Dude, you have awesome videos! Can you do this with serve the servants? I can´t find the vocals and the guitars, but i think it´s easy for you do that!
He doesn't do that, he just takes the tracks from guitar hero, and guitar hero simply had to ask for the master tapes to have that track, it's impossible to isolate that just from a software
exactly and theres a song written with Kat Bjelland if im not mistaken and considering theyve both spoken about that song i think its rest assured that the album was written by Courtney... plus this is rock not pop music where no one writes their own music
Almost all of the distorted guitar tracks were just a cranked Fender Quad Reverb amp with missing tubes and a few other quirks. He never took the amp on tour because he thought that if the techs got their hands on it and “fixed” it then the sound would change. No pedal will ever replicate this sound as the only way to achieve it would be to play through the original, half broken down amp, or build a perfect replica.
On this one, he used as follows: Boss DS-2 with the Turbo switch tapped off; Fender Twin Reverb Amp; Fender Mustang with hot rails on the bridge; Electro Harmonix Echoflanger (same as the Polychorus). The microphones used were Shure SM57s. 3 tracks were recorded in order to complete the song's guitar parts. They are, however, not double tracked at all.
OtavioFesoares what is double tracking, is it when you record the first guitar and pan it right ear and then record the other guitar and pan it to left ear
+OtavioFesoares where'd you find that info? I checked kurtsequipment & it didn't mention that, so is there another source that's just as good or better for figuring out his recording gear?
+Unko Toire By the way he played this song in their live shows and for the heart-shaped box video, I guess that he played this song with a two humbucker guitar...With his Univox Hi Flyer phase 4 i think.. :)
Many times Kurt used Fender Mustangs, Univox Hi-Flyers, which is the type of guitar he used in the HSB music video, his most iconic guitar is a Sunburst Fender Jaguar which he used on tour quite a lot. He also comprised the idea of the Fender Jagstang and played it on the In Utero tour once. There are many others but he mostly used Fender, Univox, and off brand guitar company guitars.
If I knew how to isolate this stuff, I'd make it my life's work...
Most of the people who upload these isolated tracks get them from Guitar Hero.
and how the isolated it to make guitar hero? Probably they contacted the original producers, maybe...
Yep, they have to obtain the master tapes. There's no plugin or studio trickery that can isolate each individual track to the same level.
Aren't these guitars multiple tracks by themselves? Sounds like about 3x guitar and 1x bas(?)
a guitar player in youtube can replicate almost everything
🤤🤤🤤
i miss kurt
Unko Toire you're not alone brother
We always will😥
same, always will
My favourite Kurt cobain riff
this sounds fuckin' awesome!
The way this riff flows along with the harsh yet mournful vocals really makes this song jump at you

I never met him but I wish he was here showing me more about playing guitars.
you hear this guitar damn, it feel dark but at the same time powerful. It so good
3:04 nice sound and feedback. That G# chord man... Why am I so into music?
@Vitor's sounds nah the guitars tuned down, but its an A chord shape
HSB’s tuning is CGCFAD
@@raoulduke8725 pretty sure it's C#G#C#F#A#D#
Raoul Duke it’s drop d I believe
his tuning is drop d tuned a half step. op was right, he plays a g# chord which is an a chord down a half step
The riffs sound simple but it's so good.
I love raw isolated guitar tracks from songs
The solos is sweet...
But unfortunately it's so sort..
Better then anything Hole are the Foo Fighter wrote! With the exception of "Live Through This". The album Kurt Cobain wrote.
Why would Kurt Cobain write about Courtney's Ex?
Nothing from live through this is kurts style at all you shouldn’t call yourself a fan if you can’t tell the difference
exactly and theres a song written with Kat Bjelland if im not mistaken and considering theyve both spoken about that song i think its rest assured that the album was written by Courtney... plus this is rock not pop music where no one writes their own music

Does any one know what eq Kurt had in his amp?
No idea, but In Utero was recorded with a Fender Twin
A lots of mid range and treble, bass at the middle
Pretty sure all these views are from me
We miss Kurt
Yes :(
ah yes, me & this video meet again
thank you for this upload
Powerfull
And how does it sound so bassy when he activate the distortion?
its your boi skinny penis He’s using the DS-1 Distortion pedal
He used a DS2 & Sansamp Classic on In Utero, he switched to the DS2 after Nevermind but left the settings pretty much the same

anyone know what guitar pedals he is using ?
Tech 21 sans amp classic and EHX Polychrorus in the solo. He used one Fender Twin Reverb, on vibrato pedal, the vibrato in minimun
On this one, he used as follows: Boss DS-2 with the Turbo switch tapped off; Fender Twin Reverb Amp; Fender Mustang with hot rails on the bridge; Electro Harmonix Echoflanger (same as the Polychorus).
