I love the way this film ends. You see Andie MacDowell sort of smiling and what is that expression? One of Acceptance? Peace? Happiness? Both her and Mr. Depardieu really nailed it. Terrific chemistry and this ending. The way Peter Weir abruptly cuts to the closing credits.
Thanks so much for uploading "Green Card". I saw it twice or three times on Cinema. This movie brought light into my life. Thanks Peter Weir, thanks Gerard and Andie and all the actors and people involved in such a beautiful movie.
When the movie started, I thought they miscast Depardieu as a romantic lead.....but by the end of the movie......the man completely charmed me until I was more or less a pile of mush. Ladies, y'all know what I'm talking about.
Annie Keller the ending gave me chills...I want someone to hold my face and look at me like that...he wasn't an oaf in my book..soooo romantic...and that apartment...and...I AM THE HUSBAND...SOOOO DREAMY
I was born 81 but this movie ... I was a child and that's how it was engraved on me when I watched it .. Especially the music ... And the other day I bought it, and watched it, 4 times in 48 hours ... Magnificent! The actors are fantastic!
Thank you MrCt5kan for uploading the movie I too have seen it many times. I remember the first time I saw it I was in Boston at Dental school. Balled like a baby , Here it is 2018 Still balling. LOVE IT!!
She follows him to France, they have a rough start, and she returns to the US. She decides to re-marry years later, and has to find him again to serve papers. She goes to France where he has become a wealthy performer. He is unhappy with his mistress, and breaks up with her, while discovering he still loves Bronte. He has to win her back, but as they are still married, he has another chance at love. Bronte realizes that Georges's life is in France, and after their time together, she finds that she belongs there with him. They walk out of the train station and pass a musician on the street like the one that was in NY when they got married,
5:20 After kissing Bronte, she has her eyes closed and looks so beautiful. George looks to the heavens and then back to her. She opens her eyes and her look is so passionate (props to Andie here). George actually gives a little nod of his head and then walks away. Total MAN'S GAME.

Weir always did that. All of the endings of his movies are top-notch. Especially this one, Dead Poet Society, and Fearless.
Still one of the best love scenes ever made ( in the end of the movie! ) And the music is so perfect for the feelings they have for each other! ❤
The sexual tension when they stare at each other through the glass in the cafe ... whoa. And I just love each embrace they share in this scene.
when he holds her face and kisses her i just melt
I absolutely love this movie ...I agree one of the most romantic endings in a movie ever ......great acting as well. Thank you for loading ......
He is such an inventive actor. This was wonderfully played.

totally, Annie Keller! I know what you're talkin' about. That last long kiss and stuff? Best love scene of any movie I know ;)
Gerard, ... Yum.
One of the end scenes I ever say. If you haven't watched it in a year it feels like the first time.

Unreal
Hope i can have the love of my love again,,,, maybe one day?
I didn’t want him to be deported 😞
I could watch 3:55 endlessly, ...
So, at the time this was made; how long was George deported?
Was he ever able to re-apply?
I've always wondered??
and then she goes to France and finds out he's very poor, and she regrets and divorce him and he didn't get the green card. The end.
