I was born in a small village. I was still a child when we were raided by soldiers. Foreign soldiers. Torn from my elders, I was made to speak their language. With each new post my masters changed. Along with the words they made me speak. With each change, I changed too. My thoughts, personality, how I saw right and wrong. Words - can - kill.
Mundo Virtual America is a country of liberty. A meeting of immigrants. Instead of simply assimilating, its citizens live alongside others. So the Major sought a system that used information, words, to control the subconscious.
+Bulgarian Beyonder "This world will become one. I have found the way. Race, tribal affiliations, national borders... even our faces will be irrelevant. The world that the Boss envisioned will finally become a reality, and it will make mankind whole again."
"We hold our rifles in missing hands. We stand tall on missing legs. We stride forward on the bones of our fallen. Then, and only then, are we alive. This "Pain" is ours and no one else's. A secret weapon we wield, out of sight. We will be stronger than ever. For our peace ... Still, It doesn't feel like this is over."
+Emad Wolf I remember that he wanted to make David Bowie's "Diamond Dogs" the opening music when Venom Snake wakes up or something like that, and literally everyone in the office was against it.
+Mindaugas7100 I loved him as a villain in Ground Zeroes. He had the perfect amount of presence and was very threatening especially with the cassete tapes. In Phantom Pain there just wasn't enough of him and the jeep ride was half silence and he even got stiffed with the cassete tapes. I loved what was there.
+Mindaugas7100 I don't want to argue with you, that wasn't my intention when I posted, all I mean to say is running through the story with op camo and gear will obviously make the game feel repetitive, go to boss, use newly aquired weapon on boss, rape boss, proceed. Nah man slow down, hold folks up, use animals, use empty magazines, go for European Extreme clear, experiment with bosses, alot are not as you say with very specific kill requirements (although admittedly, some are) tbh, I've never played TPP myself, but my point was about mgs3, which I played for ages as a kid and always enjoyed. Oh yeah, I forgot the Kerotans :).
when this started playing on the stranger things show, i kept expecting for big boss and kaz to show up and be like, "why are we here... Just to suffer"
"This world will become one. I have found the way. Race, tribal affiliations, national borders... even our faces will be irrelevant. The world that the Boss envisioned will finally become a reality, and it will make mankind whole again."

"I haven't forgotten what you've told me boss, we have no tomorrow but there's still hope for the future. In our struggle to survive the present we push the future further away. Will I see it in my lifetime? Probably not, which means there's no time to waste. Someday the world will no longer need us, no need for the gun, or the hand to pull the trigger. I have to drive out this demon inside me, build a better future. That's what I, hmm, what "we" will leave as our legacy. Another mission, right boss?"
+Ishihara Yuuya いしはら ゆうや Extract all wandering MB soldiers and visit her every single time. If you want, look at the medical platform where the "PAZ room" suppose to be from the outside. Then you'll know what he means.
This song is just so mesmerising. I get utterly consumed in the overwhelming beauty of this song. I've easily listened to it 50 times since I saw the newest trailer, and I've just completely fallen in love with it.
"Now do you remember? Who you are? What you were meant to do? I cheated death, thanks to you. And thanks to you I've left my mark. You have too - you've written your own history. You're your own man. I'm Big Boss, and you are too... No... He's the two of us. Together. Where we are today? We built it. This story - this "legend" - it's ours. We can change the world - and with it, the future. I am you, and you are me. Carry that with you, wherever you go. Thank you... my friend. From here on out, you're Big Boss".
To give yourself to a cause, body, mind, and soul. To fight against staggering odds, tooth and nail, and stop at nothing to come out on top. To create an army not for any government, but for the soldiers that you lead, following you without question. To make the world see you as a force to be reckoned with, and shudder at what you could accomplish. This is what it means to be Big Boss. You are Big Boss, and so am I.
Why isn't this song found as a cassette tape ingame? It fits the 1984 genre but it's still not in the game, not even the shortened version. The absence of this and Nuclear is a shame among the other cut content this game promised
Eli, George and David are 3 of the original 8 created from Big Boss’s genes, was in his late 50’s when he was replicated. Solid, Liquid and Solidus: Les Enfants Terribles
+Mindaugas7100 I was actually expecting to play as BB, but instead i get to play as someone that is nothing more than a pawn. I would be less sad if TPP wasn't the last Metal Gear, but the game is awsome anyway.
+Mindaugas7100 to be fair I got spoiled by a comment even before I had the chance of finishing the game, but I wasn't sure. Then I killed a staff member when I was doing random stuff at mother base and they basically spoiled the plot with the game over screen. When you kill one member of DD they will say something like " Maybe you're not the Boss we hoped for." and Ocelot says it.
+Mindaugas7100 I do like the character, bit not the plot. Not because it's not good, but because now I think that BB is an asshole, and he actually is because BB is raising children only to make them soldiers, but Venom instead prefers to make them live like normal kids.
This song makes me want to make a Quantin Turintino like movie but takes place after a murder of some high profile person where it's up to the protagonist to track and hunt down the killer. During the journey he gets visited by faces of the past and is brought on to another much bigger journey of redemption.
I remember this song being just as touching back when I watched More years ago. The memories suddenly flooding back made the new trailer that much more powerful.
iamthezeldafan0626 - Funny thing is, The previous trailer has Mike Oldfield's Nuclear - Mike Oldfield being the creator of Tubular Bells (Which was the "Excorcist Theme".
This song is very interesting, it does such a good job at conveying the sense of an epic tale something incredible and unbelievable yet here it is. It's very adaptable as well conveying a sense of impending war and a feeling of revenge in mgsv but feeling much more somber and depressing in stranger things. It's more of a story than a song in my opinion if that makes any sense.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is definitely my personal game of the year for 2015! Kudos to Hideo Kojima, and Konami! "Konami at its best!" (the last line I used was from the statement, the old Castlevania: Symphony of the Night had on its playstation CD description)
There is a world where you exist. but you are not there. I dream, i pray..I wish for that world. You are not mine. And will never have you. Just as you will never have me. The father said.
This was the E3 trailer soundtrack when it was shown live no one was the same again this is the power of Hideo Kojima he can caret thing you can not imagine you only think of Metal Gear well Hideo Kojima was working on anther project it was non other the Silent Hill Fuck Konami because they are wasted Kojima was the best thing that had happened to Konami because Kojima bort team Silent back together as well as Akira Yamaoka and Elisabeth Mugaven now you tell me if Hideo is not just the greatest game developer he did not want to stay with MGS forever he wanted more but people are just assholes they want metal gear and nothing else thanks' Kojima
Man I love this. I honestly consider this the theme to MGSV. It just fits the eeriness I get after revealing the truth behind the game as I live out my life as Venom Snake.

Saw this live in 1985. Still blows me away 30 years later!
"We hold our rifles in missing hands. We stand tall on missing legs. We stride forward on the bones of our fallen. Then, and only then, are we alive. This "Pain" is ours and no one else's. +Emad Wolf Totally
+Emad Wolf Yeah the dude is such an inspiration ahah what a respect i have for him no joke

+Gray Fox no he is the one who chooses. it was confirmed on the codec show in RUclips.

+Mindaugas7100 Imo to say mgs3 had no replay value means your skill level stayed at a static rate through your entire (only) playthrough

I KNOW, I was so surprised when this song played. I paused the show just to go to RUclips and play the song there with my copy of MGSV in hand.

RIP Ian Curtis and thanks Kojima for introducing me to a whole new perspective on music.
The world calls for wetwork, and we answer. No greater good, no just cause. Everything we have, all for revenge.

Even taking a shit is epic when this song plays...
New Order and Joy Division 4 ever.Oh and MG series rocks too.

Eli, George and David are 3 of the original 8 created from Big Boss’s genes, was in his late 50’s when he was replicated. Solid, Liquid and Solidus: Les Enfants Terribles
I gotta admit snake is more scary than the monsters we encounter in horror games.
***** I didn't say he isn't big boss xD and i knew that when i played chapter 1 yesterday.

Listening to this while doing homeworks is truly relaxing
this song makes me want to make a movie
Vionic_ same with Kojima, I mean, do yo ever have seen all the cinematics in all mgs saga?
To ulises guevara: Do you know what grammar is? You should try it.
Metroid-Killer yes i know, but my native language it's the spanish so... yes

New Order has that distinctive guitar, bass, and synth that I love.
The piece was written in memory of Ian Curtis, the Joy Division frontman.
i like to play this over cringe videos and wonder where we went wrong
play it over the recently trending triggered sjw videos. let elegia slowly drown out the shrill screeches. sublime
I never imagined how this song could be even better....
"I wont scatter your ashes into the heartless sea. I will always be with you"
Eye for an eye. Skull for skull. Violence breeds violence, and phantoms breed destruction
Reminds me a lot of "shine on you crazy diamond" an epic tribute track to a fallen friend.
I remember this song being just as touching back when I watched More years ago. The memories suddenly flooding back made the new trailer that much more powerful.
Cipher sent us to Hell, but we're going even deeper.
+Kaz They played us like a damn fiddle!
Qué gran pieza musical. Sublime.
too bad this wasnt on the mixtape
Such a haunted, pained sound.
It fits perfectly.
amazing music!!
731rb46 V now u see why us old hats are always braggin about 80s music.
This song sounds like something from the exorcist but it fits MGS so damn well.
iamthezeldafan0626 80s music is always awesome. this new order track was featured in the 80s movie pretty in pink.
iamthezeldafan0626 - Funny thing is, The previous trailer has Mike Oldfield's Nuclear - Mike Oldfield being the creator of Tubular Bells (Which was the "Excorcist Theme".

Last time I've seen them live, they opened with this and chained it with Crystal. Now THAT'S how you start a gig.
I am jealous
Metal Gear has changed since the days of portable nukes and bee man. Now we have tremors, fire whales, and Demon King Big Boss.

This is the full, actual song
The one used in the trailer is a shortened version
epic tracks kojima is a genius disapointed him leaving konami.. but his legacy will echo through eras of gaming.. hyped for phantom pain!!!!
This song is very interesting, it does such a good job at conveying the sense of an epic tale something incredible and unbelievable yet here it is. It's very adaptable as well conveying a sense of impending war and a feeling of revenge in mgsv but feeling much more somber and depressing in stranger things. It's more of a story than a song in my opinion if that makes any sense.
shezmu24 this song works well with stories because it's written for a real life tragedy. It's a memorial for Ian Curtis.
daaaaaamn..... syrup.... accident
we've all been there
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is definitely my personal game of the year for 2015! Kudos to Hideo Kojima, and Konami! "Konami at its best!" (the last line I used was from the statement, the old Castlevania: Symphony of the Night had on its playstation CD description)
'Love this song, heard in Stranger Things for the first time.
"Time and again the country was ruled by a foreign tongue, when he was a young boy he lost his native tongue. The bedrock for any developing child."

Deepest respects to Kojima for reviving New Order and Joy Division.

Mr. Robot brought me here :)
+iLycan really? which episode?
+SuperJackman117 I can't remember this in Mr. Robot either.
+Ratman When you look up the Mr Robot soundtrack on RUclips, this song is at the end of the playlist for some reason.
We are Diamond dogs

Venom is real bigboss. He dyed a hand for an evil deed by oneself for DD and Naked Snake
Just another day in a war that never ends...
THEY PLAYED US LIKE A DAMN FIDDLE!
Metal Gear Solid V: The Medic Pain
Wait aren't you trying to say...
"I've restored peace and security to my new empire."
"When the time comes. I'll pull the trigger"
In outer heaven men becomes demons
They fiddled us like a damn play.
"Kaz, this isn't about the past. I'm fighting for the future."
this track was probably the most interesting part of the scene.
THIS IS NOT ABOUT JUSTICE, THIS IS ABOUT REVENGE.
Soul defining
Thanks Hideo Kojima to let me know this wonder.
This reminds me of the film - It Follows
Pequod refuses to play this so when routine bites hard, Love will tear us apart is what we land to
This song can make anything fucking epic!
"Demons, you and me...the both of us"
"I was born in a small village."
I'm walking to work listening to this track most days. only for stranger things
This song makes me feel bizarre and strange somehow, it makes feel like I was in different time zone in my previous life if there was one that is .
I love this fucking song!
I'm still yet as to why there hasn't been an epic Quantin Turintino-esque action/murder mystery movie made with this song in it.
A grate man once said 'God created war so that ... “It's hard to lead a cavalry charg
SOM FODA, ESPETACULAR/ AMAZING!!!
Reminds me of some of the music from Gods Will be Watching
why are we still here just to suffer
Man I love this. I honestly consider this the theme to MGSV. It just fits the eeriness I get after revealing the truth behind the game as I live out my life as Venom Snake.
Midge Ure's cover of The Man Who Sold The World is definitely the best theme to Venom's character and his arc.
Opinions, nice to know :/
