- The battle of yultong was something I haven’t heard before and knew nothing about. But the video did a great job of explaining the fighting Filipinos in the Korean War.
PS: Filmed it the day after NYE so a little bit of a hangover in the video ;).

The fighting Filipino is a Warrior with dignity and heart we are not going to War just to be a superior we fight just to protect our country freands and love ones you can take our lives but not our dignity as a Pilipinos the Eagle of the East will Fly again 🇵🇭
“Give me ten thousand Filipino soldiers and I will conquer the world. - Douglas MacArthur
That's why Gen McArthur entrusted
The Filipino soldiers
Gasgas na linya
The US really knows how to make use of the brave filipino soldiers as cannon fodders!
Not soldier scout ranger
Exaggerated
Actually almost Filipino citezin are capable for being a soldeir in case of emergency even though we are lack in practice and experience.. Being a fighter is already flow in our blood as a Filipino thats why some nationality called us a unarmed fighter or soldier.
The term “ang mamatay ng dahil sayo” (to die for the Philippines) is very much engraved in every Pinoy. So much so that when in a fight the saying “patay kung patay” is what we adhere to. I know I do that’s why I don’t want to be in a fight because it’ll be to the death, even my own death. Just the memory of my childhood experience is enough for me to stay away from getting mad. When I was a kid I got bullied by a boy in 4th grade. I was a 3rd grade girl. At the flag ceremony he always picked on me and I already told my parent and the teacher about him to no avail. The only person holding him back was his good handsome friend telling him not to be a bully. Alas, he can’t be with his friend all the time. One day, I was walking home and it was slightly raining. Suddenly, I felt stones swish past me. I looked back and saw the bully throwing them at me and it’s not small either! I tried to run away but he kept following me. Then when one stone nearly hit me on the head, I had enough. I was thinking what if I got hit on the head? My mother will be sooo mad at me aside from crying from rage. I suddenly dropped my bags and books on the road and started picking up the stones he’d been throwing at me and threw it back while running towards him like a madman🤣 You see how Legolas was with his bow and arrow consecutively arming? That’s how I was with the stones I was throwing back at him☠️ I said to myself “mamamatay akong lumalaban kung sakali”(I will die fighting back at least)🤣 can you imagine that from an 8 year old girl? Well, I watched a lot of fight scenes when I was a kid. Fight among families and neighbors 🤣 besides tv.. but that’s with a warning all the time from our elders. So I tried everything to avoid fighting but if cornered: beware! I didn’t see him at school after that day the whole year😍 I thank my God He is always with me. I’m one of His little girl David😍
When i was a g1 someone dares to bully my friend in front of me which is that time i never learn how to fight but for some unknown reason my body starts to move on it's own i pulled my cmates hair really hard that she even lost her hair(not all just some) and started to cry then ny friend tried to stop and i accidentally pulled her hair then keep hitting the bully 😅👉👈😅 somehow she cried lol then there's no one in my classroom dares to fight me even boys 😂😂
Nice History never taught in school. Made me proud that our ancenstors are Mighty Warriors
Man! So proud to be pinoy! I was born back home but grew up in the U.S. (Bay Area).. my family told me to never forget who n' what you are, where your from. I still speak tagalog fluently, studied kali, and cook at home.. my fvorites; dinuguan and sinigang..
Edit; my mom is Violeta Atienza Marasigan, people knew her by her nickname bullet. She did alot for our people/community back home and in the bay area aswell..
Hello Karsten! The 10th Battalion Combat Team was actually understrength when the Philippine government earmarked them to go to Korea. At the end of WW2, there was a big drawdown, so none of the 20 Battalion Combat Teams that then composed the Army was in any offensive shape. They drew men from other services and battalions to make up their numbers. The late Col. Boni Serrano, for example, was then a Lt. in the Philippine Constabulary (like the Guadia Civil or Gendarmerie). He and a platoon were put together and assigned to the 10th. He would win the Medal of Valor in a later battle. My grand-uncle, the late Gen. Vicente Evidente, had just come back from training in the US and hadn't even left the transport ship when he was told to wait on board for the 10th. Emilio Liwanag was a LCR with the Navy when he was assigned to the battalion as the Logistics Officer and the Artillery Battery CO.
Lt. Jose Artiaga would win the Distinguished Conduct Star in Yultong. Capt Conrado Yap would win the Medal of Valor. Ships built or donated to the Philippine Navy by the ROK usually receive names of the heroes of the Expeditionary Force. The Pohang class anti-sub corvette in the PN, for example, is the BRP Conrado Yap.
As to what the narrator was saying about the 10th being armored, it wasn't in a modern sense. The 10th BCT was a combined arms unit, with 1 tank company, 3 infantry companies, an Arty battery, a heavy recon platoon, a headquarters and services company (with MP and Medical detachments). While the 10th was building up and training, the Army sent their tanks ahead on an LST. Bad call on their part. the US Army got hold of those 15 Shermans and pressed them into US service, with the promise that the 10th would receive replacements when they got to Pusan. All the tanks were destroyed when the 10th arrived. And Commander Liwanag could only find 6 unissued M24 Chafee light tanks. So the light tanks were issued to the Heavy Recon Pltn, and Capt Yap- the armored company's CO- was told to form a heavy weapons company from his unit.
On a side note, when WW2 ended, the Philippine Army actually had more tanks and tank destroyers than men who could actually fight in them. over 1000 vehicles were left behind. Many of these vehicles were later donated to a certain country in the Middle East. A lot of those IShermans in the Israeli Defense Forces were formerly PA tanks.
The Peftok Batallion are like 300 spartans They Holding The Ground until the last Breath.

If you want to know more. Watch “March of the Valient Philippines”.This one it’s not an anime.
" this is where we hold them.. this is where we fight...this is where they all die.. remember this day men for it will be yours for all time " ... Leonidas at Thermopylae would have proud
Capt. Conrado Yap kill 130 enemies before he was killed he was awarded the highest medal valor in south korea
the equivalent of 7,000 Filipino soldiers in the Korean war is like 100,000 today considering Philippines only have 15million population then and total 30,000 Armed Forces in the 1950's.. meaning.. we sent 30% of our military to help in the Korean war-- a GREAT SACRIFICE indeed for the Filipinos for the Koreans to achieve what they have now.
Hi guys Happy New Year to both of You! they did not mentioned that even the son of Pres. Quirino went there to

we are a warrior people first and foremost...constant uprisings against the Spanish from the time of the colonization and fought them 2 years before the Americans declared war on Spain, when the Americans took us as a colony....our war not insurrection lasted longer than the Vietnam war.....then the Japanese came and we fought them to take our country back otherwise the Americans would never have beaten the Japanese.....it stands to reason how Yultong turned out....we were a spartan from the time we populated the country 1000s of years ago.
Dugong mandirigma..🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭💪💪💪💪💪💪
People discriminate us, Philippine army are the bravest and very skillful in terrain and jungle wars. Their trainings are brutal....they are the best!. So much so that Foreign soldiers comes to Philippine to train. I am proud to be a Filipino
🇵🇭👉 The "Battle of Yultong" showed the world how Filipinos can fight on foreign land. *How much more if they have to fight for their nation on their own soil?* Now, battle hardened by years of fighting insurgency wars and _with what is happening in the South China Sea,_ *the Philippines could be China's Vietnam.* 👈🇵🇭
please react to the March of the Valiant Expiditionay troops.thats a compleet story of a corean war.
I think they chose the cartoon style because both countries (kr and ph) have a predominantly young population.

It's too late for SK people to reminisce the story of Filpino soldiers fighting for SK's war against china and nk, because if they are really grateful to those who fought for them, the new generation of their people should be aware of this. So how come they don't know anything about the soldiers who fought for there war and know more about the Japanese oppression to their people? Kinda weird.
Please react to the "Battle of Marawi"
