I wish my winch reeled in that fast. I also wish I knew how the brake worked can't seem to find anything on it. Does it brake Bidirectionally if spool wound up backwards?
Hey, same thing happened to mine. My conclusion was the same as yours; the fairlead rollers are too far apart. How has it performed since your modification? Has the cable jumped the spool since the fix? Glad I found you video, although I fast forwarded through much of it. I was anxious to see the finished product. Thanks for sharing.

Just bought on on black Friday 2020. Installed June 2021, used twice july 1st and wrapped around. I'm pretty PO'd honestly

My freespool knob shaft broke. Is there any ways to take that out?

What a piece of crap, never buy these winches. Hardly used mine and totally jammed up.
