I find it funny that you took Avenged Sevenfold's most derivative and, personally, what I consider their worst work and actually liked it. I quite dislike this entire album despite considering them my favorite band. Great reaction regardless, love your positivity. I don't think the rest of their repertoire is derivative, and don't get the comparisons to Metallica/Black Sabbath and co. outside of that particular album (Hail to the King) and maybe another couple of songs. If you want to hear something different from them I'd recommend deep cuts like Fermi Paradox, Save Me, The Wicked End, Cosmic, Exist, Chapter Four, or M.I.A. to name a few. To me, City of Evil, The Stage, and Life is But a Dream... are albums that if you listen to will completely dispel the impression that you currently have as they move more towards prog. Either way, subbed, looking forward to more A7X!

I am really glad you picked this version to watch. It is very close to what the studio version is in melody. A very stripped back melancholy song vs the other one. I think there is guitar in the studio version also... but just having that gorgeous piano as the only instrument was beautiful. I'm 67, grew up on these heroes. My great uncle and George were good friends. I met George at uncle's house when I was about 14. We had a cookout and the guitars came out. My uncle played cajun music. I will never forget that day. Oh, I forgot, Hank Jr. was with George.

Oops, forgot to say that this is a live audio from the show, i have the cd version and the vocals are completely different, he's got alot more rasp sound in this performance, this was from a show in denver colorado, also, when you're saying you think "pour some sugar on me" is about drugs, was that a joke? I'm asking because obviously it's about sex, ive heard joe elliott mention many times that it can be about any kind of sex you want it to be, the sond "mirror mirror " on the album " high and dry" is about drugs!

This is such a beautiful and great upbeat song that warms the heart. John’s vocals, well totally incredible as usual, John is the greatest and most versatile male vocalist of all time, he can sing anything, any genre and to see and hear him live, there is no better than John with live vocals that are even better quality than studio. The band are so on point as they always are, just so tight and just sound incredible and then those incredible backing vocals are the best of the best, such beautiful harmonies and synced so tight. Outstanding performance all round.

Sorry it took me a few days fellas. Just want to let you guys know how much I appreciate you guys keeping it 100% all the time. If you don't know, you say it or if you're not sure you say that as well. Another reactor reacted to The Conversation the other day, and she asked about what Bocephus was. The 1st comment someone made was that Hank's people came up with that name when started to make his music. Boy, it burned me up inside. Nothing worse than making shit up to try to make you look smart. When in truth when caught you look like a dumb ass. Anyway, this whole album was FIRE!!! It was so good, here are some songs the were LEFT OFF. Hank did covers of Skynyrd's Don't Ask Me No Questions, Cash's I Guess Things Happen That Way, and Sonny James' Young Love and they were left on the cutting room floor. There is one song I really think you need to do a deep dive into. As 12 year old boy, I used to skip over it because it's not the usual Hank song. But as I got older, I realized how personal it was to Hank. It's pretty much his musical life in about 4 minutes. The song is called Shadow Face. As always, keep up the good fight,

Uncle Fester's crazy train

Geddy's voice is difficult for some but I find it instrumental in the bands use to help convey the image and story of the song. As for drumming, Neil explores the realm of percussions, so to say he is just a drummer would be to diminish what he was to the band. If he could hit it with a stick and make sound out if it, he would incorporate it into his set. For something not mainstream, watch Xanadu live and you will see what the professor can do.
