!
The mayor has no say how I run my business !!!! 💿🗽🕺
This song is my cricket swarm.
This may be the most metal thing ever invited
Relatable song tbh
That was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. Reckon I'm about to binge all your videos in order. Have a like and a sub homie.
I didnt think this was going to be this awesome
Another great song Big Nick
he sings it at multiple octaves doesnt he.
I was wondering how it sounded so good
Very big cricket. Thanks, Big Nick!
amazing topper to a fantastic season
Playboy Pete looking good...honestly i love this song
Just happened to type in crickets and found this. Best coincidence ever.
Please tell me you're not kidding! 😂😂😂😂
Welcome to the party, friend! *SHOW DEVOTION TO THE QUEEN* 😤
ey algorithm push that stuff to more people, nick is the best!
It's surreal that this time nick one of the sane ones
Happy Halloween my love
I am devoted to the queen.
"The gentleman has no hair"
Well done. Love it.
Co worker: What kind of music do you like?
Me: Um...
I can't believe the mayor doesn't even know a single thing about catchin crickets.
Well that was fucking weird and had great production value. Subscribed.
This is literally incredible
Brilliant. I can't get it out of my head. The song and the concept are gold!
I don’t know whether to laugh or be very very scared
This is underrated af
show devotion to the queen
now this man knows the plight of your average american
Hello to your whole creative team of rascals. Please continue your work. Thanks :)
I cant stop playing this song in my head on repeat why is this so damn catchy and fire 🔥 more i need MORE
Found this masterpiece through World Record Podcast and can’t stop watching. Criminally under-viewed
I saw the first episode of the 90s The Outer Limits the other day which I think helped prepare me for this experience
Lyrics:
I sell crickets at the county fair
The seventh generation to hold a chair
But now suddenly they're tellin me
That I'm no longer welcome there
They say they caught me on camera
At the mayor's house
Naked with my belly pressed to the ground
Sniffin at her cellar like a basset hound
Diggin my way down
But the mayor has no say
In how I run my business
She doesn't know the first thing
About catchin crickets
And anyone can see
That wasn't me who did this
That gentleman has no hair
So I'm banished from the county fair
The crickets are insistent it's warfare
They whisper while I sleep
"Show devotion to the queen"
"No mortal shall be spared"
So now I'm drivin down the highway
To the mayor's house
I've got a hundred-fifty crickets
Hidden in my mouth
And when she opens up the door
I'm gonna spit them out
I'mma teach her a thing or two about
How a mayor can't dictate a family tradition
She doesn't know the first thing
Of my sacred mission
The queen is calling me
Outside her jurisdiction
To the cellar beneath the stairs
Show devotion to the queen (x4)
well played sir
By far the most fire bars I heard in my entire existence
