He was talking...and his voice sounds a little deeper than normal for a 20 year old, then he starts singing...and hes 60 year old country legend. This kids going far.
I hope he sticks around. Been listening to him for a while now and just recently learned we're only 5 months apart in age. Never would have guessed he was 20 when he recorded the song. His voice is much lower than the average 20 year old. Hoping he tours near me in the next few years. The closest he'll be this time around is 6.5 hours away.
Or ur studio sucks lol. Jk these buskers kick ass and Colter is fucking amazing. I like metal...rap...every gd thing. Colter really speaks to me....hes kinda like old country revival a bit
After Colter was done singing that absolute masterpiece, the dude driving’s response was “great….that was awesome.” And he said it like it was the 25th take or something. Dudes jaw should have been on the floorboard.
Colter, to this day, is one of my favorite artist I’ve ever seen live. He surely not produced, he’s all natural & his voice is so pure. By that I mean he sounds just like his recordings, live. I was fortunate enough to see him on tour with Cody Jinks & it was an amazing night.
Love me some Colter Wall! I have only recently discovered this talent. Young man with an old soul. Listening to his music, it is a great blend of rockabilly, country, and western swing. Actually, it sounds pretty good inside the car. Wow!
@@TM-pq1qv bluegrass? Do you even know what bluegrass is? He is mostly folk. Never heard him do a single bluegrass song. Name me one, maybe i am wrong.
It's Cowboy music. He's worked on a couple Ranch's on a Cowboy Crew Fulltime & Daywork. Cowboy's are horseback working cows on ranch out WES. NOT FOLK, & BLUEGRASS. OUTLAW COUNTRY. Country is South crap they ain't cowboys😊

That ain’t nothing to rural GA, here in Meriwether county the public works can’t get funding, my dad works on the rod crew, he’s about the only one who does his job and they just about can’t get the asphalt to patch with, and the city streets are a whole other animal, the main road out of Manchester has had a 2 foot dip in it for about a year now where they didn’t fill it right after fixing a water line, and it goes across the entire road so there’s no dodging it.
Hey there from the nation's capital city Ottawa ! 1st time hearing this young fella just now. I like it ! Gotta hear some more of that. Thanks for caring and for sharing Jeff :D
I would like to draw your attention to the fact that Joe Rogan has a video that he says he’s been trying to colter on the show for a year… and This Jeff guy is driving him around in Moncton N.B. 😆
Yo this was amazing. At times it looked like he was nervous and not gonna hit with such emphasis but then his guitar and voice would open up like Highway 61 in early July.
when your radio it's broken, but you have a colter wall in your car
Lmfao
Looool

I've spent the last 6hrs searching around the inside of my truck and I have yet to find that "Colter Wall button" :(
Yeah, best bad day ever

I sure hope so! I have a feeling he won't fall for the bs flash of stardom. He seems too genuine. No pretension.

He has an incredible voice
@@traidun6444, much of it is from whiskey and smoking. I love me some Colter. :)
And then he's from Canada, not an old hardened criminal from the American South.
When you sound the same moving in the back seat of a car, as you do in a Million Dollar studio, You’re a STAR!!!
Right?! How does it sound that amazing in a vehicle 😱
Good comment, great observation!!
You are exactly right!

Potholes.
Hes 20 but has been smoking and drinking whiskey for 60 years lol definitely my favorite new singer.

Well Tyler got religion but I'll throw in Chris Knight-Down The River

I'm 33 and still struggling to even play one song on the guitar (it ain't easy)

Would love to have this man sing in my car during my trips and whisper in my ear. Beautiful man, beautiful voice - reminds me of Tom Waits.
This guy has raw talent beyond the norm
Colter Wall is already a legend!
True talent. im a black dude loving his music.
He's awesome and authentic. I think that is why he has appeal throughout.
Cool! I love it too.
Yes
I love how every time I hear him play this song it is slightly different.
He's got the blues.
He used to do the blues, then switched over to more bluegrass style

Colter please wear a seatbelt, it would be a disservice to the world of music if we lost you

Hard to play the guitar while buckled in. Besides, he's a ranch boy from southwest Canada.

Did you have any idea that in 5 years you’d have 220k views of this ride? Such a great capture of CW. Thanks for doing this Jeff!

What's for breakfast Colt? "Road spikes and sandpaper with some whiskey and cigar ash to chase'r down"
I always had an itch he was referring to Robert Johnson
Same, I felt so good when he said I was right 😂
Wow this is ridiculous……imagine sounding this aged at 20. We’ve been waiting for you from Appalachia to the Rockies!!
Bald butte and Johnny boys bones are my favorites by him
He couldnt do that in NY, he'd be slamming his head off the roof of the car because of the pot holes, let alone playing that guitar.
Dan Sherwood Think N.Y. is bad, try Boston Mass the bumpy roads.. Potholes and bumps every where, even the suburban outskirts.
