    I love that attack move update. i keep messing up a move when im in an enemy base

      same i dont use it often i try to but in combat it still does single atack focus cause u do Q atack move but it still clicks a units or a building its so anoying i just want it to attack all waht is around

    The Early Horseman buff for mongols is actually pretty good. Rushing horsemen seems to become a viable option instead of the boring tower rush.

      how about "Iberians" and you choose a Muslim, Catholic, western and eastern style. Either intercultural for a balanced approach or monoculture for more specialisation

    I feel like mongol deer stones should give you a buff to hunted animal gather rate or something. This would work well with the mobile nature of the civ and make the deer stone more versatile. Plus mongol does need some kind of eco buff i think

    I believe (and I hope) that these changes are mild on purpose, where the next patch will be the bigger one, hopefully nerfing Eng, Byz, HRE, etc and buffing civs like JD or OOTD.

    I'd assume the information leak in FoW part,;
    If you've got the map explored (so no FoW?) and you try to build a mining camp on a mine, but there's one spot where you can't build it, it means the enemy has a building there, so you know they've got villagers there..?

    21:20 that is not true, is it? You still need your eco buildings within the influence which your docks might not provide for mill and lumber camp (Most certainly not in dark age)

    I have a question about your opinion about the Mongol Mangudai.
    For context: I played AoE4 when it came out and was mongol main and loved Mangudais (in castle age, feudal they sucked) and reach even top 100 global leader with it, so iam by far no expert but I think I also shouldnt have basic missunderstandings of the unit. Then i stoped playing and now I came back to the Game and Mangudai feeled very weak. then I checked their patch history and by what i understood:
    They made them attack even faster then before (and they already did attack very fast), but reduced their dmg, which makes them terrible vs any unit with armor (Knights/ M@a) but as effective against units with 0 Base armor (Math wise, its like ~ 8% better or so vs 0 armor and useles vs armor)
    Now to my question:
    Why did the devs do this and do you think they should change it?
    Personally I think moving Shia Bowlimg (the mangudai dmg upgrade) from Castle Age to Imp is the biggest problem with that.
    Mangudai when i palyed were already bad in feudal age, but then became good in Castle age bcs they gained 2 dmg (7/9/10 dmg vs 5/6/8 nowadays) and you could research Shia bowlimb for extra dmg.
    Now that they have no dmg at all, basicly also not having this upgrade seems wrong.
    Ofc another solution would be to just buff their dmg in castle age by 1, but if people are afraid this could make them to good in early castle i feel like just making shia bow limb a castle age tech again might be a good call. And it also could open up a possible strategy in which you rush improved shia bow limb to make mangudai even strong in castle age, by investing the heavy stone cost.
    The sad thing is in Imp the unit even feels viable, bcs the elite upgrade gives +2 and it also can get shia bow limb. but the castle age upgrade only gives 1 dmg. I think switching that, so that castle age upgrade gives +2 dmg and imp one gives 1 and / or moving shia bow limb to castle age would be needed to make the unit viable again. what do you think?
    its a very cool unit design wise so its sad to see it in such a bad state.
    You said yourself its a garbage unit. So i assume you also think mangudai need a buff.
    So what do you think of the things I said and what would you suggest would be a good solution to make the Unit viable again before imp in castle age.
    (Side note: I dont think the units is completly unusable: I like making 1-3 in feudal age to harras vills at gold mines/ berrys/ wood lines, but apart from that it doesnt feel more then anoying atm before imp. and mongols are a momentum civ so a strong castle age seems important to me.)

      I think Mangudai should deal more damage while not moving. That would hopefully make them greater in battles, while still retaining their niche use of making a drive by through the enemy economy and trade.
      Problem is if Mangudai do both at the same time, they become a nightmare to play against. I don't envy the developers, it is a hard unit to balance.

      They nerfed them because of team games they are only viable in imp with all their upgrades. The main issue is that they cost to much for what they do, they need to cost as much as rus horse archers or horsemen. 60 food 40 gold or 100 food 20gold. Then they would actualy be usable in both team and 1v1 games without being busted. Or the keep the cost and give them bonus damage against light units

      @@qwerty222999 well then you still can easiyl fix that by either giving mangudai negativ bonus dmg vs vils (do less dmg vs vils) or giving them a bonus dmg against heavy armored units (like knights and m@a), as they do more or less the same bonus dmg against no armor units like archer, crossbow and spearman, but onyl tickle knights and maa. and that is bad atm, as a mobile kiting unit should be able to kit and counter slower heavy armor units, but amt they can just ignore their dmg.
      with a change like that archer and horse man would still hard counter mangudais, but they would be usefull and not wreck vils to much.
      also the big problem seems to be castle age. imp they are fine. buzt moving the dmg up from 7/9/10 (+2 in castle) to 5/6/8 (only +1 in castle and the +2 in imp) is probably the biggest problem. most of the game isnt played in imp.

      @@202adr tbh I think their cost is fine bcs of their utility. being able to shot while running is great.
      The problem is that they are only balanced in imperial age atm, cbs they removed the dmg in castle age. they lost a total of 2 dmg in imp (from 10 to 8), but a total of 4/5 dmg in castle age (9 base dmg before and shiva bowlimb in castle, which means 10 with normal and 11 with stone upgrade vs 6 dmg now, as the upgrade is also imp now).
      Either move the shia bowlimb upgrade back to castle age or remove the upgrade at all and give them better stats in castle age and maybe instead an upgrade that only increases their dmg vs armored target if the devs are afriad of their dmg vs vils/archer/ spears.
      But personally I wouldnt make them so weak vs nona rmord target either imo.
      its a nice playstyle to play knights + mangudai, with the mangudais killing spearman/ crossbow and knights the rest. but atm this isnt possible as an enemy going knights or maa just makes the mangudai useles in the team comp as even vs maa+ spear the mangudai wont kil the spears, bcs they fire far to long at the maa doing no dmg by what I have seen.
      (keep in mind: all i say is about castle age. imp they are fine. and feudal they have always been bad bcs shia bowlimb was a castle age tech so them being bad in feudal is also fine.).
      TLDR: Move shiw bowlimb again from imp to castle and make their dmg scaling 5/7/8 instead of 5/6/8 and I think it would fix the unit.

    if you do a crosslink table comparison of the sheep at 33:05 you will see that is is a slight nerf. Here are my calculations: 140(second) * 200(food) / 250 (food) = 112 second. conclusion in order for it to be equel as before it should be 112 second productiond time but since it is 116 second it means there is a 4 second nerf on the sheep for mongols. Feel free to fact check me.

    So what happens when Dehli is caping sacred sites on water maps? I guess one will have to chose to contest it or water.... If you let them have the sites, bad. If you let them have water, even worse

    i dont know why the devs never implement a "Hold position" button (the V button only make the unit stand still and dont attack even in sight/range). I mainly play Chinese, and the nest of bees wont auto attack if theres enemy in range. It will only starts attack if u attack move the ground. Which will cause it to chase the enemy and get exposed to enemy's springalds. I played Dota 2 b4, in dota, ur units can hold one position, it stand still and only attack if in range, but wont chase the target. This issue is making me constantly micro-ing my nest of bees, while simultaneously getting raid on the other hands. Things could have been far more simple if they implement it like in Dota

      @@qwerty222999 if u move, it moves without deploy. If u attack move, it will move then deploy (i think, even if it doesnt pre-deploy, only starts deploying when enemy in range), and attack if in range, but also will chase enemy. If u press V, it sits there like a statue. So why there's no move and deploy, attack in range BUT dont chase button?

      He already said he won't, because their are already a ton of experience players in AoM out there he would have to play catch-up. Thats also why he plays AoE4 and not AoE2.

    I don’t think that civs which sit in their base are bad in general. Always there are civs for boom, turtle and attack. I think it is already hard to play turtle in AOE4 and it can lead to turtle not be a b viable strategy.

    still cant believe
    there is no formations like aoe 2 , like box. Wedge is useless, and only loose/tight are usable. I had to use attack move on minimap most times so I wouldnt hit a building

    Which features are missing in Age 4 in your opinion?
    My friends prefer to play Age 2, but I like Age 4 because of the more different civs. But they don't want to play with me. Do you know why and why also many other people don't play Age 4?

      Because people do not want to reinvest all those hours to relearn civs and such. Also people have favourite civs that are not in aoe4.

    I was waiting for you to confirm mongol changes sucks yeah i think mangudai should cost 80 food 40 wood, and get 5 tiles range i dont care if they shoot wile moving but they can be so easily countered that it doesnt care. Im telling you.

    give us more civs already dammit i dont care about balance. some match ups on certain maps are unplayable for the pro scene anyways, move towards more fun, incentivize and cultivate community growth, and THEN balance. just give us semi unbalanced shet and well be happy with playing more civs :/

    This patch kinda sucks. Good for mali delhi and french but english and byz did not need nerfs. I guess we nerf based off how many people cry about it now

      English needs nerfs , they need to be a bad civ or at least 3 star civ. Until that is reached every second game is against them. I don't think that they are unbeatable but it is just annoying to play that often against them. Every time the same shit: Longbow rush or white Tower attack. Beasty should probably improve the reputation from less played civs. That would possible lead to more different match ups that will improve both players. And will bring more fun to the game.

      No they didn't. There are a good number of landmarks from the lowest performing civs that are never used or are just plan bad. Yet instead of balancing each civ to so they are like English in the sense there isn't a "bad" choice for each age up. Relic just drags a fun civ down. Id rather see them focus on making every civ have good landmark choices before nerfing things that were not a problem since release. Or making a landmark useless again for the sake of "balance". People would rather cry for a nerf than learn to play against them Ig.
