Ed used a PRS Standard, I think, and a Demeter TRM-1 Tremolo for the verses. Jonny, yeah he used a Fender Telecaster with a Marshall Shredmaster into a Fender Eight Five amp
It seems Every guitar tab I read is wrong on this song after listening to this and I am a beginner level guitarist with no knowledge of music theory . Are all the tabs a mashup of guitar one and 2? I would love if someone can point me to the correct tabs to just guitar one as it is played here . I think it sounds the best to me .
Ed plays four different barre chords, he picks them alternately. He starts at G major, goes to B major, then B# major, then Bb major. Then Jonny comes in and plays 4 powerchords on the A and G strings muting the D: C5, E5, E#5 and G5. He picks very quickly, trademark Greenwood.

Jonny doesn't play the riff, so this must be Ed on the verse and Jonny on the chorus.
