Hi! You’re never too old or young for anything! I did it for the experience not knowing if I was going to like it or not but I love it! I do wanna convince you that getting a class A license will show you how much you really are capable of! There’s many different jobs you can get too even if it is that ready mix isn’t your thing. I’m going to post a “pros and cons” video about my job this week, I want you to watch it if you can because you will get a better understanding if you would want to drive a concrete mixer! If not I still suggest you to get your license because you can do other jobs as a driver! ❤️
Much respect...I drove a front dump concrete truck for a few years and the hurry up and wait part of the job killed it. Was fun going off road to pour footings and walls, but the pump pours were so boring and dull I just couldn't wait to be done and play with the water.

Darn scary road, to say it was narrow is an understatement.love your videos. I used to haul single axle class 8 dump hauling a 10 ton trailer hauling an 8 ton backhoe on narrow country roads. I still have nightmares thinking about those trips. I like your confidence. You are a great truck driver and I like your smooth shifting. Girl you found your dream job.
The one thing I never understood about trucks, is why some of them go really slow. It wasn't until I started driving coast to coast and driving through every mountain range, driving in extremely bad weather, driving through turns, curves, backing, blindspots, congestion etc., that speed and space were the only things I could control and the primary reasons to cause an accident, if I failed to control them properly.
I had no idea how much I would enjoy Lexie driving her truck and being such a positive influence on the world of working! Thank you Lexie, you're an inspiration! Also, your video editing skills just keep getting better. I love the Mario coin sounds at the end when you collected up your cones haha! 🍄

To help get behind the fins. Starting at the front, turn your hose to the top of the drum and work it down along the wall between the fins as the drum turns. The water will go thru the holes and run down the backside of the fin. Won't get it all but if done right, you'll get maybe the front quarter to third of the drum
I got some of those little cones at the 99cent store many years ago and they held up very well outside in the California sun. The orange color did fade away and they are more of a pink-white color now, but the plastic is still good and not cracked. You will get many years of use out of them and they don't take up much space in the truck either.

I have the same lever on my truck.. be careful over time the lever might not fully go back to “closed” we’ve had guys just let go of it and the water was still going into the drum

Hey Lexie. Huge fan here . Amazing thing your doing. Most of your generation hates the word work and you picked a hard one. A few sugetions if you like. Get a go pro and learn how to edit. There are plenty of youtube channels that can help you. Look at this channel like a way to show everyone how concrete truck driver have to do all day every day. Try some hyperlapse and last maybe try get couple a videos a week. Your a positive young lady and keep that great smile and atitude at the top. There are going to be haters and trolls along the way, dont give into that. Ignore is the best option. Congrats on your channel and good luck.

Very cool 🔥🤘🏻💀🤘🏻🔥. I used to live in Rowland Heights California. 12:57 reminds me of Colima Road in Hacienda Heights going up and the road gets smaller going up that looks like a 2 way bicycle lane. It could be sketchy at night because there would be drift cars going down all fast down that road at night but I know it would get super dark at night up in Colima rd.
Kudos to you for driving a large commercial vehicle. I drive commercial buses on a daily and driving a 40-50 foot behemoth around tight corners and congested streets is not easy. BYW, you are a cutie.
I've only seen one mixer in my life that didn't have pusher axles and it was a city owned truck. All of the mixers I have worked on at least have one pusher but most had 2 drop axles plus the booster axle. Maybe where she is there's stricter weight limits.
I agree with you on the size of the house. I always think like if someone broke in on the other side of the house you wouldn't even be able to hear it lol
Here a thought 2x2 inch square plate bolt up the front of drum roller ,you buy one of those cameras that builders has that look in a wall or down the drain,they have a torch inbuilt,light,anyway,undo the little patch of 2x2 and stick the telescope in then you can see built up of concrete,just a suggestion ❤.

9:46 I don’t know if you have ever had Honey Crisp apples? They’re crispy haha go figure and they’re really juicy and sweet with a unique flavour and incredibly delicious. I would definitely recommend trying them if you have them in your local vegetable and fruit market. Other great crispy, sweet and juicy apples are Pink Lady apples, Gala and Red Delicious apples. Look into adjustable telescoping watering wand to help clean hard to reach spots in the drum
