* I didn't mention how to say from 1 to 12 o'clock in the video, as it's more straightforward than minutes. Except for 4 o'clock (よじ), 7 o'clock (しちじ not ななじ) & 9 o'clock (くじ), other hours are just pronounced as 'number + 時(じ)👍
There are two main parts in this video: 1) Japanese Listening Practice with a story (without subtitles)
2) Listening the story with subtitles and explanations!
I hope this lesson will be helpful for you!

I actually understood most of the conversation even before the English explanation. Maybe not word for word , but the whole context I get it. The use of visual animation really helps me with comprehensible input.
Midori was not allowed to enter the cafe but she was able to drive an spaceship HAHA
I'm so used to the characters now that seeing Midori leave the cafe upset and in tears broke my heart 😭Glad he/she/they/it got see a shiba inu at least!
they/it …
Bruhh 😆

omg, i realized i know so much more than i lead myself to have known since having it slower and broken down. I love this so much!!!! Thank you! ❤
with this video, i wrote down all of my inner translations as the no subtitles version of the story played. At the end, I was able to confirm what I correctly understood and (some words I correctly guessed due to easily comprehensible context) and learn now expressions/words I didn't quite get. I am very proud to say I understood about 85% but now I know that I need more practice with time and location words/conversations! Also I absolutely

Great video as always but could break down long sentences too? The sentences near the end were a little hard to follow and the small subtitles are difficult to see on my phone.
Thank you for your feedback! Yes, I also noticed that the subtitles of long sentences became very small on the phone. I'll take note of that and make sure to break down long sentences next time. Thank you again for letting me know and I'm sorry for the inconvenience! 🙏
Have you done one where you say things like go right, turn left, forward 2 blocks, etc. Directions I mean.
I wish I have Midori as my plushie
みどり ちゃん は かわくて、あかるい ですね 。(cmiiw 😊)

Can you please tell my why we add ご before 親切?
The prefixes 'お' or 'ご' are sometimes attached to some nouns to make it sound polite. (e.g.) ご家族(かぞく) - referring to someone's family (polite) , お飲(の)み物(もの) - referring to someone's drink (polite)
@@Japarrot_LetsLearnJP Thank you!
Do u mind putting pitch accent too? Bcuz i'm really struggling with pitch accent rn 😭
5 years in martian yar is like 10 years old on earth ! thats not fair for midori !
I love these videos but please do something about the chiming. It's extremely painful to those of us with sensitive ears.
Thank you for your feedback! I'll take note of that and remove the chiming sound from the scene transition from now on. Thank you again for letting me know and I'm sorry for the inconvenience.
