It looks like Japanese oak to me as I used to use this timber years and years ago but it's not available now in England I do not believe anything I'm a bit concerned about is the moulding machine it's got no guard or fence on it , i'm 68 years old and I'm retired so I still have my woodworking machinery and I'm now live in France but I'm in lockdown so I am doing things to keep myself busy he is doing some very interesting bits of furniture and jobs that people could do in the little hobby shops . Please be safe you doing marvellous work and keep safe healthwise in these bad times regards Phil from the Moulin in France
