I love my main abyssid being D tier at everything
They really need to increase CA range from 3.5 to 4.5 (same as desert raiders). They'd still be countered by archers, garrison arrows, everything that counters them right now. But they wouldn't have literally half the range of longbows, and their dps density would be better because large models with a short range are inherently pretty poor.
They should in my view, cause horse archer style units to *only* receive incendiary, and not biology as well, to keep them around the same point in imperial. They should balance around all units only getting one uni tech.
And they really need to make CAs cheaper, to make them more useful earlier in the game. Desert raiders are far far more usable because they're 80-50-50, while CAs eat most of a sheep each. It's ridiculous how food expensive they are.
The loss of biology avoids the problem of them being overly supply efficient in imperial with the lower cost and higher range. And in feudal and castle there is no problem whatsoever with them being buffed like that.
@@simonkapadia7582 I agree camel archers being less food heavy to make them viable in feudal which is ironically their strongest age i.e .when you can't use them cause they are food heavy. In castle and imperial you can make better units (comp bow archer or handcannoneer) and they so I don't bother with them. I had this wind idea of keeping their stats the same and keeping the camel archer at 240 resources BUT make it 60 food and 180 wood. I really think that would shake things up a lot with abbasid. I don't think they should cost gold then it would be easier to macro for them.

the video needs to be renamed to "Unique Tier List That Pertains to Less Than 1% of the People That Play This Game." Had I known that my dreams of winning AOE 4 tournaments while using cataphracts would be shattered, I'd NOT have come here. I'm devastated! D e v a s t a t e d
btw, saying elephants are good makes me feel warm inside. always get told I'm memeing when I make them, but they really just crush everything, especially with full upgrades. the gunner elephants you just casually walk through the opponents base and they just pick off every farming villager.

Also pls give the Order Mace+Twohand upgrade, we need giant golden Maces.
Or perhaps they gain bonuses upon kill? Like increasing levels of drip correlating to the number of buffs?
I can’t say that I’m not being influenced by DemoKnight Eyelanders but given the use of Prelates feels like a naturalist inclusion

I luv how horse archer icon is they shoot backwards while running forward. If u micro very fast they do shoot like Mongudai.
all the abassid stuff being low just goes to show even more they gave all the new toys to ayyubid, and sort of just forgot about the original civ. abbasid should have more camels if anything, or at least another unique unit.
I mean, part of the problem is that Camel Archers were ok for one week before being nerfed again because of the community outcry. Were they too good in that period? No, not at all. They had all the same counters and cost the same amount, they just had a bit more health.
Basically while some units get to be too strong for months or perhaps even a year, CAs were ok for a week, and that was it.
And that's also why they've made tiny adjustments to them since then, rather than buffing them, they seem to have PTSD at how crazy people went at the idea of the unit actually being used.
@@simonkapadia7582 Yeah, its a shame that they're just so absurdly expensive and just get killed immediately by archers (they make decent MAA counters in feudal but longbows just delete them) but my gripe is more just how little abbasid gets compared to all the work they put into ayyubid.

@@terence7009 you need to also consider the fact about both civs overall, Abbasids are OP in their long term while Ayyubids do their best only in short term.
ghulams as an abbis main as of recent; if you have them in castle you can do a good chunk of damage against other MAA and even non- micro’d cav in my experience. downside is they get shredded by hand gunners/janny’s and bombards

Give rus archers a very expensive upgrade to make them like mangudai but it cost 1000 gold and food. They have mongol genes too

Btw haven't finished yet but grenadiers are my single most despised Unit. In ffas they're absolutely disgusting. Somehow they seem to even wreck mangonels by just swarming them.
Palace guards mixed with grendariers good luck even targeting the grenadiers.
Would you have a longer explanation for why you do think mangudai are bad? They seem strong but I am gold tier

It's amusing beasty just forgot to put tower of sultan on the list. What a D- unit
you don't see rus horse archer that much cuz rus just plays feudal, the only time you see them is like you said if someone likes using them and just rushes castle to spawn them.
Gilded Landsknechts are S tier. They have higher hp, they have bleeding damage ability, they can take mangonel shots unlike HRE landsknechts, and nothing beats them when you have 30-40 of them. Of course massing them is extremely difficult.
Feel like your not even supposed to mass them , they act like line breakers from banner lord Nd too expensive and fragile

There is a 0% chance youre serious about this. I hate Otto as much as the next guy, but jannies have always been considered to be mid at best due to their hyper specialization. Neft bombard and jannies are also nerfed
While I don't think Jans are quite at S+ level personally, there are two things to note about their hyper specialisation:
1. They specialise in dealing with cavalry which is exactly what a siege focussed civ like Otto wants since cav could counter siege or out maneuver the often slower Otto army.
2. Jans are so good at this particular job that even the French want to think twice before producing any cavalry against Otto's from castle age onward.

it's a big moving piece of wood which moves slowly and yet costs a lot. total waste, wish they would replace that for something else.

Why does the strength of the sipahi have anything to do with the strength of the janissary. Why the hell would the sipahi drop a tier if the janissary was nerfed? That literally makes no sense

lol, finally yall agree janis are broken. I remember when ottoman first came out you guys were putting janis and GBBs in C or D tier saying the janis were worse riflemen, and GBB too slow. blew my mind. I was playing GBB jani sipahi wondering what drugs yall were on to think they were bad. glad to be vindicated.
but now ive moved on. GBB jani sipahi actually just gets hard countered by sushi's legacy splash bombard, choke a nuke, imperial guard. you get the same 11 range bombards for the opening of the fight that are faster moving and deploying than GBB to kite until the sipahi close in, at which point the range isnt needed and you swap to cavalry charge damage, and the imperial guard, chokes roll then down. janis cant cover the sipahi without being mowed down by bombard fire, sipahi do 2 damage to imperial guard while the imperial guard kill things so insanely fast by the time the GBB get in the fight you lose all your sipahi. if you keep your sipahi covering your GBB then china bombards kite at 11 range for infinity. if the GBB try to duel the china bombard, you can siege shoot and run before GBB siege up.
getting there can be difficult, but zuke nuke horseman beats out most comps, especially at mid conqueror. 150 wood horsemen that later allow you to produce imp guards faster while making economy ridiculously easy to manage is busted at that level. castle dynasty allows so much military so cheep, trade can be built at that time to push imp, where the choice becomes, depending on the civ and strategy the opponent is using, flame arrow chokes first, or imp guard first. generally you will want those 2 before pushing toward splashbards, as well as imp dynasty before splashbards, as the second building gives an insane 35% bonus damage on the imp guards. they beat out fully upgraded order of dragon knights quite readily even. best part is between each clash, all units heal up.
feudal and castle spears should be added in as needed, as well as castle age food eco should be so insane with triangle formation granary plus imperial officials on them that monk spam fills out the front line. 3 officials on the granaries, 1 on mining, 1 on wood, 1 taxing. so your food gets an average, with 30 workers on them, 27% bonus (18-20 with triple bonus, 10-12 with double) with the official 15% MORE over that, making the food gather 46% better than standard. so 30 workers gather like 44. and if you need more, there are still 10 slots with double bonus too if you for some strange reason need the extra food.
18-20 because 2 of the slots allow about 1/3 of the plots to be mined with triple bonus, and the workers during castle age only use 1/2 of the plot, so for 75% of the time they mine with triple bonus, 25% double.
After ottomans first came out they were kind of middle-meh, but they got so much buffs (especially to military schools speed production) that they quickly became one of the most overpowered civ in just two months.
And sepahi always has been very strong.
I think its crazy that there are still people out there who will defend ottomans and otto units as not being overpowered. All pros agree now, ottomans need nerfs.
