Why not use the flow of that stream to work with them rather then against. With them tractors they might have tried mining eater side of the stream first then maybe divert that stream eather side of their workings rather then bitch about one and other in the end. Diamonds aren't rare, just difficult to mine and its that cost that keeps prices high. That and the fact that they are a controlled commodity with De Beers until recently, controlling over 80% of the worlds diamond market.
Funny how when one of the owners helps with sorting through the rough with the local workers/employees he uncovers two decent sized diamonds in one go... You know these employees are pocketing any of the really big one's for themselves the majority of the time. Also the broker running off with the employees pay is probably a scam the workers setup with the broker to try and get more pay.
You don't think they are going to be deeply searched when leaving there? They were given rights to remove but still need to claim with authorities. Hiding diamonds if you aren't one of the villagers isn't going to end well. A villager could easily say they found it elsewhere at a later date if they wanted.

I enjoyed this last episode. The previous ones were driving me nuts with all the BS personality drama. Too many chiefs and not enough Indians. You can tell each one is used to being in charge, so they don't work together well at all. You need rigidly defined roles and job descriptions if that many people with that type of personality are going to work together.
That is what's wrong with rich people they are stingy. Just get the proper equipment a dredge and scuba gear, heated wetsuits. And pay your workers and bring them lots of food, blankets, pots, and pans.

I am a gold prospector. Same concept…..just finding the heavies. Everyone always gets in the water…..working in the water….the geological terrain in this area is very easy to work. Those big diamonds are probably 100-200’ up from the water. The ancient gravels guys….it’s much easier to work, find a pay streak, find some ancient gravel bars and work that whole fucking hillside out.
Can you imagine what a cluster F that would be for that crew? They can't work as a team. Forget actually excavation of a mountain/hillside. Also, they may not be able to legally do that there. That's a massive destruction to land. Depends on laws
