I play this on late nights when I walk along the beach line. Sometimes, I forget how beautiful the world is, even when it feels as though it's tearing itself apart. To all those alone or feeling lost, life really is beautiful.
Whenever I start feeling down about the state of the world, I try to reflect on how we're one of the first few generations that can now regularly and immediately hear about chaos halfway around the world, in a matter of minutes. I often question if the volume of chaos per capita has actually gone up, or if we're just being fooled by the volume of available and reportable news. Generally I conclude that it is the latter and then remind myself that my locus of control starts and is primarily centered around me, and my reactions. I don't know, hope that helps!!!
I walk, often, alone, enduring loneliness but enjoying the few perks: observing nature, observing people, especially being engrossed in beautiful music without having to listen to people talking about themselves. Life is good, but lonely.
Love ur Reply Im same too. In a crazzy savagery world of los Angeles im alone moderate Introvert yet keen of my surroundings amidst Stupidity little wisdom- backed humanity... hollyweird with its stupid media entertainment is sickening and stupid but im Strong in the Lord...
Loneliness is when you don't have anyone to share your inner life with, and it sucks, bitterly, but i still prefer it to the noise of the reality and the world that generates it, and above all, i prefer it to other people, stuck in their ways, stuck in their heads. My inner peace is the most sacred thing i have.
I’ve been reading sci fi books listening to this on the Road reading books at the bar and when I get home my neighbors can’t believe it, “it’s a poor man’s oculus“ and when I say that I think they get it. Lovely creation keep it up please!
The nice thing about being very alone is you get to do whatever you want, and at first I tried so many different things. But slowly and surely, everything you don’t really care about gets left behind and the only things left are the things that really matter. For me that just means listening to music almost all day every day. Take that away and I am truly lost.
Paired with Ice by Anna Kavan 📚 I have developed a habit of playing these ambient pieces while I read so that, in memory, a specific video will be linked with a specific book. Thank you for this ✨✨
That’s so good to hear thanks for sharing that! Exactly why I make this stuff. To help people relax, feel inspired and enjoy whatever they’re doing 🙂 Happy writing!
Brett this is a stunning piece - absolutely blissful - the swirling pad synth and that bass synth gently making a rhythm - amazing - I emailed you.... thanks for sharing
Fantastic post. The art work and music is so relaxing. One of my favorites. So The Ailens that landed on earth 44 years ago built this and then just left. Never to be seen again. We still do not know what this is or does. It could be for some future landing. If it is it is going to be very far into the future. However it does give a peaseful relaxing vibe to anyone that get close to it.
you dont know how much your music elevates my life and career. I can get into flow state for a long time with your music. if you have a patreon I would support you for sure
I live in a remote area of Wyoming. I have walked in a similar snowy landscape, but without ever seeing a monolith like this. If I did see such an alien artifiact, I'd probably have a heart attack. But the music is so peaceful and relaxing. Thnaks!
Wow, what an amazing sound, mate! I loved the synthesizers; you create very cool atmospheres with them. I haven't quite mastered them myself, but your work inspires me to delve deeper into studying. Keep up the fantastic work!
I love this!! I just discovered it yesterday and I've been playing it on repeat - over and over and over - while I work on big translation and editing project. It's perfect. :-)
Dude! I follow so many ambient channels, but I gotta say yours is something else! I love the fact that you use a lot of sequences in your music. It really gives life to the tracks!
We rarely get snow where I am in NC... This past winter, we hardly even got a dusting of it. 🙄 Dang it! We got a bunch a few years ago, though... I was thrilled to see that, as I love winter the most. 😃
Actually i love this music! I can work as sleep with it, it s emotionnaly strong but calm. Thanks for the share. Question : who is the author? You should add this info in the description.
I Absolutely LOVE this track, I found it this morning, and I have been playing this on loop till 10pm tonight, I will be playing this everyday, it's just exactly the perfect atmospheric Sci-Fi track I've been searching for. And I yes I agree with others, this is perfect for times when you're alone or lonely... You don't feel alone when listening to this 😍 Thank you, its phenomenal 🙏🤍🙏
I slowly trudged from the distant parking lot up the snow-covered path to the Monolith. The cover story was that the structure was yet another raydome for the Strategic Defense Radar Network, constructed in the northern wilderness. In actuality, it enclosed our interstellar communications link, the Monolith, provided by The Federation. We just didn't want the public to know what it really was, ... just yet. Most days, it appeared unremarkable, except when it snowed. Our scientist suspected that the shape of snowflakes somehow interacted with the radiation emitted while the Monolith was operating. One could see a faint glow around its surface - the exterior lights adding a reddish hue at the base. Given the time of year, it looked rather cheery. Still, I had to wonder what that unknown radiation was doing to everyone working inside....
The information officer looked up. The face was almost translucent glowing like a crystal lit from within with winter moonlight. I expected the voice would be like ice singing.
Been out of town for a while, Brett! Always great to get back to work with a new track of yours playing in the background. The thin, icy synth serves this piece very well! I hope you stay warm this winter season! :O)
I've been writing science fiction for some time, and I just found this channel. This music with the images gives me inspiration and I can work perfectly, thank you very much!

Let it SNOW let it SNOW let it SNOW !!! 🥰🥶🙋♂ Tangerine Dream , that is this I got thinking of.... A compliment for you :) I am 60 years and got to know Tangerine Dream in 1983 or so with the album EXIT. Please listen to this! Greetings....
The trail led me to an old machine that seem to be on the verge of leaving this planet. Like our Rover on Mars this machine was the same sort but far more advanced. It had been here for millions of years. Its builders are calling to it. And it requests me to get on board before departure.
Random reference but the soft, beat-keeping synth thuds (e.g. 12:42) completely remind me of the underwater level on the original Donkey Kong Country on the SNES.
A Lord from Planet Earth (Russian: Лорд с планеты Земля) is a trilogy of science-fiction novels by Russian writer Sergey Lukyanenko. Although predominantly science-fiction, the novels also include some elements of the fantasy genre. On many planets there were mysterious spheres a kilometer in diameter on a thin leg. Some "Sowers" populated the planets with life, leaving these spheres for centuries.

Yes, absolutely! We should always try to appreciate the worlds beauty and enjoy the little things :)
you are not alone. God has always been, is and will be with you without demanding anything in return.
We live in interesting time's. We are the "at the door" generation.

That low bass beat is a lovely brain massage. Thanks!
Wonderful! You're welcome!

Lonelyness seems to me as the sad feeling of being alone🤔.
Peace may be the positive feeling of being alone, I think.
It is perfect being lonely.
I love it as I have time to think

I like laughing. Thanks for the fun comment.

Why are they here? They have to give off some type of vibe or signal that we can not hear

i hope we get the answers we are looking for one day.
What an exquisite sound! Super-chilled with undertones of Tangerine Dream in their golden era; as a BIG fan of TD, that's praise indeed. Outstanding!💫
Awesome, just awesome!
Thanks!
This was so magnificent. I did not even "hear it" when I was lost in thought, with this playing. It's "that" good!
Truly a successful track, it really manages to make the listener travel with these ups and downs!
Thanks! Glad you like it!

What a coincidence!! 2 weeks ago I composed a track and titled it Monolith.
Oh nice! I’ve always liked the word Monolith, used it in song lyrics years ago too
