The fact that they made the scenario a stressful one makes me remember the vocabularies much more. Same as to the funny ones. Japparot truly is amazing. Deserves more donations.
I moved to Japan in August (around Osaka area) and I feel like a Martian a lot of time (like Midori!) Because my Japanese isn't very good. Thank Japarrot for making these amazing videos, they help me so much as someone who likes making illustrations and learning Japanese ☺️👽
Thank you so much for your comment! 🙏I'm so glad to hear that my videos help your learning! Best wishes for your new life in Japan! Wishing you all the happiness and your future to be filled with wonderful experiences!! 😊
I really appreciate the English subtitles, the slow pronunciation of the words, and the cute animation 🥹🥹😭❤️ Thank you for helping us the beginner level folks 🙏🏻❤️❤️
These videos are fantastic! I’m at a beginner-intermediate level of Japanese, so these are PERFECT! Not too beginner and not too advanced. I’m able to learn a ton every video without getting confused. ありがとう!
I've been studying Japanese for about 100 days now. While I definitely couldnt understand the whole conversation yet without waiting for subtitles, Im just SO SO happy I was able to understand a good chunk of it, especially a lot of the vocab and some of the verb conjugation, etc. I absolutely LOVE Japanese and Japan. My life dream to move there and work and stay for a good while if I can someday... and assimilate as much as possible into the culture.
I am happy to understand Midori😂 he's all the japanese I need for now 😊 I'm studying for fun and to keep my mind active since I'm on my mid 50's❤ Domo Arigato gozaimasu ❤❤❤
I'm so so so so grateful for your videos. They help us, Japanese learners, so so much, you have no idea! Please continue creating them, they're amazing. You have a great talent ♡
I'm glad RUclips recommended your channel. I am learning Japanese (only 10 days in) and am watching a few video stories to complement my lessons which are slow but at the right speed for me. So I understood almost nothing here but it helps to hear how the language is spoken, see words in context, and hear the explanations on language and grammar. I'll keep returning to your channel to hear more Japanese stories and hopefully, one day, I will understand more. Thank you!
@@elisabethohk4989 Sure. I am using Duolingo for lessons vocab and introduction to the language, and complementing it with Tae Kim's Guide to Learning Japanese (this is a well-known resource that has step by step lessons, general guides and tips). For immersion and also general language and grammar tips, I use Japarrot and JapanesePod101. Finally, for writing, I use Tofugu as I find their lessons better than Duolingo (they also have a quiz site I use to test my Hiragana). Tofugu is also really great for learning more about Japanese culture and society. When I feel more fluent, I will try online lessons with a tutor, such as on Italki or LiveXP (not sure which one but I have friends who have used both and recommend them). Hope this helps!
This is so helpful! I've learned Japanese for a while, I know many grammar and words, but when I go to restaurants or conbini, I react like I've never learned Japanese. Those sentences didn't show in my textbooks. I'm so happy to know this channel.
Thanks alot Japarrot! I tend to get sleepy while learning. Your videos are so cheerful. I love learning from them. I had bad experiences when I first tour to Japan due not knowing culture and language. I want to remedy that since I will come again this April. Yeay yeay
Thank you so much for your comment and feedback! 🙏 Thank you for putting the effort into learning Japanese! I hope you have a wonderful time in Japan in April! 😊
I e been trying to learn Japanese for over a year, and found these videos very recently. It has accelerated my learning because of the practicality, key words and phrases, engaging characters and clarity / repetition. Thank you for making language learning fun!
Great work Japarrot! ❤❤❤I really love the drawing and the humour. Your channel comes with elements to teach about the culture of Japan too. (Tatami in this video). This channel is one of a kind and really makes learning Japanese fun. Keep up the good work! Do hope that you can come out with a book to teach Japanese. More than willing to pay a fee for your content!

I just want to say thank you for making these videos. They're so cute and helpful. I love Midori chan's adventures and how funny some of the situations are. Definitely helping me stay motivated!!

So happy there is a new video, Thank you so much! It's very informative and fun! And thank you for the pdf too :) I feel like learning Mars language too now ^^
What an amazing YT channel! I love the form of short anime stories with the vocab easy to follow, and the recap and the explanations! Please keep it up! 🎉🤗
I love these!!!! Best way to learn in my case versus memorizing vocabulary. Sometimes, you just fake it until you make it... I don't wanna think about making profound sentences, I just wanna get by with everyday interactions. Also, great job on the story! Informative, and entertaining. As a poor person, I was panicking for Midori-san on how they're paying for their meal!!! Glad it all turned out ok! :) おつかれさまでした!!!
Thanks for this amazing lesson!! I really appreciate these as immersion is the best way to pick up any language. I have a question though, at 9:17 they say お願いします without で infront of it, is this because the question didn't include a choice like "Would you like option A or B?"
Thank you for the video! 😊🌻 I would like to ask about the usage of "と" as "or" in the choices of this or that in this video ("ホットとアイス" etc).... usually "or" is taught to be "か" and "と" to be "and". Why the "と" here for "or", and how to know which one to choose?
Thank you for your question! 'N1とN2、どちらになさいますか?' uses the similar sentence pattern you learn in N5: 'N1 と N2 (と) どちらが Adjective ですか' ( Which one is more Adj., N1 or N2?) i.e. 東京 (とうきょう)と 大阪(おおさか) と どちらが好(す)きですか。 (Which do you like better, Tokyo or Osaka?) This sentence pattern is often used when you ask someone to choose between two things (N1 & N2), with the accompanying interrogative 'どちら'. The second 'と' after N2 is often omitted in the conversational Japanese, but the sentence with 'と' is the grammatically correct one, and you see in the textbook. You can remember that when you use the interrogative' どちら' (used when comparison is made between two things), you will use 'と' to mark 'N1 and N2' (options to be chosen). 👍
I really want to know what the Japanese (manager) would do if the Martian hadn’t arrived and decided to treat midori and Billie.. Would she make them wash the dishes or bring out a Katana?😂
