This deserves to be on something like History or something. This is epic!
Facts
Tracie and I are really appreciative of the support and the love we are getting for the show! We are currently working on more episodes and projects to bring to you all! Come get tha Blue!!!!
Woooooooo!
Mount Antero Treasures Productions Do you have a release schedule for episodes at this point?
@@MiningAmerica we are in negotiating with several media outlets. Keep ya posted on the network deal when we know moe more!
Craig Cardwell ok. So this is not a series for RUclips? This is a series for cable or television? Have you guys tried selling it to Netflix or Amazon?
Yes! I've seen every episode of Prospectors. Glad to see you all are back on it. I was sad when it went off. Can't wait for more episodes.
I follow so many gem/crystal/gold/rock prospectors on RUclips and this is beautifully produced. I would say this is TV/Netflix quality, but I think RUclips deserves this content. Even though I'm not a prospector or even a collector, you've managed to capture the excitement of finding these treasures and make it entertaining for the viewer. :) thanks
Wait, so was this on TV or not? If this is just for a youtube channel with 14k subs i am DAMN impressed. Hell of a production.
right?
its a crime they're not on tv
This group of people along with a few other groups (think Gold Rush) made up a show which aired on The Weather Channel a couple of years ago. I really enjoyed it...
This was on tv, and is now on this youtube channel. Its owned by the family in the vid.
This is monecraft in real life. I like it.
We loved the original show on the weather channel and so happy to see you all picking up and running with it.
This is to entertaining not to be a popular series, I can't wait to see more.
1:40 you have no idea how blessed you are to have such beautiful forests, mountains and clear streams!
I love this. I've been mining on and off for about 10 years now. I'm 21. Mining has always been a Hobby of mine, and seeing if turned I to a Livelihood amazes me. I think I know what I want to do with my life now. Thank you guys. These are beautiful specimens
What a classy, Higher Minded, Cool Husband. Beautiful design, setting, and balanced ring. The Couple and their Crew of Geo-Miners are all Intelligent, Creative, and on the positive side of/with their Vibe/Frequency.
Excellent Production and interesting Series.
Enjoy your Explorations and Discoveries ...

I loved the tv show, I'm glad to see we can see this on RUclips now!
Finally!!!! A Real Show that tells a story and gives true details of what Mining and Prospecting is all about and the sacrifices and logistics of Exploration. Well done.... 2 Big Thumbs up!!!!!
this honestly feels like a discovery production, very well done
Suggestion for getting gems out of very tight cracks is aquascaping tweezers. There are 24 inch long stainless steel tweezers used for planting plants in a fish tank that may be of great service to yall.
Good thought!
If only these guys knew about xray texture packs
please do tell me about the xray texture packs
@@haroldvonhelms8304 what are they, never heard of these before? 🤗
ITs Minecraft guys LOL

man that "this is ancient ice you know?" guy made the whole episode for me
Nick G -Holy yeah? That ICE 🧊 be blue
This guy is legit.
REALLY good production quality and I love to feel there is more of an edge, less "produced" feeling ..means you are making it look easy in an insane hard environment. The direction and comparison from any other show before this is WAY different and a massive improvement btw... AND the golden huge nugget of blue in the end is an awesome unicorn to have documented. Bravo.
Them : this 500 feet hike is intense.

This is incredible. I dunno why I'm so interested in mining but I think it comes from my love of the universe and stars and planets. There are no mountains near me and I've never seen one in person. Really beautiful. Great finds
I love that they care for the land and not only take.
Hey Rockhounds! Mt. Antero is about to be wide open for the season to begin! A winter of avalanches and summer starting out with mudslides and torrential rains! Would not expect anything less when it comes to Antero! Here we go Antero! Here we go!
I'm only 3hrs away! How do I come be a guest digger?
Aaand I just found my next show to binge watch!
Would have liked to have seen everyone reaction to that honking big aqua ! It was spectacular !
Finding big boy was an absolute joy! I rate it up there with the top five most exciting moments of my life! Thanks for the post!
So what was it worth in reality?
@@destinationunknown7857 I would guess 3k at the most
After watching all these shows ( this one,Gold mining, diamond mining, and others) I'm SO GLAD I'm happy with what I've got. Nothing against any of the people/shows more power to them. Just saying that I'm happy with what I have.
I jeeped on this mountain. Scary terrain! Much respect for you guys.....
Mining looks so amazing and fun apart from all the bad stuff that can happen thank you RUclips finally recommend something Good
So great. I miss Prospectors... Glad to see you making some videos...
This production is better than Discovery Channel. Just needs the "Deadliest Catch" voice-over guy lol
"I've been mining since I was 2" "I was born into a mining family" Uses Hammer and screwdriver from her Ikea tool kit to dig out Aquamarine. I think she has been mining a very different kind of "crystal" Lately
Ric Aldrich LOL 💀
You don’t have to use expensive tools. Whatever works. It’s not like they’re mining deep underground requiring specialized tools. They’re surface mining. A hammer and a screwdriver would work well in that setting.
@@MrTangent I would've at least brought a 2.5 lb mini sledge to crack rock out of the way if needed that little drywall hammer really cant do a whole lot.. she could have opened up that gap alot wider with a bigger hammer and a chisel and gotten alot deeper to where stuff hasn't been washed out or blown out
@@stonemason9063 multiple ways she could improve
@@stonemason9063 I'd be taking the lightest kit I could at over 12,000 feet. The oxygen starts to get really thin that high and every gram of extra kit takes a lot more effort to haul.
Really glad to see this on RUclips - loved Prospectors and it was frustrating that it was canceled though understandable that some people on the show had issues that made production problematic. Lived to see that Blue 💎💎💎
Wow, great show! Excited to watch more. I really like how they made a point of acknowledging the environmental effects mining has on the earth but also how they try their best in the areas they can to be sustainable human beings!
You are gorgeous!
Aquamarine is my birthstone!
Don't forget geologic forces are uplifting the entire Rocky Mountain range all the time. As the Pacific Plate slides under the North American Plate, the resulting uplift raises the Rockies. The amount of uplift is tiny, when measured on a yearly basis but, when you're talking about geologic time periods [millions or even tens of millions of years], the result is mountains the size of Antero. You can tell the Rockies have been uplifted recently by how vertical they are. Old mountains with gentler slopes have have had time to erode down.
That ladies ring was so magnificent Absolutely incredible 😲
This needs more 'rocks on camera lens' transitions. 500 wasn't enough.
I was thinking that the entire video lmao
I love everything about this video except for this lol
I kept forgetting the topic of the show and then that would helpfully remind me every 45 seconds

Unwatchable. Editor needs to rethink his career
I love watching and I love your ring, just beautiful Tracie. Please keep filming, thanks. 💎💎💎
How freaking cool!! I love the idea of using Grandpa's treasure map. Can't get enough of this. There should be a reality show about gem hunters. I would actually watch that one! Best of luck to your family on the mountain. I hope you hit the blue over and over. I hope to visit your shop one day and spend some green on your blue!

Being from PA about an hr from Pittsburgh I love that he's a Steelers fan. Found this channel through DallmyD and been binge watching videos ever since.
I miss living in salida and seeing Antero every day. My friend Dave bussey and his family made a LOT of money doing what you guys do. Great to actually see footage of how those crazy big stones came down the mountain.
how much money were they making?
Big love from Down Under!
Thank You for sharing this video, very enjoyable. Aquamarine is my favorite gem too
That ring is incredibly stunning. A fitting ring to celebrate a beautiful couple ❤

From Prospectors, loved that show. Ran across this and immediately subscribed. I remember when he was on camera and all his long hair stood up straight. Everyone jumped in the trucks. Lightening in the air.
Just found your video, I am elated. I loved watching the Weather Channel episodes and miss seeing them. Keep making videos for us that can't do it anymore.

LOVE your story of mining being in both sides of your family! I have never explored mining of gem stones and founding your videos so fascinating! Because my birthstone is Aquamarine (and I have been attracted to this stone but find it too pricey for the super high quality ones like you guys mine. However, having coming across HOW you guys mine them really opened up mind big time! In my younger days, I skiied, hiked, camped, climbed the Rockies, so no stranger to high elevations conditions combined short window of time you are faced with! So now I understand why the high quality ones are so pricey :))) … someday I WILL buy one from you guys! And love most the uncut raw clearest ones best! There is a Tahitian Pearl jeweler in Hale’iwa, Oahu who rarely drills into these gorgeous pearls. Instead, he sets them via tension. I have a beautiful Keshe pearl tension set via a flat gold spiral embracing it. So was thinking … because Aquamarine’s hardness is so high, it could also be tension set!
That camp site is awesome, you guys def do it right.

Thank you very much for introducing me to dark pink topaz. Aquamarine is nice. But dark pink topaz is nothing short of stunning!
1.3MIL+ views...and I am just discovering this channel...? Yep subscribed and notified! Grandpa's treasure map. How cool is that.
Prospecting tools - a claw hammer and a screwdriver...LOL!
Yeah, that was depressing. Somebody climbing that high, but not owning proper tools, kinda sad tbh.
Great production! Thank you. :-)
Omg amazing show fr!!!
I’ve climbed antero, and like I can’t imagine staying up there for that long and mining
I love aquamarine, just beautiful.
I thought this was well done. I used to watch Prospectors when that show was airing, hope this will have less drama. Looking forward to future episodes.

Man, I miss you guys on the Weather Channel. Glad I found you again! Careful friends.....you all are MORE precious than gems! ;)
Weather channel ?
@@lazerman121 Yes....Craig & Tracie were on the show "Prospectors", which was hosted on the Weather Channel on TV. The weather channel didn't just do weather, they did Prospectors, Alaskan Railroad, American Supernatural....etc
Prospectors included miners like Craig and Tracie and Amanda Adkins, Steve Brancato, Joe Dorris, Krystle Dorris, Brian & Yolanda Busse and family. Extreme conditions and gorgeous gems....under the gun of the weather and the treacherous geography of Antero and the likes.
Aquamarine, amazonite, smokey quartz, fluorite, calcite, topaz....etc. Was a fabulous show. I miss it!
@@PeachSt8Digger me too. I never missed a show. So interesting and hard work.
@@PeachSt8Digger do you remember the family that found all the nice large crystals. Was on some George area.
My god you guys are brave, that Mt. Antero is a slippy crumbly beautiful place only crazy brave people should go.
Hiked up Antero today for the first time. It was devistating to see all of the scars that the mining and fourwheeling has left upon this mountain. High alpine environments like this need to be protected and respected. Making quick, short-term cash off of pretty gems is not worth the future of our natural resources and watersheds.
Yes machinery should be forbiden in those places, with heavy fines to discourage careless peoples like them.
Some people gotta make a living, and if these are available, then so be it.
@@swapzilla1012 The long term damage to our watersheds are not worth the short-term profits of a a few people. The family that capitalizes on this place is plenty wealthy enough

Just said "howdy" to you in the Indian Food restaurant in the Springs. Good Luck this next season. My family owned the Coronado Motel in BV from 1971-1982.
