Harlequin suit, leather jacket, ballet pumps, thick eyeliner and heavy blush. And an ass that won't quit, even into the mid 80's. Man, woman, bi, gay, old young educated and not all loved Freddie. He just transcended, he was mesmerizing. So glad I was a teen when they started getting hits, their music was everywhere and everyone loved it. Even my my Puerto Rican Dad. This older stuff is just awesome.
This was Freddie (for me) at his utmost sublime in 76,77 & 78,..................I enjoyed watching him develop his stage craft; 74, 75 a mystical winged messenger, 76,77,78 he ditched the stacks & stuck on the ballet shoes; a balletic, rocking & pouting Shirley Bassey/Lisa; 79,80, an agressive macho rocker; 81,82, a funk rocker; 84 a mixture of all & 86 a stadium icon. Freddie addressed the masses on the Magic Tour, Queens most successful tour, but for me Queen LIVE was the 70's, by far.
Omg,this was amazing! Queen's music is like pure natural ecstacy, man! And that drum solo,f***ing excellent! They're the greatest band in history, now and forever...R.I.P Farrokh Bomi Bulsara, you're a wonderful, smart and beautiful man, inside and out! Damn, that was such a wonderful performance!
Absolutly I had no idea that the sound engineer used a phaser for the tone of his toms and cymbals at any point during queens career Im sure Rogs admiration of Bonzo had something to do with this Great effects =)
Freddie designed this right back at the start, he had been to art school. There's 2 Lions for the Leos in the band, 2 fairies for the Virgo (Freddie of course), and supposedly a Crab for the Cancer, but I cant' find that in it myself. If you google Queen logo, I'm sure you'll find more info.
Roger Taylor was a damn GOD on the drums.
How about that drum solo? And he did put more cowbell in!
Every time it's a little bit different. I love that!
Was?
My all time favorite drum solo by any drummer... period!!!!!
I've seen quite a few Queen shows, and their stuff from the 70's was simply amazing.
Oh, great - now I'm jealous! ;)
Where did you see them?
2:34 qué hermosa forma de modular la voz por parte de Freddie, algo tan breve es imposible de hacer para cualquiera de esos "cantantes" actuales
masterful especially Roger!!

Only he could play with Freddie and his demands.

Aside from We Are The Champions, this is the only complete video-recorded live song in 1978 for Queen
Oh time machine... please take me back to the 70's!
20 Years gone..... R.I.P. Freddie Mercury.
The Greatest Rock Frontman, ever.
Great. This was my first Queen Live concert.
I remember as yesterday.
That's nice! I know it's unlikely, butnare there any chances you've got an audio recording of the complete show? It would be great, cheers.
