When I was a young boy( 6 or 7 ) I was reading the L.A. times, and some asked the paper," What's a Filipino?", the papers response was "They are short brown people, that will fight anything, anywhere, anytime, anyone". We have a hard time backing down, or running from a fight, Remember, "The only way evil will triumph, is for good people to do nothing". We don't live on our knees.

Gideon won because of his obedience to God's instructions. Each Filipino should realize that the victory is to glorify God and not credit it in our own strength and the ability of the Filipinos.

Back then, the Philippines was the riches country in Asia. We were far advance than the rest of the country here in Asia and so if help is needed we come to rescue without even questioning or ask anything in return. We are the type of people who loves to help even if we are also in suffering. One of the examples is the battle of Yultong in South Korea. Sad that some Koreans descriminate Filipinos not knowing the huge contribution of our Filipino soldiers who risked their lives to fight for a land they don't even know and free it from envaders. Even thou Spain and Japanese envaded us, we never hold grudges because we understand that it was all in the past. I am a proud Filipino here, thank you for this reaction.

Most Middle Schoolers to College Students, may have forgotten, for this history is only introduced briefly but not the entirety of it, for their education system is mostly focused on Math, Science, Philosophy & Arts (Music, Dancing, Painting etc.) . I know you would ask how do i know this? Because i studied here in S.Korea for 4 years in 1 Public school and 2 Universities here in Gangnam. But if you could conversate with Most of the Elderly here they know parts of this History and Yes they know how Filipinos fought for their Country.

Quite interesting aspect to view this war. I'm chinese. My grandpa's brother died in Korea in chosin lake, his comrads said that 1st infantry was tough, except turkey , all none white guy troops suck (fatal number support that). History is written by successors, so I'm here not to seek your unanimous point, but to give another aspect. May peace among the world.

My Grandfather was one of them. They volunteered to go there because they know the feelings of being invaded by enemies. Actually at that time Philippines (especially Manila) was still in recovering period from the very previous war that happened there. When they arrived in Korea it was really hard for them because of the cold climate. But everytime they remembered the situation of Korean people (victims of war/civilians) the brave fighting Filipinos spirit lighten and keeps on burning passionately to win that war.And they really won! My grandfather was able to return home after that war...Thank God =) Mabuhay ..! God bless.. And btw there were so many battles during the war that Filipino Soldiers bravery and intelligence was praised and recognized by the Allied Countries. One of the example was the Battle in Patag Silay here in our Province. At that time the Americans tried to finish the remaining Japanese forces (for more than a month) at the top of Patag Silay Mountain but unfortunately they failed, they were not able to penetrate to the top. So they gave the unfinish task to the Filipino guirillas soldier, and they were shocked. Filipinos soldier made some amazing crafty tactics that even the Americans were impressed.! By the use of those tactics they were able to finish the last remaining Japanese above the hill.. Good night 🎉🎉❤️❤️
