Hello, a work vlog video will be posted next week so don’t worry! I didn’t have enough time to film this week but I hope you guys are open to this different content. Have a great weekend!💌
I love how you take really good care of your stuff. It shows that you appreciate the things you've worked so hard for. I've even noticed that in your work videos like when you painted the rust on the truck. Really enjoy these videos Lexie
haha the genuine pleasing smile when she removed the oil filter is priceless. i remember when i taught my younger sister how to change oil herself on her vw golf for the first time. she was so proud of herself and then just like that her face changed and she realized how much she was spending on maintenance when she could of been doing it herself hahahaha. i'll never forget that day and conversation after.
After getting an oil change for your BMW M2, I swear I heard it purr in appreciation. It's as your car is saying, "Ah, finally, a spa day!" With its newfound zest, it practically glides down the road, reminding me that even the sleekest machines need a little TLC. Now, I’m convinced my M2 deserves its own pampering session more often-maybe next time, a wax and polish too! hahaha.
Super proud of you doing that yourself!! Not a lot of ladies would be down to change their own oil. You're an exceptional woman & any content from you would be interesting! Love it ❤
Good job :) The first oil chainge is always the scariest one, after that its routine! Just one tip: You dont need to clean the oil filter housing. If you want to do it please use some cloth type fabric. The blue paper rolls tend to rip off small pieces (we actually had to replace a whole engine cuz a mechanic used them to clean a stripped engine
Great content and great to see changing your own oil, I try to teach my daughters the basics on their cars and how to check fluids , open hood , where spare tire is . One catches on but the other goes in one ear and out the other
Great Job!! You Got This! You Go Girl, It’s A Lot Easier Then Most People Think!!! BTW; Thank You For Using Safety Jacks And Not Just Trusting The Floor Jack! Look How Clean That Oil Is.
Just watched your video, it’s always nice to change the oil yourself, as you are guaranteed it’s done properly. Also you are a very kind person for tipping the service person!
All the way from the Great North, I would like to say that it's cool seeing a new type of video. It's awesome seeing a cool, gorgeous woman doing her own sh*t!😊
For the dust on the dash and back seats, use a microfiber towel and a brush. Use a brush to agitate dust, then vacuum. Be careful with the dash. Use a soft bristle brush to avoid scratches.
*F87 fam here from Boston!* 😊 *I would recommend putting one quart of oil in the oil filter housing next time. SLOWLY pour the oil in or it will overflow. I've got the M2 Competition with the S55.*
Great video Lexie!! I've been wrenching my cars, mostly Mercedes, for 40+ years and you did remarkably well for your first oil change! It's usually a hazmat event for the first time LOL. Great choice of fluids too, German cars love the LiquiMoly!
They got this gel/putty stuff at autozone for the vents, most newer rides have little rubber inserts in the cup holder, easy removal for cleaning. Good job on the oil change..
in New Zealand if you buy new tyres from a shop you get free puncture repair for the life of the tyres. keep up the good work, love your meticulous book keeping of your records! its obviously a traits learnt from home and it makes life so much easier from being organised with lunches to laundry to everything. to clean interior of your car use a small funnel with a long flexible tip and put your vacuum cleaner inside the funnel. it will make the perfect high powered vacuum for those nooks and crannies.
Great Job on doing your own oil. And when you buy nice tires, the tire shop usually has "Road Hazard" for your tires. That's basically a warranty for your tires. Can be replaced or patched at no cost and free lifetime balance + rotation as long as you get it done at the same shop you bought the tires from. But the replacement is usually up to like 70% wear on the tires.
Good job... Things I do differently: I use cardboard instead of plastic to lay on. I change oil every 5k miles rather than wait for the recommended miles. Oil is cheap. Engines are expensive. Check/replace air and cabin filters with the oil change. I use leather cleaner/conditioner to keep the leather nice and supple. Use a soft brush to get into those crevices. Clean the seats every week to keep the grime from sinking in. I use Chemical Guys Leather Air Scent odor eliminator. Makes the car smell like new leather, and it eliminates rather than covering up the smell with live enzymes. Use Green Clean putty to get into the vents and cup holders. Finally, never rub the dust on the paint. It can scratch the clear coat.
Awesome job Lexie. I have learned so much from your videos. I thought about driving a cement truck but after watching your vids I think I’ll stick with Frito Lay.
Good job on the oil change. It was very nice of your brother to help you out and observe while you did all the labor discount tire does all tire repairs for free as long as the tire matches their safety standards so try discount tire. In the future for tire repairs, I’ve been using discount tire for over 50 years. The best.
to clean out the gunk in your leather seats and vents is easy. you can buy cleaning putty which looks like slime and push it into the creases of your seats and air vents. you can also just buy any old soft paint brush and use that as well with a small vacuum hose to suck up any loose debris.
I just pumped the oil out thru the oil fill tube (2004 325 XI). Just a hand pump from Harbor Freight. So much easier then messing with jacks and crawling under car which is dangerous. It does get all of the old oil out. Put 280,000 on that car. Still running strong till a deer took it out. So have no fears that this is not a good way. A lot of BMW owners do it this way.
Thank you, and you’re right I think they should teach this stuff in school, (how to… changing a tire, change oil, wash clothes, do taxes, build credit, etc) lol
@@lexflowaz it would be nice my driving school taught me that but I'm a 90s kid. Either way I really like your channel and I definitely will be on the list to send you something but I'm a goofball so it will probably be funny lol.
This video was a nice change of pace. I love how meticulous you are about everything you do. You're always prepared with the tools/knowledge even if it's your first time doing something. I know you feel about a dirty vehicle. My black Mazda speed3 is the worst to keep clean lol...although I enjoy the grind to keep it clean. I'm still hoping to see that Candy Cane question in your next work video! Keep smiling pretty lady 😊
Couple of things, first of all, you are one smart girl, you just saved hundreds of dollars by doing that yourself compared to if you took it to BMW. Also, you have a beautiful concrete driveway, of course you would have tinted concreted, but just from that you must have a beautiful home. Your family has taught you well. Thirdly at 7K miles, that M2 is new, congrats, you show that if you work hard you can pay for nice things. You are very wise girl for your age, your parents should be proud! I knew that about the little tree, I like the basic Vanillaroma for my car. Look at you becoming a vlogger! Nice job!
Thank you for your comment! I love everything you said! And that’s true, a lot of people think I buying my car was a mistake which I know it isn’t a smart one either but it does teach you to be on time with paying every month! Have a great day
This may not mean much but I'm so proud of you kiddo! great job. keep it up. also get a mini tripod for your camera. Glad you didnt drop the bolt/plug like I usually do. I had to fish for it later.
Great job and good on you for learning. I work in a dealership and one tip for you would be use shop rags instead of paper towels especially when wiping inside the filter housing. Paper towels can tear easy and the fibres come off, you do not want any paper going through an engine. Trust me! Looking forward to your next video. 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
I use to have black truck but now have white AWD. White color vehicles easier to keep outside clean Black cars,, the surface dust/dirt & streaks are very visible & more work to maintain. That's cool ... 'variety' content with this video you posted! 👍 😎
And don't apologize about being busy,, you work harder then most 2 men do. Do you and make your videos when you can... Your subs aren't ever going to leave you girl.. hasta Mejia... Trent s
Good job being safe and using jack stands. Doing these its easy to get complacent and just lift the car with a floor jack but all it takes is one time for a accident to happen. We had a dude in our city who was working on his car just using the scissor jack that came with his car. Jack broke and collapsed on him. He passed away. :/
Your one bad ass chick and so smart beyond your years some of your outlooks on life took me almost 40 yrs to grasp tha concept of keep up tha awesome videos
for the exterior, i use turtle wax hybrid solutions ceramic wash and wax. It cleans and leaves the car protected in one step. You can actually see the water beading, which is so satisfying 😂
Great job!! 2 things to help, check that big container, I think it's, 5.28 quarts, also another good thing to do is when your done, just start it, and see of there are any leaks, before you drive off. Oh, and no, it is not a good idea to overfill the oil. I am so happy to see your videos, and you doing things for yourself.
Wow, Lexie you even do your own oil change, good on you. I take my truck to Firestone 😢 lol. You’re putting the average guy to shame. Thanks for Sharing… p.s. very nice Whip!
If you haven’t already figured it out. You can use one those air pressure blowers like they have in the trucks to get dust and debris off you. They have them next to vacuums at the self car washes.
Good Job on the oil change...! I used to do it on my previous VW cars, but I had a hard time trying to find a local store (Autozone) to take the used oil. Now I just take my car to my trusted mechanic near my work. I drop it off in the morning and walk to the office.
Q-tips work really well when detailing around the dash vents and will also work well in the grooves in the seat if you have them wet to remove those little specks of white stuff.
Hey Lexie, For the detailing on the paint try a clay bar kit, polish and wax, you can use and interior cleaner for the dash, trim etc... leather conditioner cleaner for the seats, also get a little soft brush to loosen the stuff in the seat lines the hit it with the leather cleaner conditioner... I like the ultimate line from Meg uiars , had to put a space in the brand name so it is not spam... good work...
I know America’s Tire and a few other tire shops will patch the tire for free. Independent tire shops usually charge an average of about $15. When i worked for the lexus dealership tire patches were like 42 cents which is why they’re able to do it for free. If charged you’re mainly paying for the labor.
That car is definitely you and you are owning the maintenance on it . A lot of people just say I don't know how to do that kind of stuff or i don't wanna get oil on my hands etc... but you belong with that car . Have a great day doll :))🥰
my only recommendation and its probably just a me thing, but i always do my oil change with a engine that is up to temperature. i go to the store get a drink then on the way back do a couple rips up to redline to move around all the oil and get it flowing. drains easier and i feel (just an opinion) gets more consistent amount of contaminated oil out.
Holy cow. A woman changing the oil? I think you may be the 5th American girl to ever change oil. Keep it up. Great to see people actually doing something in life.
Hi Lexi a little tip if you don't mind. Always checking the box the filter comes in to make sure your gaskets are in there before taking the ones off. I have had them not be in the box.
You are awesome. I hope this video and other videos you’ve posted inspires other women. You are a very independent woman. Keep doing what you’re doing!
Get some good leather cleaner (Gyeon) and a brush you can connect to hand held drill for your seats. Once cleaned, take a microfiber towel and wipe excess. Gyeon has a mild and strong cleaner, depending on how dirty leather is.
Just always research or ask others how to do something before you attempt it. Try to understand what the dangers are and how you can avoid injuries and death before committing to anything. Be honest about your limitations and rely on professionals when you understand that something is above your pay grade. 🤗
Audi guy here. I am not familiar with M2 for oil changing. However, if there is a dip stick tube on engine (likely won't have a dip stick but a plastic cap) then you should be able to use a vacuum evacuator to remove the engine oil from the top of engine compartment. Way easier, no jacks, ramps and crawling under car. I can change the oil in my car from start to finish in less than 30 minutes without getting dirty. Initial purchase of around $100 is worth it.
First, SAMBA life :) So props to your bro - you could hear he sounds super chill and has patience while he is teaching/helping out. I taught my daughter to do her car stuff, and now she teaches her man haha.
Hello, a work vlog video will be posted next week so don’t worry! I didn’t have enough time to film this week but I hope you guys are open to this different content. Have a great weekend!💌
Actually they usually include free tire repair and tire rotations at most tire shops where you purchased the tires 😊
Oh dang I have been driving a cement truck for a few months now and I watch your work videos for pointers and inspiration see you next week😊
Gurl…show more off work vibes…eats, drinks, shopping! 😉
Anything with you in it… We good 🤠
loved it. u a baddie for that. one tip is you can pump the car up faster by lifting the jack handle higher.
12:21 if you tip the jug sideways the flow comes out smooth without all that gulping of the oil.
I love how you take really good care of your stuff. It shows that you appreciate the things you've worked so hard for. I've even noticed that in your work videos like when you painted the rust on the truck. Really enjoy these videos Lexie

As a 23 yr old man who has never done an oil change myself, I’d say you did a really good job 👏🏼 lol

Awesome job 👍🏼. FYI lots of places offer free tire repair and rotation when you buy from them. Change your oil when the oil is hot.
Great Job on doing your own oil. And when you buy nice tires, the tire shop usually has "Road Hazard" for your tires. That's basically a warranty for your tires. Good job taking care of your car.. keep it up! Bro, helping you was awesome.
Great job and it’s nice to see a girl that’s not afraid to get dirty and do some maintenance on her car. Congratulations
🤣, Hi !! Lexie, the oil looks good I don't know on how many miles you change the oil. The best is now you know, good work. 👍
Good job...

Wow thank you for letting me know your secrets, Ima take all that into considerations, I as well do my oil change every 5k miles. Thank you again!
A lot of shops here in Kansas do free repairs if you buy your tires from that place. Great job on the oil change. Love your concrete content. 💙
20:50 wow, a classic scent. Royal Pine...one of the best.
My favorite!! Smells like earth 😍

Thanks for the great tutorial now I feel confident to change the oil in my car.
U took that bolt off like a champ. Great work. 👍🏾
I changed my own oil on all the BMWs I ever owned. I liked the filter on the top of the engine. Much less messy.
Whenever I have had to patch up my tires they almost never charged me. I always gave them a tip (the installer). Very nice of you Lexie.
This is dope that you show your normal life from work to home and not mind you doing it on your own
This may not mean much but I'm so proud of you kiddo! great job. keep it up. also get a mini tripod for your camera.
Glad you didnt drop the bolt/plug like I usually do. I had to fish for it later.
The fact she has a heart pillow in the background…❤
You can always use a little water and a microfiber towel for a quick interior clean( i personally use a diluted mix of all-purpose cleaner)
Great job and good on you for learning. I work in a dealership and one tip for you would be use shop rags instead of paper towels especially when wiping inside the filter housing. Paper towels can tear easy and the fibres come off, you do not want any paper going through an engine. Trust me! Looking forward to your next video. 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦

Yeah, around here, America's Tires does free tire patches for tires purchased through their store.
I've found that natural boars hair brushes work really well for seat crevices. A felt vent cleaning tool is definitely worth picking up too
Lexie that’s the way to go don’t wait for no one ,it is great to see you making your own oil change on your 🚘 , take care and be safe out there.
for the exterior, i use turtle wax hybrid solutions ceramic wash and wax. It cleans and leaves the car protected in one step. You can actually see the water beading, which is so satisfying 😂
