    Great reaction. His nick name is Farnsey.
    He may not have written the song. But the songs he chooses to record, have to speak to him and have a great message to deliver to the world.
    The songs he does write, all have personal meanings for him. Like Playing to Win which you should add to you list next.
    John was pretty much down and out and joined the Little River Band as their lead singer in 1982. Playing to Win was written to show he was no longer playing around and all grown up and this time he was playing to win..to me his time in LRB really was a turning point in his life and got him ready for his major reinvention as a rock/aldult contemporary artist in 1986 when he recorded the Whispering Jack album and went solo again. From then on it was hit after hit after hit right up till 2015 when he released his last album.
    He has such a long history. Teen idol in the late 60's, King of Pop for 5 years in the early 70's.
    LRB early 80's. and Aussie Music Legend from 86 to now ...the man is unstoppable ❤❤❤

    You're enjoying John's performance and singing is truly delightful. This is the 3rd time I've watched this reaction. John has changed your music life, just as he did mine. Get this right,... As a teenager I was crushing on John Farnham sooo much. One night my parents went out for the night. Little did I know that they were going to see John Farnham live. I didn't find out until they got home and told me. I was completely shattered, but eventually forgave them. I will always love him, he was the soundtrack to my teen years. Hope you're doing well John and my prayers are with you and your family and us fans. Thanks again for your awesome reaction, no doubt I will watch it again. Best of health to you and your family and friends and much love from Queensland Australia 🦘💜

    Some people think that John appeals mainly to women (not sure why they would think that 😁) but he is such a relatable, down-to-earth Aussie "bloke" that the guys are just as big fans. John has kept the same band members and support singers for decades, they call themselves family. He is the first to put his hand up to donate his time for concerts to raise money for drought and flood relief. He showcases and acknowledges different talents of the group - instrument solos, solos and duets from the singers. All these speak to the man he is.
    (BTW He actually tossed the stand twice in this song, once earlier but the camera cut away at the toss, and you just see him holding the stand base.)

      It is awesome to hear about his generosity! 🤝 I remember on the Please Don't Ask Me reaction, I was amazed that he was on stage, with a beautiful woman, in front of thousands of people, and he was so casual and natural. Like it was no different to him than having a few friends over for drinks. Pure class and totally down to earth. We need more like him. Thank you so much for watching 😊

    • @DannyLeeOGT
      @DannyLeeOGT  Год назад +2

      Well, I don't see the song being for women at all, or directed at women. Other than the fact that he's a good looking man. I mean, he's handsome. The singer for tool. He's all about being in touch with your feminine and masculine side, no matter what sex you are. Because we I'll have both
      The reason I say it is maybe a singer who is a more in touch with this feminine side. Can relate more to females. As the singer for tool sings a lot about vulnerability, crying or showing public displays of emotion. But I just think the girls think John is hot and hey, If I was a girl, I probably would as well.

    • @DannyLeeOGT
      @DannyLeeOGT  Год назад +4

      I don't even know where I got that word from. I use it from time to time to describe something I can't really explain. It's not the best, the best song I've ever heard. It's the passion, emotion, Of John, The Aussies And the overwhelming support and love they showed for this man. Also, it hit me really hard at the end, realizing that. Olivia's dead. John may never sing again. And I'll say in the first reaction that. I'm not gonna compare my. Condition to anyone else's. But I hear now that John is having. Lung problems. And that is my condition. End-stage terminal COPD. I also started this channel because when I had an accident in 2018, it destroyed my vocal cords. I had carbon tunnel surgery on both wrists. In the accident, I also paralyzed the whole left side of my mouth. So the channel was about not letting a disability stop you from your art. I just wish the best for John. Also for how the rest of you love him so much. I feel the reaction was my best and worst. Same time, emotion wise, it was the best. Technically, it was the worst I didn't break down anything about the opera, the song. I read the lyrics, but I never interpreted them. But OGL did. And I think it's more important to embrace the emotion at this point in time anyway.

      Thank you, my friend. I knew that, but I didn't know if everyone was supposed to know it, if you know what I mean. That's a message Kirk. And that is a message you don't have to deal with now. So thank you. We know he is super busy. However, that does not stop me from bugging him. LOL. Thank you so much. For all your help. I don't know why she's putting periods. I hate talking to text.................
      So as you're not allowed wreaked my car in the rain. It was up no one's fault no charges or tickets were given. Only a big dent in my car and part of my pride that hurts. My boy is I'm about to get to all of these comments because they are amazing already before I read them. And I may copy this message. And put it at the end of all of my genuine messages that are personalized to each person. So I'm using you as a chalkboard I guess. LOL. For real for real. For real, my friend. Thank you. I'm at a rough day. Man, I'm trying to get ready for a car show that's coming up. It's at the Charlotte Motor Speedway, which is a race track here very close to my house. And I will be putting a lot of videos on and about the cars. But yes, I hear that you're the voice is coming soon.

    • @DannyLeeOGT
      @DannyLeeOGT  Год назад +3

      Thank you very much and yes. As my friend said, it's coming soon. And I just realized that I made that big, old chalkboard message. on your comment. lol Thank you.
      This reaction blew me away from a couple of reasons. One was John himself. His stage presence, his reaction with the crowd, the fact that he's at the same band for all these years. All these things actually remind me so much of my band. I know that's crazy to hear. But I'm sure at least you know that the band tool has a pretty big following that are very loyal. We are called the Toolarmy. And it amazes me how much the same, yet different. We all can be. It's actually inspiring to tell you the truth.
      Next part of the reason I was so emotional in blue a was all of you guys and girls. Aussies and how. And how amazing you all are and have been!!!!
      Third was when it hit me that Olivia's gone, and John may loose His voice, which is one of the best voices I've ever heard. It's in my top 20 and look. That may seem like a big number, but to me, it's not because I have 1000 favorite vocalists. I will say none of them have ever made my top 20 within three songs. So take that as you will. And thank you

      @@DannyLeeOGT Ah man I'm sorry to hear you're having a rough day. I figured it wasn't too much of an issue mentioning an up coming reaction for TCV. Kirk has confirmed it will be done sometime soon and that they had filmed a piece in the open community. I consider that to be an okay to spread the word to those that may been keen to see it. That aside, you take it easy my friend. I hope the damage isn't too great and am thankful that it was only damage to the car and not your good self of any other. Stay safe out there.

    When John chose songs to perform it was the lyrics that were more important to him. As he said, he can do his own thing with the music. The proof of this is in how he turned Help from an upbeat 60's pop song into a timeless classic that he now owns. Try, When The Banners Fall, That's Freedom, In Days To Come. All message songs.

It was kind of like when Johnny cash covered hurt by 9 inch nails. Not sure you're familiar with that, but it was a huge, huge success, and no one had ever heard of a country singer turning a rock and roll song about drug use into a song about his life. Well, john made me throw the damn thing over my shoulder. And I honestly just did a reaction to INXS and just brought it back out lol

    You might have seen him tightening the microphone stand....... that’s the signal he is about to throw it.
    When he throws it up, he usually catches it without missing a note.
    When he throws it forward, then he retrieves it with his foot...... we got both in this video.

But that's the video you're commenting on 😆 I do apologize that I have not gotten to your comments earlier. I see that you are well versed in knowledge. And since you know @Dr_Kapp Then I wanted to be well rested to give you the best reply I could.
      Yes, I destroyed my whole studio with this song. I threw my lightsaber as you would call it. Right before he threw his mic stand. And when he picks it up with his but I think I refer to him as a ninja with that thing. 😂

      @@DannyLeeOGT Dr Kapp is the expert, she often corrects my mistakes and poor memory...... but have been around rock music since 1966 , I read a lot , dissect the misinformation and promotional Bull before rejecting it, and now forget most of the facts I once knew or at least believed...... if I have 60% right I am happy.
      Unfortunately , there are too many lies and edited interviews to really know the truth. lol

      I'm so sorry I have been missing your comments. I know one day this will not be possible. Well, unless I just go completely stagnant as a channel. But my point being without sounding narcissistic Is we tried to comment to everyone or replied to every comment on the channel. as I am disabled and basically retired at 44 years old I have plenty of time. although I'm on a clock as far as my time on Earth. But we all are. So instead of complaining about the time I may not have left, I should enjoy the time that I do have left. Anyway, I'm really sorry. I feel like you're like, oh, hell, he has come in to everyone but me. What a jerk. I'm not a jerk. I promise. I can't promise that, but I don't think I am. LOL. Thanks for all your input. And I'm going to the rest of your comments now and I won't leave such a long and tangent type response.

      Love the Johnny Cash reference I am from North Carolina and I am an honorary Aussie if you keep going on the channel rabbit hole you will say that I'm just a bloody bloke you're just a plain Jane Sheila and we don't really like the Little Rock over there with all the kiwis but we love them coffee is not just coffee it's a culture this is why Starbucks did not understand and had to leave that land that's down under because if it wasn't it would get eaten by everything in the middle that's trying to eat you this is why everyone lives on the coast from Perth to Sydney I can honestly say I have as many Australian friends do I talk to every day as I look down at my Tim tams and my Scotch finger biscuits that were sent to me straight from Oz yesterday and my Darrell Lea Whipp
      Aussie made since 1927

I have end stage terminal COPD 14% lung function a terrible wreck that knocked out all of my teeth this is why I can't talk so well in my reactions half of my mouth is paralyzed I have three of the loves of my life who are all in the grave my father passed away on my birthday and the reason I became a reactor is because I found reaction channels because my best friend took his life on my birthday I'm sure he didn't know it was my birthday two years removed from my father passing he had a note in his pocket that was for me I got a few things to tell his family but the message to me was to well let's say do whatever I want with his ex-girlfriends or cussing or put him down but never ever feel guilty for what he has done it was his choice and maybe I was the reason he spent more days than he did and he said listen to Alice in Chains don't follow and to live my life full throttle and never think of how he ended but how he lived the memories we shared
