- This really is a must-know life-saving motorcycle steering technique that you should know, irrespective of whether you are a rider or not. Though counter steering may sound like a new technique, it is actually something we have been doing all the time unintentionally. I will help you understand it so that you can do it intentionally, take control of it, and use it to your advantage to quickly get out bad situations.
This steering technique is pretty simple to do but slightly complicated to understand (the physics behind it). But I'm sure new motorcycle riders will find it very useful. Next time you go on your motorcycle try this technique (intentionally).

Almost right. "Push" towards the direction you want to turn. If you want to turn left, push left side handle forward.
WOW!!!! I found this video very interesting, but not for the topic (as your Meghalaya series had already introduced me to this topic). What I found really amazing was the amount of effort you have taken to explain a complex-to-understand theory, in a not-so-complex way. That too in Tamil! Yes, I did visit the physics-behind-it link, and then watched this video for the second time. And that's what made me formulate my observation into a comment. Also, I think, explaining a concept related to steering while riding on a relatively busy road is not easy. Doing the same thing on an open, traffic less road or on a race track would be easier. Great job buddy 🤘🏼

Actually you are already doing it bro. It is not possible to turn in speeds without counter steering. It's just that learning it properly will help in conciously applying it in emergencies. Because in emergencies we forget what we usually do and our brain acts weird and we tend to turn the steering in the direction we want to, but we should be turning in the opposite direction.
So it is not only safe, but its the only safe way to turn at higher speeds

"Push" is the right term for this kind of motorcycle with straight handle bars.. Press is appropriate for sport motorcycles which what handlebars like R15. Thank you for commenting though.

Many (if not most) motorcycle riders believe that they do not counter-steer at parking lot speeds, even if they do at higher speeds. But the reality is that you must counter-steer at all speeds - or fall.
