Life could be tough, but that doesn't matter, at least not so much, until you don't have love, and don't trust yourself anymore. I am glad they have both, which means it doesn't matter to have green card or not.
"Your first feeling ... good." The argument had so much sexual tension between them -- it was clear they'd already fallen for each other. The moment they both see the clock, the argument is forgotten and they're working together ... clear signs that they weren't actually angry with each other. The moment when they're holding hands and running is poignant, especially since it means that they're touching each other in genuine feeling and not part of an act.
I 'm glad to have found this scene so I could rewatch it and finally figure out everything they are saying. The argument is a very important scene in the movie, and it is kind of a shame the dialogue is said so quickly that it is tough to follow. I actually find the argument to be so realistic as he is just laying out what her issues are, which is actually to her benefit to hear, while she is just hitting him with truly awful insults that he manages to ignore. The argument is true to how women argue and true to her character, which really is that of a privileged child. I doubt I could love a woman who'd call me disgusting to my face, which makes the sudden switch to a loving couple jarring and seem manipulative. However, this is in keeping with his earlier statements that everyone has both love and hate in their hearts. That is made plain by him ending with "your first feeling... good." Clearly, hate is closer to love than apathy, and that is one of the themes of the movie.
